Yndraman
So I'm having a little trouble as I'm currently equipped with a thunder hammer so only plasma pistol and kraken bolter for ranged, just wondering if I've completely screwed myself over or if theres something I'm supposed to do that I'm too stupid to realise atm. X nosgoth X
***Possible Spoilers*** I'm neck deep in multiplayer at the moment but if you're talking about the big orc boss, you should be fine. There's ammo crates all around that give you unlimited ammo resupplies. Just dodge his attacks (should be pretty easy) and use your hammer to kill the swarms of enemies that come out every now and then. Do keep shooting him as much as possible though. After a while he will jump on top of a ledge. Again, just keep shooting him and shoot the exploding enemies as soon as you see them. They present a chance to blow up any enemies that are coming from behind the big boss. The misc. enemies will give you a chance to replenish your health, be it via execution or unleashing your fury meter. It may take a bit but it's not impossible by any means. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
Neo Crusader
So what u should do is restart the chapter and pick up the power axe or chainsword and a melta to deal with those pesky orks that come through the walls. When fighting the boss don't use ur melee weapon use ur bolter and just evade when he charges continue this till he jumps on the ledge and then just unload on him till he falls off the rest is pretty stright forword. Hope this helps.
Suiken
Yeah, this is why the thunder hammer generally sucks in single player. The Ork boss was a cakewalk with the meltagun.
The Black Zero
warboss grimskull has a severe allergic reaction to lascannon shots to the face! i went lascannon, melta, and poweraxe just to get the most firepower and still have a little melee speed
Miles Prower F6
It's a pretty simple fight with the thunder hammer, I beat him on hard the first time with it without dying. You just evade his charges and hit him with the hammer 1 or 2 times, then evade away before he pounds the ground. The key is to not shoot him until the last phase of the fight, because it prevents you from evading briefly which can result in him bull charging you successfully. Then you just save your Fury guage whenever you build it up to heal yourself, the thunder hammer clears out the regular orks easily and builds up the Fury guage fast. Yndraman
So I finally got a chance to play again and it was pretty easy in the end, don't know why I was having trouble with it. Dropped the thunder hammer straight after though, shame that fight soured me on it cause it was so much fun for the squads of ork boyz.
mercianix
I just took advantage of the unlimited ammo stores in each corner of the room to spam the melta. Sure you need to dodge now & then but he goes down in no time even on hard. Plus the melta takes care of any orks & gretchin stupid enough to get in your way without you even giving them any consideration.
