anyone else fucking love that song they play there... it's amazing i think.:omg

As i recall, when in academia 400AF the top left section by the gate also plays this song, and what's also sadder is that if you approach the bodies on the floor they scream in agony so it kind of fits the song.

It's good, but it really bums me out playing in that area. I'm fond of the music you hear in Academia 4xx when you're around the shops and chocolina. Could listen to that forever. I'd put a link, but I can't figure out for the life of me what it's called. It's driving me nuts.

Chocolina appears in 3 spots D:

That's the only song name I know from Academia 4XX, A couple of the songs used in Academia are from FFXIII's soundtrack.

Crap lol. Forgot about that. I tried looking on the soundtrack descriptions but I couldn't find anything for Academia 4xx. It's the chocolina near the gate there. It's really upbeat and light walking music. Nothing heavy like a battle song. It might be from the FFXIII soundtrack, I do remember some songs being reused, but I don't remember this song in FFXIII. Thanks for looking though!

Depends on which gate. If you mean the gate to Vile Peaks, that is a FFXIII song, it plays in Valis Media.

Using Spoiler tabs to keep from lagging page too much. I want to find which song you are talking about. :D

While on the topic of music, I really enjoyed this song in Archylte Steppe :)

Hey you found it! Ha, that's funny how a light song like that is called "March Of The Dreadnoughts." Pity that it only plays near that one gate. Thanks, that's been bugging me for a while. The Yaschas Massif and Plains of Eternity songs are great too. So relaxing.

  • 2 weeks later...

I notice that there are some songs that exist in the game, but not in it's soundtrack, like March of the Dreadnoughts, The Promise (Sunleth Waterscape 400AF), and Cocoon de Chocobo (in the Chocobo Racing part of Serendipity) to name a few.

I find Yuel's theme, Song of the Farseers, and both versions of Noels theme tragic sounding.

I am not familiar with the Sunleth Waterscape song, but the other 2 you mentioned are from FFXIII, which is why they aren't on FFXIII-2's OST.

Listen very closely in the background...it's the original Background music from XIII's Sunleth Waterscape. (Skip beyond the beginning and the intro to to the area where there's a dialog to hear the background music better.)

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2CVzn-ymr8]Final Fantasy XIII: Sunleth Waterscape - YouTube[/ame]

Then listen to this.

You're probably not familiar because the song on the soundtrack is called The Sunleth Waterscape on the soundtrack or Sunleth Waterscape on youtube.

what song is it that plays during the giant flan battle that has the words die in it a good few times ?

I remember this song playing during the flan fight, but since you fight him 3 times, I don't remember if it changes... This is the one I remember

Actually, I do know that song. I didn't know if SE changed the song they used in Sunleth for FFXIII-2 or not, since they seem to mix it up. You listen to that song in FFXIII while playing Vanille :)

When I heard it it didn't sound changed at all. It really does play in Sunleth Waterscape 400AF. When I played that stage I wondered 'why does this song sound familiar?'.

I think we all know this already.

and

I was listening to FFXIII's soundtrack (you can guess how I got it) and got to Fabula Nova Crystallis and thought 'hey this song sounds familiar!'.

*for the first video skip to when Serah speaks to the Dream 'Lightning'.
