DarkSephiroth
DLC: Arcade Edition Difficulty: 3/10 Offline: 140:gsicon: Online: 20:gsicon: Time to 160:gsicon:: 5 hours Unobtainable: None. *Made for the use of xboxachievements.com don't copy this Guide without my permission. Roadmap Achievements in the DLC are mostly straight forward and pretty easy compared to what the original list throwed at us. Only hard part this time is probably Seth(the last boss of Arcade mode) as he can seem to be pretty unfair at first but you’ll see that even he has a pattern that he follows. 1.Online There are only 2 online achievements in this DLC and they take about 10mins to do so change your title and icon to new and shiny AE versions and go battle online. After that check leaderboards and select any player and use start button to follow him or her to get the other achievement. 2.Arcade You have to play arcade mode through with all the new characters (Yun, Yang, Evil Ryu and Oni) on normal without using continue so that means no Zangief method but you can use second controller to save yourself from losing. You can also edit the settings so 1 round and 90sec(30sec if you are aiming for time out wins) should make this as fast as possible. FAQ: hyakuretsukyaku = Seth's special move where he does a spinning kick. Shoryuken = Seth's special where he does a rising punch high into the air. U1 and U2 = Simply Ultra move the number indicates which ultra. Focus = Focus attack that is a move that can be charged making it so powerfull that it will break your block. You can break Focus attack by doing 2 or more hits before it's charged fully. Neutral jump = means you just jump straight up and don't press any attack buttons in the air. xx = just means that you combo another move into another. DP = means Dragon Punch/Shoryuken it is done by http://i48.tinypic.com/2m63jo3.gifhttp://i46.tinypic.com/fvitqw.gifhttp://i50.tinypic.com/2s6vuw3.gif qcf and qcb = quarter circle forward/back looks like: http://i46.tinypic.com/fvitqw.gifhttp://i50.tinypic.com/2s6vuw3.gifhttp://i48.tinypic.com/2m63jo3.gif hcf and hcb = half circle forward/back: http://i50.tinypic.com/11kbjnk.gifhttp://i45.tinypic.com/2s0b9k9.gifhttp://i46.tinypic.com/fvitqw.gifhttp://i50.tinypic.com/2s6vuw3.gifhttp://i48.tinypic.com/2m63jo3.gif Rekka = is a Special move for yang example, where you have to do qcf or qcb+ any punch, 3 times in a row. EX = makes special moves more powerfull but costs one part of super bar, you perform EX special by pressing to attack buttons instead of one. TC = is target combo, you can check characters target combos from the command list, they are in the Unique Attack list and are simply named Target Combo 1, 2, 3 etc. 3.Arcade Hardest/mop up Evil Ryu’s and Oni’s power is so great that they are now new additional secret bosses in the arcade mode and you have to get to them and beat them on the hardest difficulty. Requirements to make them appeare are on the guide below but this time you can use any character you like so Zangief and his lariat is you best bet to knock these achievements with relative ease. At the end this shouldn’t take more than 5 hours to complete unless you are playing this for the very first time then practicing Ultra/super moves and fighting with Seth might take a bit longer. Achievement Guide http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/1224/UP4udLA=.jpg The Awakening 50:gsicon: As if you could ever defeat Evil Ryu in Arcade Mode on the hardest difficulty. See for yourself! You have to unlock secret boss Evil Ryu after last boss of arcade and beat him on hardest difficulty. Requirements for Evil Ryu to appeare are: Never lose a round. *You can use second controller and press start on it to save yourself from losing. 10 first hits (5 if you are playing with only 1 round). *first hits are the very first unblocked hit in a round and you can get only 1 in a round if your opponent doesn’t beat you to it. 4 or less ultra/super finishes (2 or less if playing with only 1 round). *finisher is when you beat enemy with super or ultra, it doesn’t count to this if you do ultra/super and the opponent isn’t beaten. 2 or more perfect rounds (1 or more if playing with 1 round) *You get perfect victory if you win a round with your health still yellow. You can block attacks but not special attacks as they do chip damage and void perfect victory. You must K.O. Seth (last boss on Arcade) with a Ultra move. * if you miss your ultra, press start on the second controller to try again. Remember you have to take damage so your revenge bar fills up to perform ultra move. If you followed this list of requirements, Evil Ryu should appeare after Seth. if you however got Akuma, you didn’t finish Seth with ultra. If you got Oni, you did too many ultra/super finishers. Easiest way to get this done is to use Zangief and mostly spam his lariat PPP move ( on default buttons) even on hardest the pc doesn’t handle it well and just loses. Just remember that you have to also do perfects and super/ultra finishes. Zangiefs ultra motion is two full circles+PPP() and super is two full circles+any punch (, or ) and those are easier to do after a jump as you can do those full circle motions in the air and press PPP when you are on the ground next to your opponent. You might want to practice that a bit before jumping into arcade. http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/1224/UPuMn0k=.jpg Birth of the Oni 50:gsicon: To surpass the power of Oni, you must defeat him in Arcade Mode on the hardest setting. You have to unlock secret boss Oni after last boss of arcade and beat him on hardest difficulty. Requirements for Oni to appear are: Never lose a round. *You can use second controller and press start on it to save yourself from losing. 10 first hits (5 if you are playing with only 1 round). *first hits are the very first unblocked hit in a round and you can get only 1 in a round if your opponent doesn’t beat you to it. 5 or more ultra/super finishes (3 or more if playing with only 1 round). *finisher is when you beat enemy with super or ultra, it doesn’t count to this if you do ultra/super and the opponent isn’t beaten. 2 or more perfect rounds (1 or more if playing with 1 round) *You get perfect victory if you win a round with your health still yellow. Remember you have to take damage so your revenge bar fills up to perform ultra move. If you followed this list of requirements, Oni should appear after Seth. if you however got Gouken, you didn’t finish Seth with ultra. If you got Evil Ryu, you didn’t do enough ultra/super finishers. Easiest way to get this done is to use Zangief and mostly spam his lariat PPP move ( on default buttons) even on hardest the pc doesn’t handle it well and just loses. Just remember that you have to also do perfects and super/ultra finishes. These kind of achievements require you to play through Arcade mode with X (AE) character at least on medium without using continue. That’s why you can’t use the Zangief method on these but you can use the second controller to save yourself from losing. If you have a second controller put both on and start Arcade mode. You have to play at least on medium difficulty so choose that. Put fight request to off, rounds to 1 and timer to 99sec so you have more time trying to win or if you prefer on 30sec so you can win with time outs. Just be careful not to lose by time out or you have to start from the beginning. If you are losing just pause the game and get your second controller near and immediately push start () on the second controller to when you get out of the pause menu to save yourself from losing. Then just beat the second player and you can try again. Seth can be very annoying and I can't help you fight him but I can tell you what moves you can punish and how! Follow one player in the Leaderboards. To follow a player you need to go to the xbox live battle menu and to the leaderboards. There choose any player you wish and press to bring up their info then press to follow him/her. You’ll get the achievement immediately and you can unfollow the player after that by pressing at their info card as you will receive uploads from players you follow. http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/1224/UPm+-pY=.jpg New Threads 10:gsicon: Use a new Title and Icon, and fight in one Xbox LIVE match. Right on! All you have to do is press on the main menu to get to the Icons menu, use or to move through sheets and after the last page there are new Icons for the AE characters. Pick any you want and press to get to the Title menu. Do the same thing and after you have new AE title AND icon go to play online. Ranked, Endless or even Team battle and after finishing the match (win or lose) you get the achievement. DarkSephiroth
Quick Question: Is it still possible to unlock Long Time No See achievement from Super SFIV, when Birth Of Oni achievement from Arcade Edition has the same requirements? If you meet the requirements and K.O. Seth normally (no ultra or super) you should get Gouken and the Long Time No See achievement. Just remember you don't get to continue against hidden bosses so if you are losing, use a second controller to save yourself or you have to do it all over again.
