TpYourHouse
No. You figure they would actually shut them down to save money because only about 10 people play it.

the_b1ues
I still think its stupid when games do this i can understand if the consals was stopped like the dreamcast but you could still play some games on that a while after. Its even worse with the achievements there perminatly stopping people complete games that they have payed for.

A Perfect Thief
Yeah but iv noticed a lack of people on games like this now so its hard enough getting them anyway.
A Perfect Thief
For example there are sites dedicated to getting the 1000 prfiles online achievement for nba live
Muckrak3r
EA shut down the servers for Tiger Woods 2006 when the 2008 edition released. I wouldn't be surprised to see COD2 and then COD3 phased out eventually. But it would be weird to have them shut down 3 before 2. I seriously doubt that will happen. KIDDRAGON67
If they do Micrsoft should step in, what's the point of paying money for a game which you will be un able to play, and it will scare your gamercard with a few missing achievments. gdozer1
Yah I doubt that's going to happen. But I need to get the online achievements just in case.

dakisbac
You can't really even compare what EA does with their games to Activision. EA hosts online off their own servers, thus they can take them down at their leisure (which I disagree with, but that's irrelevant) however Activision does not. Unless it's an EA game, no matter how few people (even 0) play, the servers stay up. I remember playing GRAW in 07 with constant rumors that the game was getting shut down. It's 2009 now and they're still up
big red marino
So from the sound of it...I should take the rumours about these servers shutting down when MW2 comes out, with a grain of salt.
Ravenousguy
Well hopefully it is still a rumour about them shutting down. Call of duty 3 is a great game online and since i only just got back into the game it would be a shame to be denied anymore online play.
Terrin
yea games on xbox one are still up in running, ea is the only company that is randomly going to shut down servers they go by how many users are playing, unless its a sport game then they have a set period per game
