Xenodimension
I could never get into Duke Nukem, his sayings did get old after awhile. So definitely DOOM.
kaseywc98
Duke, you can't compete with the Doomguy!
rushy_23
Much prefer the levels and gameplay in Doom. Duke seems a bit all over the shop after the first few LA Meltdown levels.

theirishmagnum
Hmm I choose both because they came out at different times, and two different games, so it's kinda pointless to compare?! They're both great games:drunk
DLLLM2
Even though I wasn't at the age when these games came out, I have played them both, Duke Nukem at my friends house and I own Doom one and two on my xbox and I have to say Doom for me is just better. ronnie42
Doom because Doom is legendary. Duke nukem 3d is a great game but Doom pretty much defined 'fps' so play Doom first or your putting the entire gaming community to shame.

Smapde
Doom is timeless. And while I love Duke 3D, it hasn't aged nearly as well.
FatalDeathSG45
I'm aware that the last post is over two months old, but I still feel that I should express my vote on here. I love Doom. I first played Doom on the Super NES and fell in love with the series ever since. I even have Doom for the Nintendo 64 and Doom on the PS1 (I no longer have a PlayStation, but I've kept Doom because I love it so much). Doom 3 was decent, but it doesn't have that same magic that the classic Doom has. Which is why I'm happy that Doom and Doom II have been re-released on XBLA. Nothing against Duke Nukem, but it just isn't as good. I've only played a few DN games on the N64 and one on the PS1. While they were decent, they just weren't as exciting as Doom. And don't even get me started on Duke Nukem Forever...
IEO500
Doom was made 1995, and Duke made 1996. They did the same engine but still failed to make it better than doom IMO. Edited September 14, 2013 by IEO500 Doom wasn't made 2005 LOL!
