Roadmap

Overview:

- Estimated achievement difficulty: 7/10

- Offline: 10/12 (160http://tinyurl.com/gicon)

- Online: 2/12 (40http://tinyurl.com/gicon)

- Approximate time: 6-8 Hours

- Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 (3 recommended) + 15 MP levels

- Missable achievements: None

- Does difficulty affect Achievements? 2 (Superhero! and Earthworm Never Dies)

- Unobtainable achievements: None

Introduction:

Rediscover the grooviest action game of all time in full hi-def glory with Earthworm Jim HD! For the first time, grab friends and combine your wormy powers in four-player co-op locally or online. Explore all the original levels, experience wild gameplay, and rock to the remastered cult soundtrack. There's even more to discover with brand new enemies to blast into pieces and never-before-seen locations. Now that's groooovy!

Step 1: Easy Playthrough

It would be wise to have at least 3 playthroughs of single-player. The first playthrough go for the easier Achievements (Bin Collector, Atom Raider, Atom Jefferson, Space Collector, Super Space Collector, Canadian Stunt, Banker Whipper and Snot An Achievement). This will give you a feel for the game and try to memorize some of the levels.

Step 2: Original Playthrough (Superhero!)

This playthrough you will need to beat the game on Original difficulty under 50 minutes. See Superhero! achievement description for speed run videos. This has to be done in one sitting.

Step 3: Original Playthrough (Earthworm Never Dies)

On your third playthrough you will need to beat the game on Original difficulty without dying and in one sitting.

Step 4: Multiplayer Levels

Your best bet is to get a friend to help boost these achievements. If you don't have anyone to help you, you can try the achievement trading thread HERE.

Conclusion:

The game can be quite challenging at times, but take your time and get to know the levels. Use the given videos to your advantage. It may take some time to get the full 200:gsicon: in this game, but it's not impossible.

Kill Billy the Bin in New Junk City

This is the first boss you will encounter and is fairly easy. Simply hold :xbut: or :rtbut: and you will have him killed within a minute. This will also unlock Earthworm Jim's Groovy Shirt Avatar Award.

Collect 100 atoms (without exiting the game)

See "Atom Jefferson"

Collect 500 atoms (without exiting the game)

Simply collect 500 atoms without exiting the game. Easily obtainable with normal playthrough. This might require multiple playthroughs. If you do not collect 500 atoms on your first playthrough of the game, simply select "Continue" from the Main Menu and replay any of the levels to collect more atoms. Here is an easy method suggested by M0KKAN:

This can be done pretty quickly by repeating the intro to Buttville. Collect as many blue orbs as you can while helicoptering.

Start by jumping left and grabbing back onto the starting platform - this will net you 4 extra orbs. Then jump off to the right and when you come to the Y, take the right path and then stay right in the open area with single spikes and finally take the left at the next Y. You can either restart here or continue for a short bit - I usually stopped at the third hornets nest.

Pause, select 'Restart Level' and repeat.

Be "No.1" in each Xbox LIVE multiplayer level

The best way to get this is to go through each multiplayer level with a friend and just outscore them in each level.

The levels are:

1. The Junks Are Back in Town!

2. Billy the Bin

3. Four to the Lava

4. Serial Lava

5. In a Wormy Submarine

6. Give me Five!

7. V for Vendetta

8. Space Wormity

9. Saint Pete's Apostles

10. Space Dividers

11. Food Intoxication

12. Gastric Issues

13. Spikes Peak

14. Chips Chop Back!

15. Bump a Dump a Diddle Doo

Use the whip to swing from any moose head in Single Player mode

This can be achieved as early as the first level "New Junk City". Simply locate the Moose Head and press :bbut: to use the whip and swing from the Moose Head.

Get through Single Player mode in Original difficulty in one sitting in under 50 minutes

Exactly what the Achievement description states. Play through the entire Single Player mode in Original difficulty in one sitting in under 50 Minutes. My best advise is to simply rush as fast as you can and do not worry about collecting Atoms, Orbs or Extra Lifes.

Here are some speed run videos by Mecha Richter:

Whip the banker twice in What The Heck?

Achieved on the level "What The Heck", you will first encounter the banker after using the first rotating green gem. After crossing a chain you will encounter the Banker behind the first gate that you must raise by whipping the gear. Simply press :bbut: when near the banker to whip him. Whip him twice to unlock the Achievement.

Collect more than 100 Blue Orbs (without exiting the game)

See "Super Space Collector"

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1186/+-d2sg==.jpg Super Space Collector - 20http://tinyurl.com/gicon

Collect more than 300 Blue Orbs (without exiting the game)

Blue orbs are found during the races. You can get this through multiple playthroughs as long as you don't exit the game. An easy way to get this is to load up a race level and when you get to the end just restart the level. Repeat this until the achievement unlocks.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1186/+dZ-Bw==.jpg Snot An Achievement - 10http://tinyurl.com/gicon

Launch the cow in New Junk City

Easiest Achievement in the game. You will encounter the cow on the first level "New Junk City" within the first minute. Simply shoot the Refrigerator hanging over the cow to launch him.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1186/+DaHlA==.jpg Earthworm Never Dies - 35http://tinyurl.com/gicon

Clear Single Player mode in Original difficulty in one sitting without losing a life

By far the hardest Achievement in the game. You must beat the entire Single Player mode in Original Difficulty and you cannot die, not even once. If you've played through the game already then you have an idea of where they enemies are and what to do. And of course, take your time.
