DOPE BOI
Battle Points seem to be the only thing that keep from from S ranks on some stages...is there an effective way to build those up? Holding down B will do a charging uppercut and when they are on their back hit Y next to them. That move gets you some points but you have to make sure you are not in cooldown mode for the heavy attack. Also make sure when you do hit and knocked back you are hitting A to recover, you get points for those too. Try and counter as much as possible and look for the pattern of bosses and strike when they are open for more opportunity to do more damage. You get better the more you play. ElvisOfTheDead
Thanks! Any particular gauges more effective? Like reduced cooldown, or faster fill?
Sargentdog
Use the obliterator gauge. It keeps you in unlimited mode permanently so you don't have to worry about cool downs and can't be interrupted.

Yeah, that's the beast I'm trying to unlock
MrVan77Redux
I improved my BP on some stages by fighting enemies a little longer after I got my burst instead of just using the burst right away.
DarkReign2021
If you don't have the obliterator yet, than my suggestion is to use the Thermoregulator. It makes the cooldown time for your power attack shorter, which is useful both in battle points and completion time so long as you don't have trouble staying alive on later episodes.
