A slightly odd question, but hear me out...

Hey guys, listen I've got a slight problem that I figured, maybe x360a would know how to solve, and it's to do with my hips. Basically, they are quite bony and it's pretty noticeable, and it can get quite annoying trying to get jeans to fit without the use of a belt, because basically I don't have a waist!

Now, the other reason that it's annoying is a certain lady friend remarked about it, and said that my hips were digging into her, and quite frankly, if I can stop that happening, it would be great! :p

Anyone know any way how I could stop them from feeling as bony? I eat a fair bit, but I'm very slim still as I'm only 18, and my metabolism seems to kick ass!

Cheers guys!

You could always try to eat protein bars and drink protein shakes to help build some fat (assuming you just eat and drink that and don't work out). I'd recommend any kind of shake or bar with a high fat and/or protein intake (Muscle Milk, Myoplex ultra, Clif Bars, Powerbars, and etc...)

It'd be faster than working out, but lifting weights is the healthier way to become less bony. If you decide to do the weights route, I'd still recommend the protein bars and shakes because that'll help build muscle faster.

Try a diet to build up on body fats, and in the meantime try some suspenders with jeans/trousers. They're of course not really cool unless you're a lawyer, but if you're not bothered about being fashion concious just throw some on over a button shirt and hope to god nobody's going to twang them. That and it's more like having said trousers hanging off of your shoulders.

You should consult a specialist, a nutritionist or something.

This thread is about to get hilarious.

Too late!:biglaugh But like everybody else said, Protein, protein, protein!!! Really helps. Don't think there's much to help slow down your metabolism, so good luck there!!! My boyfriend's the same way, I tell him his is like someone throwing ice cubes at a volcano; they melt before they make contact and he's 43!

I had the same problem with gaining weight and I tried everything. weight gain shakes and protein and all that isn't going to do any good. The best way to gain weight is to eat every 3-4 hours, and I mean decent size meals. Stick to anything with loads of carbs. It sucks for the first week or so because it feels like you're going to explode, but it works. When you start gaining weight, THEN you start with the protein and working out.

I'll try and get some protein supplements and see where it goes, I mean I must eat about 3500 calories a day, quite frankly I love food, yet I don't show it at all! I'm not quite sure where the fat goes, must go to my head or something! :p

If you just snack on protein bars and shakes in between meals, I guarantee you'll gain some weight.

Wait till you're 30; you'll dream of the days when you wanted to gain weight. D0od, I have to walk 5 miles a day just to keep my 'sitnround playing video games weight off. Time is brutal to anatomy, the ego too.
