Introduction:

Welcome to MotoGP’06 this game is tough; this game starts you off with a pretty steep learning curve. Which makes about 90% of the people who play tend to give up within the first hour, but I guarantee if you follow this guide you will find yourself with all 1000http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png. Once you get the hang of the controls and proper tuning you will become a pro at this game.

The accredited glitch:

This will make your life a hundred times easier to complete almost anything in the game. You are going to start up the game under a different profile, then enter Gran Prix. When it asks you to distribute points just press A. Then leave the race, and sign out, and sign back in with your main account. Now when you go into Gran Prix you will have the 18 distribution points that the other account didn’t spend. Basically add the points then sign out and back on with the other and continue the process until you have all 400 points. The accredited achievement won’t unlock until after your first race.

Bike Set-up/ Perfect Tuning:

I have spent literal hours testing good and bad tuning set-ups and I believe I have found the all-around best settings. I greatly advise you to save this exact set-up so your life will be a hundred times easier.

Front tire compound – soft

Back tire compound – soft

Gear Ratios:

Multiplier: 20

1st: 1.30

2nd: 1.80

3rd: 2.35

4th: 2.90

5th: 3.50

6th: 4.10

Front suspension hardness: 5

Rear suspension hardness: 5

Wheelbase: 1520mm

SAVE*

Next Step Controls:

Yet again to make your life easier use these instead of the default. This is what makes people rage quit the game almost as fast as the vicious AI.

RT: Accelerate

LT: Brake

X: Rear Brake

Leave the rest.

When you get to a turn that is going to be too tight if you haven’t mastered drifting always hold down LT and use X at the same time.

Starting Off Career

It is recommended that you start your racing career on rookie, this will give you a basic feel for the game and achievements don’t stack anyways so starting on a harder difficultly is only hurting yourself. So when you do start up choose Gran Prix, and always pick the bike with the highest top speed and RPM’s.

Qualifying on Legend/ Champion:

This is not a necessity but it’s safe to imagine the AI in this game as being a bunch of sword wielding ninjas who will stop at nothing to shove your ass off your bike. This game wouldn’t be hard at all if collisions in tournaments could be turned off. So to save you a lot of time, and heartache on the tougher difficulties its best to spend the 3 minutes to qualify and get ahead of the mean AI.

Mop Up:

The very last achievements you should get are the 500 races which will take a good 15-20+ hours to obtain, and there you have it another really proud 1000http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png to add to your collection.

Seed #1 achieved.

This is obtained after getting your rank from 100 all the way to 1. To make life easier use a second controller, and go to Multiplayer -> Split Screen -> Sign in guest, and load up Barcelona on 1200CC and for each time you win. You will receive .11 rank. This is only advised when you are rank 2 or 3, because getting your seed to 1 from Legend Races could take a really long time. It will take you roughly 10-15 races to obtain from Seed#2 with this method.

Race through the various careers to level up, and win races to get your ranking up. Finishing higher gives you more points, whereas finishing low down will take points away.

Warning after certain levels you will no longer go up ranks unless played on a harder difficulty.

Lvl 1-20 Legend

Lvl 21-50 Champion

Lvl 51-75 Pro

Lvl 76-100 Rookie

Win a Career mode Grand Prix season on Legend difficulty.

This is probably the hardest achievement in the game, because their are 20 AI instead of 16 and slightly more races than the extreme modes. Just make sure you qualify in the top 5. With a little practice this can be done, also restarting the race if your not going to place well is highly advised.

Win a Career mode Grand Prix season on Champion difficulty.

Same as GP-Legend only slightly easier but some people would still advise qualifying to make it easier.

Win a Career mode Grand Prix season on Pro difficulty.

Progress through the GP season winning as many races as possible. Put it on 1 lap races to make it quicker.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/79/mgp-01.jpgChallenge Master60 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

All Challenges completed.

Complete all of the challenges that are available to do at the start of every Career Mode. This will finally unlock after beating all of them. Some tips on the follow the leader, if you are having a hard time beating the AI. After the first turn run into him to knock him off the bike, and if done right you will get a good 5 second head start on him.

50 Challenges completed.

Complete at least 50 of the challenges that are available to do at the start of every Career mode. No worries if you don't do them or miss some there are always available at the main menu to go to at anytime. Use my tuning set-up for the best result.

Just some info you may not have but probably will find useful, the bikes cost around 360,000 to buy the lot rounded up to the nearest 10k. Also depending how well you do you can earn upto about 400-410k if you do all 3 classes on all 4 difficulties.

Only just reached champion myself but assuming the +500 per win pattern continues into legend that figure is right. So you even have some spare for upgrades.
