Spend 5 minutes drafting cars.

Drafting is performed by driving near the vehicle in front of you. If done properly in the bottom right it will say “Drafting”. This is cumulative, and is very easy and quick if you have a friend to help out with a second controller. I did this myself with two controllers…lol which was very awkward.

Sorry, but there is something wrong here!! I've been drafting all the time behind cars neither on 1 player or 2 .. the meeter wont change.. or it change very very slowly

I think the right way to get this achievement.. you must drift in the blue lines on the ground on turns.. I did it now and it boosted the meeter from 1.6 to 2 mins so fast !

Thanks for the guide and thank you Shoe for the spy pick ups guide. Another completion :Bounce::woop:

Also for those doing the Drafting. I used 2 controllers (myself) and used 2 different McQueens (wanted to make sure they had same stats, any character there is a multiple of would work just as well). I put player 2 up against the wall in front of player 1 then lined up player 1 behind, both turned slightly into the wall. I would hold down both RT's and look for it to say Drafting in bottom corner of Player 1's screen. Draft as long as possible and reset them back up or restart the race. Hope this helps.

A sure way to get the final weapon (the purple metal thing that has the ball on top of your car):

Free Play

Battle Race

Pipeline Sprint

Start the race and when you get to the "?" symbol to receive a random weapon, park there over one of the "?" and keep firing the weapon you get until you get that one...

Then wait for the other cars to show up again, go after them and try to fire it in a straight...

I fired it line up with a car in front of me and one at a side...

Hope this helps

Having a heck of a time with the Hunter challenges. Its hard enough to earn silver, let alone gold. Specifically London. The cars seem so far apart and the ditch/bridges are always in the way.

Are there any other tips?

EDIT: I switched cars and that seemed to do the trick. Used the blue/red rally car.

Very important! The second controller shares the profile, therefore anything done with 2nd controller helps with achievements. I blew up my second controller and when it went flying into the air, I got the achievement for being in the air for 20 mins. Also if you put both controllers going in circles driving backwards, it will count double. Between doing it normally it should only take 5 mins.

I got the Trick Master (5 tricks) when an enemy blew me up and i flew in the air spinning. I didn't really have to press anything. So some people may get this by luck! Also, holding down the right analogue will keep you spinning in circles.

For the turbo based achievements, you might as well include the code to remind people it's unlimited if they want! :) If it's always one, it will be easier.

As for the Roadmap, if you put Step 1: Playthrough, Step 2: 2nd controller, Step 3: Mop Up or something that might be helpful for some before they jump right into the game.

A good tip to make this game shorter is for every event that's not a race or survival, get the minimum requirements for bronze then let time run out. To make use of this extra time, drive backwards. I liked jumping and flicking the right stick so that i landed backwards. Gave me air time, a trick, and backwards time.

One thing I'd love to add, is actually the last survivor mission was by far the easiest.

Clearance 5: Home Security.

You do not have to collect batteries! Just race through using your turbo and every time you hit a checkpoint it auto fills a quarter or so of your shield. Extremely easy, especially considering the "first survivor mission" won't go well for most people who are just beginning the game.

And for the Arena kills, all you have to do is turbo into your second controller. He will die in one hit and you can circle around and hit him again (all in one turbo). This gives you very fast kills. I did it at the airport arena.

--Other Suggestions--

-What are the Tokyo levels? Maybe list them?

-Mention you can drive backwards but if you turn at an angle you will respawn (you mention driving backwards getting certain misc. achievments

-Those hedges in the courtyard level...they are in the middle. So when describing, mention there are 4 statues on each side and in the very middle of the courtyard they will see big bushes designed to look like a car. Hop into them but try to land on the middle piece. That way when you back up you will respawn and see them in front of you again.

-Explain the point system for Hunter missions, people are having problems.

-For side smashing cars, load up a race with a second controller. Now just hold down the analogue stick and it will keep bashing him. You can get around 1 smash every other second (or quicker). I believe I was playing the Italy level, which there are walls at the start.

-For driving backwards, load up an arena event and you can drive backwards in circles without interuption.

-For "Single Survivor Mission" achievement, just tell people to look at the achievement for getting gold on all of them. No need to explain it again!

-The Casino Tour Survivor mission takes you to this island when it leads you on a path with the batteries. Most people should get this on their first lap on this level without realizing it.

-For 100 breakable objects, the AIRPORT ARENA works extremely well. Every cone counts, so just follow the trail of cones until you get it. No need to waste precious time in your Chrome missions! Do this one in the Arena while going for your kills.

-Did you mention you can track achievements in the badges/crests from the main menu under awards??

-For the Spy Points, please mention you must click on the mission to go to Mission Brief, THEN it's on the lower right corner of the world map on the right. I kept trying to log out of my multiplayer expecting it was supposed to be there. Took me literally 5 mins to figure it out!

great guide thanks

still cant knock out 3 of the gold hunter mission though..

any tips??

thanks

blues (:

What you'll want to do is pick a car that isn't extremely fast. Use the turbo cheat of course in the main menu. Now when you play the hunter missions, aim to turb into everything you see. Picking up weapons on the way helps too. The combos are what really help, it multiples your score. For example a lemon car is worth 10 points. If you smash into 5 in a row, you will get 50 points, and times your combo which was 5 = 250. Just keep trying! You'll get luck with a combo soon enough.

I am struggling to get 40 quick starts i managed 1 but just cant seem to get anymore and im tapping RT as fast as I can this is a stupid chevo

I really don't understand how can anyone have a problem with this... specially with the tip in the guide... what I did was very simple:

when you are entering the race it will show an image of your car, then it will pass to other cars and it will comeback to your car again and then the race starts...

As soon has the image goes back to your car the second time start spamming the RT... don't wait for the image to appear behind your car or for the REV meter to show... As soon as your car appears the 2nd time start spamming the RT and you'll have more than enough time to fill up the meter

I've seen some people with problems that after reading the tip could do it easily, but if you can't, there's nothing more any of us can do to help you... if it's not your controller it's you :)

The other only recommendation is for you to buy a Turbo Controller and let it do the work for you
