Introduction

Welcome to Rabbit x360a's Road Map and Achievement Guide for Flock!

This game is currently 1,200 Microsoft Points on the Xbox Live Arcade and was released on the 8th April 09.

First thing you should take note of is that there is a level editor available, however none of the achievements can be obtained via this apart from Continuous Cartographer. This means that if you make a crop circle and complete the level in the editor, it wont count as a completed crop circle on your Aggregate Total.

This game will take you between 8 and 15 hours to achieve 200http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg depending on how quickly you grasp the game.

Continuous Cartographer:

If you're going for achievements, this one will take two minutes to obtain. Go into the level editor and simply make a few pieces of land. Then go to test level. Because you have no animals and have set no quote, you will have completed the level. Now when you're back at the editor, go into the level options and set the game type to Twin Beams or Split Beams. Turn on your second controller and test the level again. Once complete you will get this achievement. Now, if you have a friend with you, it's onto the Multiplayer Campaign, if not, it's the Singleplayer Campaign.

Singleplayer Campaign:

There are a total of 55 levels in the Singleplayer campaign. You want to begin playing through them and on the levels make sure NOTHING dies, gets eaten or worse. You need to complete all levels with perfect abductions (on both singleplayer and multiplayer) for the Master Flocker achievement. This means you must abduct every animal into the Mother Flocker Ship.

If you do this, during level 3 you will unlock the Unidentified Flocking Object achievement by abducting 20 animals.

When you reach level 8, you will be able to get the Good Shepherd achievement which simply requires you to herd more than 25 animals at one time. Seems easy so far doesn't it? Three achievements in around 15 minutes.Level 15 is your first night time level with the Nighttime Crawler in, which will attempt to kill your animals. If you complete the level with a perfect abduction, you will get the Defender of the Flock achievement.

Level 16 has quite a humorous set up. Play this level through twice. First get a perfect abduction then come back to it. What you now want to do is use the bolder to move the fence out the way of the chickens, but don't let anything die yet. When you've dropped the fence in the water, do the same to the boulder. Now line the chickens up at the bottom and front of the big hill and drop the boulder down the hill towards them. If it kills them all in one go, you will unlock Bowled Over.

Level 32 has your first Love Patch, now for the Love Bunny achievement, you need to make 3 female and male sheep mate together within three minutes. It's simply to do, get them all together in the middle at the same time.

Multiplayer Campaign

If you've now completed all levels with perfect abductions on the Singleplayer, or just got too frustrated in trying, then it's time to go through 17 Multiplayer Levels. Unfortunately this game doesn't have online co-op, so you're going to need an actual friend for this one as it will be quite difficult to do on your own. Again the main aim for this is to complete all missions with perfect abductions. After the final level is complete you will get Master Flocker. Now it's time to start mopping up the achievements. Tell your friend to go away for a while, but don't insult him as you will need his help again soon.

Mop Up, Aggregate Total Achievements

These achievements require you to do certain things over the course of the campaign. These are Lumberjack The Ripper, Don't Fence Me In, King of the Skies, Make Your Mark and Fertiliser.

So while playing through the campaign, you should Rip up all trees you see, knock over fences with cows, make chickens fly and land, make piles of poo by using the depresser beam on cows and complete all crop circles. I said you'd need a friend again because there are 5 on Multiplayer and 5 on Singleplayer. Make sure at the end of each level you complete the quota for the level or your counts for these achievements will not count.

Conclusion

This game is by no means an easy 200. However 110 is easy, and 150 a little tougher. You should get most achievements along the way, but if you keep track of which crop circles you have finished you shouldn't have any troubles by having to do them all again.

This game should give you an enjoyable time playing but be what most arcade games are, frustrating. Master Flocker will be a tough challenge and if you can do it then kudos to you.

Rip Up 50 Trees (Aggregate Total)

After level 13 you will receive the tractor beam for your ship. Simply hover over a tree, hold http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/misc/rt.png and pull away to rip it up. Do this to 50 trees over the full game, very easy.

Play Through One User-Created Singleplayer Level and One User-Created Multiplayer Level

Easiest way to get this is to create two levels after finishing the game. Make a single player level of one sheep and the Flocker on some ground. Test it and complete it. Then do the same but go to Level Settings > Select Game Mode > Split Beams.

Connect a second controller, test the level, keep the second out the way while you complete it and when you have you'll have unlocked the achievement. No need to save the level and play it properly.

Use 3 Love Patches in 3 Minutes

Level 32 has Love Patches. Gather your whole flock together and herd them to the love patches and because there are three pink sheep, you should reproduce three times. If not, move them out and back in again.

Get a Perfect Abduction on All Levels, Singleplayer and Multiplayer.

Can be tricky, you need to get a perfect abduction on every level. To get a perfect abduction, you must abduct every sheep. You can take your time as you do not need to get them with a gold score.

Hints:

  • Use the antenna if you can't find a sheep, it always point to the nearest one.
  • Rip up any obstacles in your way when heading to the sheep, this will speed up the process.
  • Don't rush, you can press the http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/misc/y.png button after completing the quota but you will not have a perfect abduction, so wait until you get that star before hitting http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/misc/y.png
  • You must also do this on Multiplayer, which is local co-op, can be done with an idle second controller, however it's recommended to get a real partner as some are tough.

Flock 25 Animals at Once

Easiest to do on level 8 or 32 of the Singleplayer campaign. You simply need to have 25 animals running away from your tractor beam at one time.

Knock Over 50 Fences With a Cow (Aggregate Total)

At level 9 you will have to herd cows for the first time. Simply make them run into fences. After 50 total fences during the campaign you will get the achievement.

Fly and Land 75 Chickens (Aggregate Total)

Making chickens jump off ledges will make them fly. Jump a chicken from the area it's on to another island and make sure it survives. Do this with 75 chickens over the course of the game.

Complete 10 Crop Circles (Aggregate Total)

After completing level 25 you will unlock the Depressor Beam, which squashes things. Level 26 gives you a stone to drop in a hole. Do so, activate it with your Depressor beam and trace the patterns in the grass with your Beam. Repeat for the other hole. Make sure your very precise, don't over do it and only squash when the grass is highlighted thanks to the stone. You must then complete the quota in the level for them both to count. There are a total of 10 in the game, 5 in Singleplayer and 5 in Multiplayer.

Complete a Level Featuring the Nighttime Predator Without Letting It Eat Any Animals

Level 15 will give you your first experience with the Nighttime Predator. It hides in trees and heads towards your animals to eat them. Simply move over it to scare it away with the light of your beam. Complete the level getting a perfect with no animals being eaten to unlock this.

Kill 10 Chickens With One Throw of a Boulder - Strike!

Level 16 has 10 chickens at the bottom of a hill. Line them up so they're in a bunched group. Get the boulder and clear the fence with it.

I had some trouble with this at first, the trick is to make sure they're in the centre of the "lane" below and not spread out at all. Roll the boulder down the hill, and if they all get squashed, you should get "Strike +500" appear, and if you do you'll also get 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg!

Abduct 20 Animals (Aggregate Total)

This will be your first achievement. If you play through the story and get a perfect on each level you will have it by the end of level 3.

Make 50 Piles of Poo (Aggregate Total)

This is tricky. After completing the game, go to Level 53 and complete the quota (five cows) using the nearby baby cows. Afterwards, using the female cow, go around the whole of the level making the other cows follow her. Get them all in a line and you will notice that when you hover near a following cow, it wont move as all it does is what the female does. Because of this you can use your depresser beam on them to make them poo. Get the 3 cows at the back of the line under your beam at once and use slight pressure on the trigger to make them poo a little, too much pressure on them will kill them. Keep doing this until they have made a large pile of poo that isn't growing any further. Do this to all following cows in the line, then move the female forwards to get them onto poo-free ground. Keep repeating and the achievement should pop up after 10 - 15 minutes.

And now for the Video Achievement Guide!

Currently I only have the Dazzle to record with, and not the splitters so I can see it on the television. Because of this I have a delay while playing and have to squint to read text, so I will only have this one video guide for the time being, but when I get the last components in the post, it will be a lot easier for me to video capture and therefore create guides easier. I will be doing the majority of tricky achievements.

Here's the only video I've done so far though:

Well, after 55 levels the campaign is complete and I see no other way of getting Fertiliser.

Every so often I see my cows making pooping sounds and piece of excrement flings off behind them. I don't know if that helps...

EDIT: Oh, and can you get those achievements for Love Bunny etc. in the map maker; you know, just make a map with all the required assets?

How did you get Bowled Over?

I just cant seem to get this at all.

I've hit 6 different piles of 10 by bowling the ball and letting it hit them without picking it back up.

Just let fall the stone on a group of 10 hens.

EDIT : About "MYM" do you guys think we must complete 10 different signs ?

You can get Master Flocker without gold, I'm not sure what the bonuses are, but it's possible that you can get new items for the stage editor.

that would make sense because, when i went back and got gold on a level that i already finished with a perfect abduction and silver, i got another item for the level editor (in addition to the item i got through the first play-through of the level).

There aren't a total of 10 in the Campaign, so I'm unsure.

Perhaps we must create a map using the editor ?

EDIT : finished the game (55 levels) ; I'm number 1 for the moment <-- must be my first time (^_^)

For Bowled Over, one thing I found was, once you have all the chickens lined up, let the boulder drop down the ramp, then immediately grab it once it has knocked down the first fence at the bottom of the ramp.

Put the boulder back up in the circle, then move the fence out of the damn way (the fence kept knocking chickens around as the boulder rolled over them. Then let the boulder go down the ramp again without the fence. Did this and got it on my first try (after numerous failures due to the fence).

Yeah exactly the same way I did it, I added the technique to my guide about 2 hours ago too when I got it.

Pain in the arse fence =|
