For some time now i feel like i haven't been living my life like i should. Reasoning being is because i don't party or club.I work weekdays but my weeknds consist of video games. I don't smoke weed but occasionally i drink. Maybe i have the constitution of fun down right. Maybe been addicted to video games don't help either. All of your opinions and suggestions will be very helpful.

Down right?

Maybe your singularity is boring to others; do you think what constitutes being is universal? It's as honest a question.

Just remember that life isn't a movie and most people have relatively unexciting lives, it all depends on if you are happy with your life. You don't need to do things you think you should be doing, but you should be trying new things and meeting new people every time you get the chance to.

If you think having an addiction to video games is bad for you, spoiler alert: it is, then try doing something else instead of playing them. I would suggest working out, but that's because that's what I like to do. You just gotta find stuff to do that makes you feel fulfilled. Video games don't really have any real rewards in life aside from making those weird parts of your brain feel good for a short time.

That's just like my opinion man.

"Am i living or exstencing?"

Hmm, how does one....exstence?

Seriously though man, you may just want to:

A. Find a better job that you enjoy

B. Find another (or more) hobbies

C. Meet new people/socialize

A tidbit on C. I'm like you, I don't smoke and I'm not much of a partier. But just because you don't do what the majority of people do nowadays, doesn't mean you shouldn't go out and meet new people. Life's all about having connections and relationships. Mainly connections if we're talking about getting ahead in the workplace or something though.

Life's all about having connections and relationships.

Nope, life's about being happy. For most that requires connections & relationships but not for absolutely everyone.

Clubs. urg. Rubbish places. Regular clubbing is not something i would use as a measure of a balanced & fulfilling life.

I work weekdays but my weeknds consist of video games.

Nothing wrong with that as long as you enjoy it. It would be sensible to balance the gaming with other activities you enjoy though.

Eg. My evenings and weekends are very often filled with computer gaming. But i also read a lot of novels, do photography, play squash, waterski, kayak, meet up with my friends & play poker, etc.

At times (winter especially) gaming takes up most of my free time but doing the same thing all the time just burns you out.

I don't smoke weed but occasionally i drink.

Recreational drugs (including alcohol) are bad. Not using them is a good thing.

Maybe i have the constitution of fun down right.

Non of us should force others to conform to our views proper behaviour. (unless they're doing something that impacts badly on others anyway)

"Fun" stuff is whatever you find fun. There is no universal right & wrong answer.

Maybe been addicted to video games don't help either. All of your opinions and suggestions will be very helpful.

Can you stop playing if you want? Try. If yes you're not addicted.

Suggestions would be more accurate if you gave some more info;

Do you live in a city? or a more rural area?

Are there other things you've enjoyed doing in the past? new things you would like to try?

do you have friends you have regular (or not) contact with? What do they do in their free time?

If you do feel the need to meet new people find things other than gaming you enjoy doing (like a sport maybe) and actively start doing them. Clubs/ pubs are not the only way to meet new people (& they're actually a bad way at that).

If you haven't been happy with the way you live your life, simple fix. Change how you live your life.

Sure...and if you don't have good relationships with family and friends, you're not going to be happy. And if you don't have connections within the work place, you'll never get ahead and therefore you'll be stuck in a position that dissatisfies and you won't be happy.

Happiness comes from a result of good relationships and connections.

You're assuming values that not everyone will hold to. Which is why it's better to just leave it at be happy.

A personal example. By getting ahead in the workplace I assume you mean promotions? I have a job that doesn't require overtime, gives me little to no stress, & pays enough for me to be fairly comfortable. I have no wish to "advance" within the company as the balance I currently have is perfect for me.

I get on well with the people I work with (just being polite & competent will do that) but I don't really socialise with them outside work as we have very little in common.
