I have the solution, Rub liquid rubber all over yourself....mmmmm...yeah. http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20060929205025/familyguy/images/d/d1/Herbert.JPG Anyway, you're sure it's not the rumble feature? It just sounds weird that a USB 3.0 cable has enough juice to zap you on occasion.

Joseph0714
Take the zap like a man. It'll intimidate the controller if you don't react when it zaps you. Jk. Take it back to the store and you'll hopefully get a new one that is not as bully as this one.

Nitnoid
In order to get zapped, you would have to be touching something conductive. Therefore, perhaps some more information as to what part of your hands are getting zapped would be helpful in troubleshooting your problem. Normally, direct current (batteries and charger outputs) do not shock unless you touch your tongue or something sensitive in the general area of voltage. Alternating current on the other hand, DOES shock quite well. To rule out static electricity, place a rubber mat underneath your seat. Oh, you're not playing in a puddle of water, are you? CarlitoX
Never been zapped by mine but it does turn off during games a lot! And it's not a battery issue because thanks to the new battery indicator it's showing it's full.
Grizzled Gamer
The NSA has been watching you through the Kinect and is zapping you to keep you in line. They suspect your loyalties are in question, and if necessary, a trip to Gitmo may be in your future... ...... Or you know, static electricity. Turn up the humidity in your house.
