AdamArmy
I buy standard, unless it is from one of my absolute favorite franchieses
BG AzN
I try to buy limited/collectors editions when I can. I usually wait for the price to drop a bit first if it's a bit pricey. Overall it's collectors all the way, unless there's a price out there for the standard than I can't turn down. Then I might buy the collectors down the road later on. VladimirK
Always the LE/CE/SE for me. Sometimes it isn't worth it, but I prefer them overall.
PROPH3TofPEAC3
Depends on price and actually waht comes with it. Halo 3 i said no to just because i have kids and i know that helmet would get broke. Same with MW2 i went with hardened because i know the goggles would get broke lol. I just bought the Mass Effect 2 LE, so it all depends.
balance13
If I like the game enough then I will. Plan on getting the Halo Reach one.
SharksInYourMouth
If it's something I really like then I try get the Limited Edition, but where I live it's always hard to get Limited Editions unless I get them off the internet, (Which I haven't been doing lately) so I can usually only get the Standard Edition. Jachyrax
standard only. LE CE or whatever is all just a waste of money imo
v_thorne
Usually LE/SE/CE for me as well. I don't have too many right now, but I prefer them.
DarthSoth
Standard. Unless there is something offered for in-game extras or something like that. If I'm going to pay more, then I want more game not more junk. All the other crap is pretty insignificant to me. Making of videos of concept art etc. are looked at (sometimes) when I open the game and then never thought of again. If that is all that the special edition is offering then I would rather invest the extra cash in MS points and then buy more content for the game with it. I buy games to play not to look at the fancy packaging.
veece16
Most of the times LE/SE like CoD or Mass Effect. If it's like Battlefield BC 2 where the special edition is the same price as the regular I'll go head and get the special without hesitation. Starstrukk X360A
Standard unless the incentives for the Limited Edition are worth it.
Poida
I usually buy the standard or as the OP said if it was my favourite franchise, I might consider the special edition. I only really get the limited editions if they have DLC or something like that with it.
njdevils17
Normally just standard. If the Limited Edition comes with some nice DLC or in game stuff then I might spring for it. I think the only limited edition game I have for Xbox 360 is Splinter Cell Double Agent because they were the only ones left at Best Buy. They were only $40 though and this the day after Christmas 2006 so it was still a pretty new game.
master_shake_350
If I can get my hands on it then LE/CE's. Usually I only get normal though!
RuYi
I get special editions for games I'm really looking forward to. Games that sparked my interest, but nothing too much, I'll get the standard version.
Jester Stephan
Most of the time I just buy the standard versions, unless there are some good added extras with the special editions.
BadBoyKillah89
Standard always, the game is all I need. Don't need all the extra crap.
Tussell
It depends. I always did the best edition for the first three Halo games. I don't really do it, unless it's a big release that I'm excited for. However, I didn't do it for either of the Gears of War games.
Jdm
All day LE/CE.
OverIoad
Depends on the extras offered, and the price. Last CE i bought was oblivion, have only looked at the extras once. But the price difference at that time was only a few euro. When i picked up two copies of FFXIII the standard was € 44,- and the Limited was € 63,-. Now i'm not gonna pay € 19,- extra for some a nice box, artwork, a few postcards and a sticker.
bapae
If i find a used copy for the same price as the standard ill buy it used or if i ave the money to buy a limited edition new ill buy it too.
Giptuc
I buy standard, unless it is from one of my absolute favorite franchieses This. Personally i dont much care for preorder stuff, unless its like $5 or $10 more or really cool. The only thing i have really just had to hav was the prestige edition for the goggles, other then that, only for games i really like. I only have halo 2/3, ME2, MW2, FFXIII. I also have bc2, but the limited edition was standard for the first batch shipped, so it doesnt really count.
Rollinstone12
I buy standard most of the time unless the limited cotains something I think is worth the extra $10-$30. I bought Halo 3 Legendary Edition just because it was on sale for $40 not too long ago. I got Halo Wars Collectors Edition by mistake, cause Best Buy I preordered from only got LE in so thats what I got, for the price of standard. Tastes Like Chloroform
Most of my games are LE only because I buy games the first day they come out heh ^_^'
