demi
Crimson Dragon Achievement Guide / Roadmap Credit to Elysiun for some of the roadmap information Overview: - Estimated difficulty: 6/10 - Offline: 33/33 - 1000:gsicon: - Online: 0/33 - 0:gsicon: - Minimum time to 1000: 20-25 Hrs - Minimum playthroughs needed: 1 - Level Select - Difficulty affects achievements: Yes - Micro-Transaction / IAPs: Yes - Missable achievements: No - Glitchy achievements: Yes - In a good way - Unobtainable achievements: No - Extra equipment needed: Kinect UPDATE (6/23/14): Microsoft has since added a free batch of achievements, worth 350G. Please see this post below in the thread for more information. Introduction: Welcome to Crimson Dragon, a digital exclusive for the Xbox One that is developed by Grounding Inc. and published by Microsoft Studios. Crimson Dragon is a third person rail shooter and was worked on by several members of the development team responsible for Sega's Panzer Dragoon series, and is considered a spiritual successor to that series. The game does have some light RPG elements that allow you to level up your dragons and allow you to teach them new attacks and change their main attacking element. The game is fairly short, clocking in at around 6-8 hours, and most of the achievements will likely be unlocked during the course of your initial playthough. The last few achievements will require you to replay levels multiple times in order to unlock medals for each level and have pilot obtain a level of 40. About IAPs / MicroTransactions: This game uses a micro-transaction system involving Jewels. Jewels are used to buy item packs, which can also be purchased with in-game gold. However, there is a particular item pack that can ONLY be bought with Jewels. Jewels can be earned when you earn a medal in a stage (max. 6 per stage). You can also earn Jewels with the daily login bonus. These are NOT required at all to get all achievements. Playthrough: You will get majority of your achievements through a single playthrough, with only a few stragglers leftover when done. In this game, you can hire a "wingman" (an AI partner) to ride with you, through your friends who also have this game, or random players dragons online. Use these recruits to make the game go much smoother - they will almost do all the work for you, until your dragon's strength is up to par as well. Play on "Classic" difficulty, as there are achievements related to them, plus you get some bonus XP at the end of each run. The game (in my opinion) is not very difficult, especially with a high powered wingman on your side. A free title update included a multiplayer component as well, along with some free achievements. Most of these achievements can be boosted easily, but it should be easy enough to hop on and find some matches. Clean Up: Go back through each of the missions and replay them to unlock each of the medals, multiple medals can be unlocked during a single run and can range from needed to acquire a certain item during the run, maintain a certain kill percentage, or even getting through the level without taking damage, please keep in mind that medals can only be unlocked on Classic difficulty. During this time, you should also unlock any remaining achievements you may have missed for killing a certain number of enemies or for firing 3000 tracking missiles. If you obtain all the medals before reaching level 40, continue replaying levels or play online to gain experience until you unlock your final achievement. demi
Single Player Piece of Cake 10:gsicon: Score "C" rank or higher on a mission on any difficulty mode Refer to 'Skilled Seeker' Skilled Seeker 10:gsicon: Score "A" rank during any mission in Classic mode Ranks are tallied based on the average of all the individual goals in a level. Dying, difficulty, or score are not factors on what rank you earn. This will come without even trying. Close Call! 15:gsicon: Use a Regenerator to revive your dragon during a mission Regenerators can be purchased through the shop using credits or jewels in item packs. To use a Regenerator, lose all your health in a level and you will be given the option to use one. Using one will not affect your rank or score at all. Do a Barrel Roll! 15:gsicon: Perform a barrel roll by leaning left or right You will earn this in the very first tutorial level. To do a barrel roll, tap the Left or Right bumper. You can also use the Kinect by leaning to the left or right. Antibody Archivist 15:gsicon: Collect 18 different Antibodies from creatures on Draco Antibodies are required to access some levels, and are labeled with a pill icon. Look to see which antibody is required to access a level, then select a level with the required enemy and shoot them down. They aren't particularly rare drops, but if you should not happen to get one, replay the level and try again. You can see which Antibodies you have by going to Inventory > Antibodies from the main screen. There are 22 total Antibodies to find in the game. Magic Missles 35:gsicon: Fire 3000 tracking missiles Tracking missiles are a type of skill a dragon can use, colored with Red, usually involving locking on to enemies first. The starting fire dragon uses this kind of "lock-on" ability for its main, so use this attack for most of the game until you earn this achievement, or switch to a different dragon and work from there. Primary Plus 40:gsicon: Kill 200 enemies using your dragon's main skill Refer to 'Focused Willpower' Focused Willpower 40:gsicon: Kill 200 enemies using your dragon's secondary skill Each dragon has two skills, a primary one that cannot be changed, and a secondary, which can. You must kill 200 enemies using each of your dragon's skills. You can swap between skills by pressing the Left Trigger. Easy Pickings 25:gsicon: Killed 50 enemy creatures Refer to 'Crimson Skies' Vermin Exterminator 30:gsicon: Kill 500 enemy creatures Refer to 'Crimson Skies' Crimson Skies 45:gsicon: Kill 2000 enemy creatures This will come gradually as you play through the game, just shoot all the things. Shoot them. Data Harvester 35:gsicon: Collect 500 Beacons During some levels, you will be tasked to collect yellow beacons in a line. This will come naturally, as there are plenty of beacons to collect, with some levels consisting of nothing but beacons. Death from Above 25:gsicon: Defeat 3 enemy bosses There aren't many enemy bosses in this game, but they are clearly assigned and labeled as one - usually requiring antibodies from prior levels to access. You will get this naturally in your playthrough. First Time Buyer 15:gsicon: Purchase 1 item Pack using credits or Jewels There are three different item packs in the shop, two of which can be purchased with credits and jewels, with a third being only payable in jewels. Money comes like water in this game, so go ahead and buy an item pack after a few levels in. Treasure Hunter 20:gsicon: Loot 1 rare item and 25 common items Items drop from enemies, as well as buying them in the shop. Rarity is based on the number of star symbols that are on the icon. This will come naturally without paying attention. Act of Courage 10:gsicon: Start your first mission with Icarus Division Refer to 'Draco Delta-731' Act of Honor 20:gsicon: Complete all missions for Coral Lake East, Coral Lake West, and Underground Lake on any difficulty Refer to 'Draco Delta-731' Act of Valor 50:gsicon: Complete all missions for Forest, Ancient Ruins, and Lava Lake on any difficulty Refer to 'Draco Delta-731' Act of Truth 50:gsicon: Complete all story missions on Casual or Classic difficulty Refer to 'Draco Delta-731' Draco Delta-731 100:gsicon: Complete all story missions on Classic difficulty This is earned when all levels are completed on Classic difficulty. You should be playing on Classic from the start, but if you haven't, this achievement is glitched in your favor. When all missions have been completed on Casual, playing a level on Classic should give you this achievement. Roger That! 20:gsicon: Activate your wingman dragon communicator and issue a voice command This achievement requires the use of Kinect. Before a mission, assign a wingman and while flying, raise your hand to your head (like a cool communicator) - or just pick your nose, anything to make Kinect acknowledge you and make a microphone appear on the screen. Say the words "Advance Forward" if the wingman is behind you, or "Fall Back" if the wingman is in front. You can manually move the wingman with the up and down on the d-pad as well, but the achievement requires an acknowledged voice command. The Navigator 15:gsicon: Use voice commands to navigate to the Shop, inventory, and Dragon Roost This achievement requires the use of Kinect. While at the main hub, raise your hand like you were mimicing a cool communicator to have a microphone appear on screen. Speak the words "Shop" - "Inventory" - "Dragon Roost" to automatically move to these respective screens. Not Bad Rookie 10:gsicon: Earn a mission medal playing on any difficulty Refer to 'Overachiever' Overachiever 100:gsicon: Acquire all medals for every story mission in the game Medals can only be earned while playing on "Classic" difficulty. In each level, you are given three tasks to perform to earn a medal. These can vary from no damage, earning a rank, or finishing the level without a wingman. Many of these are very easy, but there are a few tricky ones thrown in. You can earn these medals independently per run, so do not feel stressed to earn all three at once. Take your time and get what you can out of the way. For no damage medals, a good secondary skill to use is "Deflector Remedy" or similar - it should be colored Green - this absorbs many kinds of bullets and can be a lifesaver. Using the wingman skill (X) is also a way to avoid possible damage, just be careful of the brief moment after the attack. For earn X% kills medals, hiring a max level wingman, particularly the dragon with the ability "Lightning Vision Radiance" as it can clear the screen majority of the time, while you work on the stragglers. For earn X item medals, these may require you to run the level a few times before you get a "Rare Enemy Sighted" - who more often than not carries the item you seek. Equipped for Battle 10:gsicon: Use 1 Ampoule during a mission Refer to 'Ampoule Addict' Ampoule Addict 25:gsicon: Use 10 Ampoules Ampoules are stat boosters that are single use per mission. You will get plenty of these from drops while playing through a level, you can also buy them from the shop. Equip an ampoule before starting, and play through 10 missions. Still Awakening 15:gsicon: Unlock a new skill by feeding your dragon Skills can be earned by leveling your dragon up to the max, or feeding it an item. You can earn these items from enemy drops, or buy them from the shop using credits or jewels. Do not be concerned on the element type, each dragon can equip any skill. Survival of the Fittest 20:gsicon: Evolve your first dragon Dragons evolve when you meet the requirements consisting of reaching max level (10), and having the correct evolution items, which are normally found on "Rare Enemy" drops - though boss enemies can give a 100% chance of an Evolution Item drop. Buying a Golden Dragon Pack guarantees an evolution item as well, though it is random which one. Dragon Master 35:gsicon: Purchase 3 dragons from the shop Dragons can be purchased from the shop using credits or jewels, however they are locked until you reach the correct Player Level (not to be confused with Dragon Level). You will get this as you make your way to Level 40 for 'Seeker General'. Seeker Lieutenant 20:gsicon: Achieve player level 5 Refer to 'Seeker General' Seeker Captain 20:gsicon: Achieve player level 10 Refer to 'Seeker General' Seeker Colonel 25:gsicon: Achieve player level 20 Refer to 'Seeker General' Seeker General 50:gsicon: Achieve player level 40 Player Level is gained alongside Dragon Level, but Player Level doesn't seem to do much aside from locking out Dragons to buy. You probably still won't reach this even after you earn all other achievements, so you may have to grind the last few out. Good quick choices are 'Thinning The Herd' or 'The Lichfield' in Lava Lake, as you will average about 12,000 with the Classic Bonus. Be warned that running 'The Lichfield' will result in your Xbox recording lots of clips, which is pretty annoying. demi
DLC: Multiplayer Title Update Overview: - Estimated difficulty: 1/10 - Offline: 0/6 - 0:gsicon: - Online: 6/6 - 150:gsicon: - Minimum time to 150: 1 Hour - Difficulty affects achievements: No - Micro-Transaction / IAPs: No - Missable achievements: No - Glitchy achievements: Yes - In a good way - Unobtainable achievements: No - Extra equipment needed: None Go-along! 25:gsicon: Multiplayer: Cleared mission 25 times. Play through a mission 25 times, this can be the same one, or different ones. Picking a quick level can make this go faster. Seekers Unite 10:gsicon: Multiplayer: Completed 1 multiplayer mission Refer to 'Seeker Squadron' Seeker Squadron 15:gsicon: Multiplayer: Completed 5 multiplayer missions Unlike 'Go-along!', this achievement requires you to play through five different levels online. Trying to Rewrite the Past 25:gsicon: Multiplayer: Defeated the White Phantom 3 times The White Phantom is the final boss of the game. Play through this level 3 times, on Casual (or harder if you prefer), and bring strong dragons - if you have a Darkshoulder Chaos (or similar "Void/Dark" dragon) you can make short work of this boss. Strike from the Skies 50:gsicon: Multiplayer: Completed all multiplayer missions on any difficulty Like 'Draco Delta-731', this achievement is kinda glitched in your favor. If you have already finished all single player levels prior to touching multiplayer, this should unlock on the first mission you play. If it hasn't, you are required to play through all the levels in the game again. Ace Dragon Rider 25:gsicon: Multiplayer: Scored "S" rank 3 times This requires you to earn an overall rank of "S" in a stage three times, not the individual ranks. Pick an easy level you can get consistently and replay it. Edited February 3, 2014 by demi
amgfail
With more beacons added in to the levels while playing on multiplayer, it can be a little harder to get an overall S-rank, but I found one level in particular to be extremely easy to S-rank, even if you only get an A during the 1 beacon collect phase - East Lake, A Plague of Vespin. It's short, super easy and you should be able to S-rank the 3 combat phases with little to no issues, especially if you're using the Silvertail Radiance or lower level variant. Hope this helps! demi
I ran "Thinning The Herd" in Lava Lake, since its a short and to the point level.
demi
DLC: Free Achievements (Just 'cuz) Microsoft surprised us with a free batch of achievements, worth 350G. Nothing is required, they're now part of the base game when you purchase it, much like the Multiplayer Update. Of note, if you have already attained the requirements (the gray bar should be full), you only really have to play a quick level and most of these should pop up. Seeker Legend 100:gsicon: Achieved player level 50 Initially, you only had to reach level 40. If you played more just because (or maybe some multi when it came out), you may have noticed it still gained you some levels, for no purpose. Now it has a purpose. If you have already reached Level 50, this should pop after you play a quick level. Otherwise, back to the grind for you. The last three levels are good choices for good XP. Breaking The Bank 25:gsicon: Collected over 2,000,000 in credits in your account Money quickly loses its purpose in this game, so this is just a grind, if you havent reached this already. The total is cumulative, do not worry about having to reach 2 million at once. You will average about 12000 per level, but if you run the level "Rogue Intel" in Lava Lake, you can average about 20,000 per run. Crimsonscale Erradicator 75:gsicon: Killed 10000 enemy creatures Much like the previous enemy related achievements, just kill all the things. Chances are you've reached this if you grinded out the previous achievements, so it will pop when you play a level. Open Season 100:gsicon: Defeated bosses 10 times in "S" rank. Like other rank achievements, S rank is based on your letter grades throughout the level, and dying does not affect it. If you played the game prior, you should have strong dragons to use, so pick a level that you can S quickly. "The Lichfield" is a good choice, since its just the boss, and nothing else. The Finer Things 25:gsicon: Used 25 regenerators to revive your dragon during missions Regenerators can be purchased at the shop, and sometimes drop in a level. Regenerators allow you to continue playing a level, and will not affect your score at all. Simply load up a stage such as a boss level, and die a bunch of times, reviving yourself over and over. Enhanced Abilities 25:gsicon: Used 100 ampoules Ampoules are little stat boosters that run throughout a level, and exhausted after. You probably used the ATK+ ampoules a lot to give you that needed edge. If you already met the requirements from playing the base game, just use another Ampoule and it will pop. Otherwise, keep replaying levels with an Ampoule attached while you do your grind for the other achievements. Edited July 28, 2014 by demi
mcnichoj
For the new update only levels and loot aren't retroactive and by that I mean you couldn't make them pop in your first match like the others. Your level will be whatever you had it at before the patch, 40 being the max.

JuSt BLaZe
My guess is nobody bothered with the DLC achievements. The base game achievements seem doable. Fair enough and I'm pretty sure because of that one which is unlocked by merely 140 players: Overachiever 100:gsicon: Acquire all medals for every story mission in the game
demi
This game is one of the August Game With Gold choices, so I hope the roadmap / guide helps people. This is a pretty good game. I am not logged on X360A's tracker, but I have all achievements in this game. I think 5-6 is a fair number. Nobody has really chimed in about the difficulty. I am open to opinions. Also, "The Finer Things" achievement now has the correct description. This has been updated. Edited July 28, 2014 by demi

Lord Revan
I agree with the 6/10 rating. The main thing for me that's making it hard to get 100% besides "Overachiever" is the SUPER grind-y achievements like "get 10,000 kills" and "collect 2 million bucks". I mean I'm halfway there for each one but holy hell repition is setting in and I'm losing the will to keep grinding. Getting to level 40 is just incredibly tedious so I'm not sure if I'll ever get to 50. Fun game but the requirements to 100% the game are just a total chore. FullMoonBeaver
Tell me about it. I have grinded to level 31 so far, and I'm about a quarter of the way to 2,000,000 gold. So I still have a way to go. Tedious is certainly an accurate description. I still have nearly every level to replay for the medals. So I will be able to add some gold and XP along the way without focusing on that.
Vitamin Dean
So the game is out now for a while about 3,400 tracked gamers got it and only a 120 completed it, hmmm. It should definitely be higher than 6/10 simply because of the medals that require you to collect every beacon or not take any damage, which is firstly difficult but secondly very time consuming as you'll be restarting levels over and over and over to try and get them.... everything else is just grinding but it should be an 8/10. GreenRook
A easy way to get the Kinect to recognize you for the related achievements, you have to hold your hand to your left ear. I tried it on 3 different accounts on 2 different XboxOnes.
DarqStalker
to see if the Kinect is recognizing you, hold the select button (button to the left of the Guide button) It brings up a skeleton tracker on top of the mini-map. Might help some to see how the Kinect is seeing you. If it's blank or still not working, completely close the game and restart it.
