Mellow Tha Pro
so if i start over with a brand new character and don't play co-op i should be OK???
FlipSwitch
Should be. Dont miss a well, and dont use the teleport menu in Aesir on that character. So long as you get them all you'll be fine. Note, you can go through the campaign a second time to get one you missed the first time.

Keytta
I ran the entire campaign again without ever going back to Aesir or playing co-op and got the achievement. My guess is if you play co-op with the same character you are doing campaign it messes up the well count. Its been a long time since I was so excited about seeing an ach pop. I'm pretty sure I did the same. Got the achievement at 19. This is a bit off topic, but the last time I was happy about an achievement was when Mile high Club -- Think that's the name -- on Vet popped on CoD 4. FlipSwitch
I was happier when i got the ferris wheel section done on one shot, one kill i think it was, then I could never do it on my hard drive... sucked. I did that on the cyber mando, cept for when I realized I was so busy rampaging I missed the first well in IF, so I quit to go get it an messed the whole thing up. Meh. Had to start campaing again. BarbaricGoose
Oh, yeah, forgot about that part.. Errrg, that pissed me off. Sorry. That's the last off topic thing I'll post. Just had to comment..
FlipSwitch
Heh, derailment never hurt anyone. We always fix it. Anyway, wells.
HughJazz
I got all the ones in the guide and still didn't get it. Dang...
HughJazz
I wonder if what is happening is related to where you start back after dying. If you die shortly after activating a well could it put you back thereby unactivating it?
FlipSwitch
I severely doubt it, although if Im honest anyhting is a possibility at this point. If you dont get it on your first playthrough, do another one. Simple answer. You probably missed a well, no matter how much you protest you havnt because you probably honestly beleive yourself when you say it. Just go through again, it usually works. SirShavesALot
I'm currently at a count of 20 for the wells. I am going through a second time with the same character however. Will that not work for the achievement seeing as it didn't unlock the first time? Is a new character required for this one?
FlipSwitch
Nah you can do it on the same character. All a new character does is reset the well counter and allow you to keep track a little better, However, since the counter is glitchy as anyway, you may aswell stick with your current character. SirShavesALot
It finally popped. I stuck with the same character. The well count remained at 20 even after the achievement popped. It was the 3rd well on WS that did it. I just made sure that I went through the wells in order in campaign and not just selecting the mission. FlipSwitch
|Selecting the mission doesnt work, I can confirm that. It has to be campaign now, the guide is a little outdated on that score.
joshua777777
I really dont understand, please send me a private message and explain why if you know the answer. I have played through the campain and actibated loads of wells. However in my stats it says ive only activated 2 wells ?
FlipSwitch
Odd. Campaign you say. Try starting a new camapaign and then activating wells, see if it adds t your total well count. Only wells that dont get added on (usually) are wells inside the world tree and well's you have already activated in a previous campaign. I dont understand either, Im confuzzled. dracon74
well i got 18 on my first playthrough and i only needed help on the 19th one. the only one i missed was the first one on act 2 where you have to break down that door. i found it really easy to retreat there and pick off enemies one at a time as they go through the door, because on my first playthrough the missiles got me every time. so if youre after the unstoppable achievement for this level take this advice. first you have to clear the room in order to retreat and pick em off 1 at a time and wait for the missle guy to be right outside and put out a spider or something and you should be good. back to the wells... i got the achievement as soon as i went into the 19th well. listen to this guy cuz he seems to know what hes talking about. follow the guide and you should get the achievement soon. most of them are in plain sight and hard to miss, especially if youre looking for them. FlipSwitch
Even with a location guide this achievement is a bugger, just because of all the odd variables with the well counter and different game modes. Just go through on one playthrough, copy the list into word and strikethrough each well as you collect it. Thats a pretty surefire way of doing it. Zee
I just got the achievement in co-op while I was the host. It was a well I used quite a few times, but never when I was the host. I believe you have to have it tie to your game, thus why it might not unlock otherwise in co-op.
FlipSwitch
Co-op is a shady option for achievement hunting in TH, your better off playing it safe and going for them in solo mode. Doesnt take too long anyways.
Splatterer Ross
I have a theory for anybody who is saying that they aren't getting the achievement. I think that you have to visit the world tree well by yourself, after the cutscene. Just a theory, but I would check it out if you haven't gotten the achievement yet. FlipSwitch
The main world tree well does count, but the sub-wells inside it do not. However, these sub-wells will sometimes add to the "Wells Activated" counter and screw things up.
