T.B.R.M
Overview: Estimated Achievement Difficulty: 7/10 (Time Consuming) Offline: 5 (125http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif) Online: 0 (0) Estimated Time for 125http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif: 9-12 Hours using quickest path. 15-20 Hours normal. May very depending on player level and the amount of players in party. Minimum playthroughs: 1 Missable achievements: None (Possible to Change) Glitched achievements: None (Possible to Change) Cheats disable achievements: N/A Achievement Introduction / Road Map: Borderlands Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot DLC pack is comprised of five achievements that can be completed in a single player setting or cooperatively offline or online. The DLC also adds a new bank feature along with two additional skill points unlocked through quests. All the achievements are straight forward and will unlock during the course of the DLC through quests on the bounty board. Quickest Path for 125http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif 1. Sign into a temporary account (this account doesn't have to be Xbox Live) as first player. 2. Sign into your main account as second player. 3. Go to splitscreen mode. 4. Start a brand new game (it shouldn't automatically let you choose your higher level character for second player just yet, that is okay). 5. Start a new game and choose a character off the bus for first and second player. 6. Once off the bus and able to move following the claptrap intro exit out of the game. 7. Go back to splitscreen mode. 8. Now you should be able to choose your higher level character on your second controller (which is your main account) 9. Continue the game until your able to access the Underdome DLC. The enemies should now be geared for your level 1 character making it easy to quickly fly through all the achievements! Also, note that you do not get experience from the Underdome so the level 1 account cannot boost thanks to xXDatk!ddCasperXx for the splitscreen work around Also! When completing Small Tournament it is possible to join a friend's game who has completed 2 of the 3 arenas, complete the last arena with your friend, and upon turning in the quest at the bounty board you will receive credit for the other two arenas and unlock the achievement. It could be possible to join a friend's game who has beaten all three and turn the quest in at the bounty board to unlock the achievement, but this is waiting to be verified. thanks to xCHICKEN DIXx and Wulf for the Small Tournament tip Warning: All rounds must be completed before exiting the Underdome! If not, the rounds will be reset back to one and you will be asked to complete them again. You cannot gain experience in the Underdome; however, it is possible to complete challenges. Also, if you die during a round you get pushed back to the previous round and at the first wave. Thus, if you die during round 8 of wave 3 then you will restart from the beginning of round 7. Hints/Tricks: The Underdome is split into 3 arenas: Hell-Burbia, The Angelic Ruins, and The Gully. In order to complete rounds easier I would highly recommend playing cooperatively simply because attempting to complete an entire set of rounds in single player is very difficult. You take the risk of dying on every wave, and one death will result in starting over the entire set of rounds from one! One round consist of five separate waves(called rounds): Starter, Gun, Horde, Bad Ass, and Boss. After completing each wave there will be a health and ammo drop. Once completing a round there is a weapon drop beneath the penalty box, these weapons will travel with you even after exiting the Underdome. Also, as you progress rounds modifiers will be applied to each wave. These modifiers can benefit you or the enemies. This is how the modifiers stack up. Rounds 2 - 4 : 1 Modifier Rounds 5 - 9 : 2 Modifiers Rounds 10 - 14 : 3 Modifiers Rounds 15 - 20 : 4 Modifiers Here is a list of all the possible modifiers and their side-effects. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?p=2652665#post2652665 Here is a breakdown for each wave and possible strategies. Starter Round: During the Starter Round take time to get familiar with your surroundings as well as the enemy spawn points as this will be important for the later rounds. This wave is the easiest of all the waves(rounds ), but the most important for locating possible areas to avoid or stick to when bullets are flying. This wave consist of only the lowest level bandits. Quickly take out all the enemies while watching your health and shield. Gun Round: The Gun Round consists of a slew of different bandits, mostly thugs, outlaws, raiders, etc. However, there usually are Midgets and Bullies added as well. This wave should be fairly simple, take out all the enemies and watch out for any bandits with hard hitting elemental weapons. Avoid taking a lot of damage from the Bullies machine guns or rocket launchers. Horde Round: During the Horde Round the shotgun is your friend. This wave consists of many psychos rushing at you very quickly. Stay away from spawn points at the beginning of the round to avoid being rushed quickly. Stay on the move and use your special ability often to deal big damage and by time from the oncoming rush. Bad Ass Round: While doing the Bad Ass Round note that sometimes the wave will consist of Skags that will attack human members of the wave. Also, most all Skags except for Elder Skags (the spitting ones) are extremely weak to fire elemental weapons. Before starting this wave I would switch your special ability over the fire. The human enemies from this round are mostly the large Brutes, Bullies, Bruisers, and Bad Asses that carry rocket launchers or machine guns, so be careful when taking those enemies out. Boss Round: The Boss Round will be the toughest of all the rounds, obviously. This wave may consist of past bosses from quests or a variety of new bosses added for the DLC. Try to deal big amounts of damage quickly before the boss can lay waste to you or your teammates. Some bosses will have lesser enemies that are included in the wave. This situation often posses two strategies, kill the boss (strongest character) first and then deal with the lesser enemies or pick of the lesser enemies before making your way to the boss. I often choose to take out the boss first because I have a maximum amount of ammo and full health to start the round with. Here is a breakdown for each arena and possible strategies. Hell-Burbia: When facing the boss curtains turn left and go up the stairs and jump on the building in front of the crates. This is an easy spot to defend from and is especially good against the horde wave. The Angelic Ruins: Around the perimeter of the level there is an alley with two raised sections and stairs. This is the best place to defend from before cleaning up the rest of the enemies left over. The Gully: Stay near the top teleporter. Enemies very rarely come through this area, and it can be a easy spot to defend from when overwhelmed with enemies. thanks to daviduk2000 for arena strategies Edited January 2, 2010 by T.B.R.M adding more content

T.B.R.M
Please feel free to offer any criticism or edits to the guide and roadmap. The strategies in the hints/tips section are by no means the best ways to beat each round. They were just tendencies that I have seen during the course of playing the DLC =D Also! If you have the name and effect for any modifiers please post that information on the modifiers thread Edited December 29, 2009 by T.B.R.M
Abadagabada
I think you should mention that the short arenas with 5 rounds take about 25-45 minutes for each one and that the long rounds will generally take 3+ hours (or so thats my personal experience) since you promote playing online I think it would be helpful for them to get an idea of how much time they are going to need. Also under hints/tricks you mention that if you die you need to start over from one however in the long challenges you get a save spot every 5 levels Ie you die on 16 you will respawn on wave 15 instead of one however if you die on 14 you will respawn on 10. However I am unsure if you get the save point for simply getting to level 10 or if you need to complete it. Other than that it is a really nice guide. T.B.R.M
anyone completed the larger challenge for any arena. looking for some more detail in the strategy for each wave? especially any information for good spots to stay on any of the arenas also it is true that you can split screen with a lower level character and a high level character and the enemies are the level of the lower level? if so do the achievements still unlock? does it glitch in anyway? i need to make sure I include that in the guide! thanks for posts on the other thread, i think most of the mods are there Edited December 29, 2009 by T.B.R.M
Infection Ftw
Warning: All rounds must be completed before exiting the Underdome! If not, the rounds will be reset back to one and you will be asked to complete them again. Also, if you die during a round progress is only saved for every 5 rounds completed. Thus, if you die during round 8 then you will restart from the beginning of round 6. Wrong. If you die during a round you get pushed back to the previous round and at the first wave. Example: If you die at the 4th Wave of the 5th Round then if you continue you start at the 1st Wave of the 4th Round. And TBRM please use the edit button instead of posting 3 times a row. Also you say estimated 15 to 20 hours to get the 125G but you also say 'Each arena should take roughly 25 - 40 minutes.' 3X 40Min = 2 hours. And ' Each arena should take roughly 3+ hours.' 3X 3-4 = 9-12 so 11-14 hours should be more logic, Edited December 29, 2009 by Infection Ftw
Infection Ftw
And I suggest you edit your previous messages in one message and delete the other messages since you can get a warning for multiply posts and if you do it often it could result in a ban. Just try to avoid it in the future and you'll be fine:) It's not a big deal so they won't make a huge problem about it so the worst that can happen is a warning the first time. Edit: And if people want to get these achievements easy then let a low level be host since the host will decide the levels of the enemies. So if a level 1 is host and you are a 'guest' with a 50 then the enemies will be level 1. Depends if you want to use a cheapass way or legit which is harder but then you probably enjoy your 800 MSP more. It's your own choice.

T.B.R.M
nope. it means that you must use the same account/save file/character to complete each of the larger challenges. you can definitely do this cooperatively which i recommend
little Nekochan
Yeah I don't see why that'd be a problem to do, but I guess some people might switch around. I only play the game with my boyfriend anyway so we already have set characters.

T.B.R.M
i think the lvl 1 should be able to go to the underdome by using one of the terminals. during my second playthrough of the game (without fast traveling) i was able to access dr ned's zombie island, so i'm assuming it should be the same. let me know if that works for you. daviduk2000
One thing you say boss round is hardest? well i dissagree me and my friends always no matter what boss came up found the boss round the SEcond easiest round. the horde wave was slightly easier. but boss rounds we never even got downed not once. and i have two strategies one gully stay enar teleporter enemies will VERY VERY rarely ever come through them. stay at the top one which is easier to defend if overwhelemd back through to the bottom teleporter make sure nothing followed you. and rince repeat. top teleporter is best though. and in hell burbia. when facing the boss curtains. go left up the stairs and jump onto the building fromt the crates. easy to defend. and enemies dont come upto you. especially good against horde(psyco wave)
Joseph0714
I'm confused... For the Small Tournament achievement, one must complete 5 rounds on each arena... but let's say I beat all the 5 rounds of "The Gully"... will this unlock the The Gully achievement too? or is it like another mission?
