reymundo514
I heard that while you're walking around outside every loads in realtime like GTA: SA so there won't be any loading screens and there are just very short load screens when you enter and exit buildings and caves. g4m3r7ag
what is so bad about draw distances, i dont mind them at all
Emerson
Well a good draw distance is essential IMO in a game like Oblivion. If you emerge from the woods and know there is a mountain range less than a mile ahead, but the view is obscured by a mysterious eternal fog, it kinda ruins the experience. DarkLif3
If you already dig these types of games then buy it because there's too much to do in this game for a rental.

Krazie
im still debating on buying this it will be worth a rent fo shizzle. This game is a must-purchase IMO itd be a waste of a rental anyway, theres way too much stuff in this game to just rent it, you wouldnt even get into the whole midst of the game before you had to return it! reymundo514
Regarding draw distances, it'll be interesting to see how Bethesda handles it in Oblivion. In Morrowind, they just made the terrain very hilly so you usually couldn't see very far anyway. But I would imagine they'll have multiple draw distances with verying levels of detail i.e. a close draw distance with high detail, a medium distance with lesser detail and a far one with low detail. The trick is just getting these boundaries to blend right. In GTA:SA there was a visible circle around you about 20 ft in diameter where the rendering detail started to drop off. Hopefully we won't be seing that in any 360 games.
k_dog
im still debating on buying this it will be worth a rent fo shizzle. Have you experienced Morrowind? If you did and played it all the way through in it's intirety, I don't understand how thins would be much of a debate. -Brian

Substance 360
This game is definatley worth a purchase. Just the face that you can act out your Lord Of The Rings Fantasies ( Walk To The Top Of That Mountain And Look Down ! ) makes it cool. What about the radient AI, The 250 Hours Of Playing Times and a 16 Mile map. THIS IS A MUST BUY.
MA5Bergey
if you wanna see the draw distance or load times, check out the demo videos at gametrailers.com (there are 5 of them)....... the draw distances seem fine enough, and load times were generally around 6 seconds (estimating, i didn't actually time it)....... then again, it wasn't from the final build so the final game may be a bit different
reymundo514
it's tough to tell how the actual game is going to look since the demo video itself is pretty poor quality.
