Swyer87
Have never rubber banded my controller and left it to go round in circles so dont know how well it will work? Anyone already tried this and can offer a good place and any advice?
Deep S6
Just put 200 miles on my Aston Martin. the handling on that car is a lil rough, but manageable
pistonh
You get the 200 miles faster by actually playing. Just find public games and spam the same car as much as you can until you get the mods, then move onto the next. Each SpeedList nets you around 50+ miles after all the meet ups & races so you'll get it after about 4 or 5 of them. Plus, it helps quickly finish the stuff where you need takedowns or near misses to unlock the mods you get from short gears, powershot, and reinforced chassis because you naturally get them as you play against others. When you rubber band the controller or use the drive off cliff method it can take up to 4 hours for each car but when you play it only takes about 1. For the events where it makes you choose a specific class of car there's at least 1 DLC car in those classes (except for SUV) so you'll still be making progress toward at least one car if you get the 24 events for packs - and actually playing gets you those cars in no time. Everyday: Mito QV, RS3, M1, Fiesta ST (Terminal Velocity) Sports: DB5 (Movie); SV, 350Z, R34, GT2 (Heroes) Muscle: Charger, GT500, Trans Am (Movie) Race: BMW GTR (Heroes) Grand Tourer: DBS (Movie) Exotic: 918 Spyder (Terminal); Veyron Vitesse, Venom, Aventador J, F1LM, Zonda R (Ultimate Speed)
Delta3519
Just hop on the interstate and drive the loop over and over. Each lap will take about 5-7 minutes depending on crashes and will net about 13 miles That's how I did it
Swyer87
So taking the quickest time of 5 minutes which would net you 13 miles. That is 75mins of grinding per each car Guessing nobody has tried to rubberband their controller?
pistonh
Yes people have tried it. There's plenty youtube vids of people rubber banding and looped cliff diving and they all say it takes anywhere from 2-4 hours per car that way. It takes way less time and is actually less boring if you play public matches instead of going AFK or by yourself just driving aimlessly in private. You need 10 takedowns with powershot equipped anyways for each car so even if you get the 200 miles by yourself in the first place you'll still have to play some speedlists with others. The time goes by way faster when you're in public games since you don't notice how long it takes & you make progress toward other things while you're at it. The whole point of boosting is to get it done in the least amount of time & effort.

As for the driving 200 miles. (Tried both BTW) There is a trade off. with others is less boring, but by your self is faster. If you choose faster I would highly recommend listening to music while you are doing this. It helps a lot

It helps a lot This is not true. There are 4 regular mods that are not unlocked by mileage but rather by doing certain tasks with other mods. Off Road: Jump 1,500 yards with Reinforced Chassis equipped Long Gears: Drift 1,500 yards with Track Tires equipped Lightweight: Get 60 near misses with Short Gears equipped Impact Protection: Get 10 takedowns with Powershot equipped In particular you can not get takedowns while playing by yourself since it requires you crashing your car into another player. If you look at the requirements for the other mods you get them far more easily by playing public speedlists because the events naturally require you to do some of those tasks (sometimes 2 at a time) without even having to think about it. Only one event type doesn't rack up mileage and that's a park-up (which aren't frequent), the rest of the time you're driving in some shape or form. There is no trade off - if by your calculations you have to grind 75 mins each car by yourself why not work toward more than one mod at a time by joining public? It's not like the number of yards in a mile are somehow shorter when playing by yourself. Driving one mile in public is the same as driving one mile in private. The amount of time you spend crashing playing public is negligible.

But the others can still be gotten by your self
