Big congrats to Capn Doug x36... XBA for reaching 400k. What makes this more impressive is that he did 300k-400k in just over year while maintaining that beastly 99% completion. He hit this milestone on the 4 year anniversary of starting his non-stop achievement streak. 4 YEARS of at least 1 achievement a day.

When last we congratulated Doug on a 100k milestone, he and I (plus Kaleido and Radarboy) had just failed an attempt at Endure on Halo 3 ODST due to lag out. I am happy to say we got that one around a month later. So no saddening failure to speak of right now.

HE STILL HASN'T PLAYED DARK SOULS! FOR SHAME DOUG! We were talking about you playing it last time you hit a 100k milestone. For shame!

What achievement did he hit this marvelous milestone with? Hungover from Assassin's Creed 4: Black (Xbox One). Seems kinda appropriate for Doug of all people to hit 400k with an achievement regarding drinking. Its pretty cool that he hit like a pro and used an Assassin's Creed game.

Congrats Doug, hopefully you get better soon. Enjoy your shiny 400k!

Congrats on the milestone Doug! I know you had a number of setbacks along the way the last little while, but it's amazing to see you hit it with such speed and determination, maintaining that insane completion percentage is the icing on the cake!

Probably won't see you hit 500K near as fast seeing as you're now retired from scoring competitively, but hopefully you'll have a little more fun on your way there :). Take a break and relax now, you've earned it! :drunk

Hopefully nothing too serious, got sick, lost his voice. Although it's been drawn out longer than you'd expect...

Yeah, my voice has been gone and getting progressively worse for the last 3 weeks. Not to mention the ear issue that took me out of GSL. The voice issue is bad enough that I got referred to a specialist today, so hopefully they will at least have some answers, since every test has come back negative. And, as anyone who's been in party chat with me can attest, I do love the sound of my own voice.

Anyway, more pleasant stuff. Here are some numbers to make you feel inadequate ;)

16309 achievements

505 completions

99.08% completion rate

An achievement every day for 4 years

A completion starting with every letter of the alphabet

3 dead consoles

And a backlog to rival the best

About time Doug, you really drew that last 10k out for a long time :p

Seriously though, congratulations. 400k is impressive, 99% completion is really impressive, and unlocking at least one achievement per day for four years straight is outstanding. That's some serious dedication. If anyone deserves to take a break from scoring it's you, especially after all of your great GSL performances.

Whew, that is awesome.

This made me smile, talk about dedication.

Grats Doug!! Celebrate that Hungover achievement with the Women's Hockey Team!!

Get well soon dude!

Thanks for the kudos, everyone. It took was longer than I would have liked to go from 390k to 400k, but it feels good to finally be done. I think I'll be kicking back and hunting for a few staff clubs now.

Hitting 400K is impressive in itself but those stats are awesome. Takes some serious dedication to unlock and achievement everyday, especially at times like the days following the end of GSL where most take a break:)

Yeah, there have been a few days where I literally go downstairs just to get an achievement. Sometimes it's because of work, sometimes it's because of fatigue. And sometimes I just get lucky. There have been more than a few times where I stay up until after midnight and pop an achievement without even thinking about it. And on a few of those days something prevents me from getting on my console. Family emergency, working extra OT, console dies... I'm actually surprised it is still going.

Congrats, Doug :)

You're an animal. But you gotta get that 100% completion rate, man, com'n!

Yeah, 100% hasn't bee possible for years. I played Dance Dance Revolution Universe 3 while recovering from my car accident because my mom thought it was like WiiFit. It is kind of freeing to not have 100% as a possible goal. There are some games that I don't want to have to go back to anytime soon. So now I just work to get the completion rate ever higher.

Thinking about starting on Gackt's? If I'm not mistaken all you need for it is Dark Souls, correct?
