it's the easiest cod to get 1000 in imo

no missions against the clock no downing 44 zeroes no getting 40,000 exp in mp or killing 3 germans with 1 bullet

1 really challenging mission on veteran the rest have hard bits but nothing too bad

if your good at fps and have played the other cods on veteran then it's imo an easy 1000

i think a lot of peeps say this is the hardest is because it's the first one they tried to do on veteran

when 3, 4 and 5 come out they were a lot more experienced at playing call of duty

i reckon if everyone who is saying this is the hardest went back to it now after playing 3, 4 and 5 a lot would change their mind

hardest one of the cod's i must say. finally done with it. only cod3 left to beat on veteran. but doubt i will go for it. the online achievements in cod3 sucks, so i'll never 1000 it

Hi there TC

Yeah I wouldn't be fooled by some of the posts in this threat. Despite this game (possibly) being easier to achieve 1000GS on, it is still a very big challenge! I must have spent many many frustrating hours until I managed to finally get 1000. Also some of the little glitches (i.e. game checkpointing just as you are away to die on the tower) really doesn't help your cause!!

But stick at it and you will be rewarded!

Cod5 Vet was hardest only because of the Grenades
Cod 4 Easy
Cod 3 Easy
Cod 2 Moderate. Harder than 3 and 4 that's for sure but if you beat 5 then not that hard.

unless you like spending long hours on a game, dont rent or buy it, get cod4 or WaW instead. they're more fun and easier to beat

Do not let people scare you into saying this game pwns you - it is puncuated with excellent checkpoints, coupled with superb level design - all of this helps you through the game.

Honest opinion.......a easy 1000.
Enjoy.
Die, please go ahead and die *sorry I just came from COD2 rage* I am on Comrade Sniper and I got right to the end
died, 100 times, no joke I was at it for a very long time, the bit where you have to defend against the german cuntbags. I beat it then I died before the check point hit after the line of text telling me I did the objective a split second later and I would of checkpointed. It is NOT an easy 1000, anyone who says it is is in my death book for people who will die, by cheesegrater, oh also note that my game crashed and I now have to restart the enire level...

Way back when I bought/completed it, I thought it was pretty difficult. But with some of the games I have completed now (Robotron Wave 100 immediately comes to mind) it doesn't seem nearly as difficult now.

This thread brings back fond memories of the Sniper Level, I may have to replay that level just for fun after I play/complete my newly bought $9.99 games at the BestBuy Clearance Sale today.

Well what I like about this Call of Duty compared to the others is all you have to do for full 1000G is beat veteren. It is cetainly not easy, but not too hard.

I got this on release day and gave up on veteran. But I completed COD4 and COD5 Waw on Veteran so I thought I'd come back to it.
I only have the last 2 missions left to do Hill 400 and Crossing the Rhine.

Overall theres not much between the games, they are all ridiculousy hard, 1000gs is a REAL badge of honour on all COD games.

Everyone seems to have a different opinion about which was the hardest, for me (so far) nothing can touch Mile high club. I had sleepness nights over that level.

It is Tough if you havent played the other COD's; but if you can beat Mile High Club, Heart of the Reich & No fighting in the war room,

Than you can beat this game on Vet,

You might aswell rent it for a week; took me 3 days with about 3 hrs each day so that will save you money although i bought it.. its cheap to buy anyway.

I'm doing this at the moment I've done all the russian levels only bit that was semi hard was the wave part but camp in the stairs there. I personally found 5 harder than 4 only part in 4 that was hard was the countdown for nuke things XD. only 2 hard levels on 5 as well but maybe that's my opinion no cod game is really a challenge maybe i'll be prooved wrong on d-day and maybe the new cod will throw me off a perfect 1000/1000 without DLC

The Russian missions are very easy (aside from maybe the very beginning of "the wire"). The English ones are a little tougher, but still, you'll only find two or three checkpoints really tough. The hardest part for me was when McGeggor was driving the tank.

It gets much more difficult with the American campaign. The Silo is really tricky, but everything after that isn't too bad if you take your time. I heard that Hill 400 would be the hardest part, but it really wasn't.

This is definitely not an easy 1000 g game. Veteran mode is extremely difficult, to the point of every Nazi aiming at and killing you with one shot. It's tolerable until the latter part of Rommel's Last Stand; after that, lots of cursing.

Started this game on veteran and i raced through the game in about 3 days until i got the D day campagin. The D day campagin is quite hard but the rest is a peice of cake compared to call of duty 3. Easy 1K, so go for it and if you get annoyed just keep trying and you will get it.

There were definitely difficult parts in this game, but overall I found it easier than World at War (which was my first CoD). World at War also seemed much cheaper in the way it approached making the game difficult. That said, easier is a relative term when it comes to any of these games on Veteran - they all seem to be so consistently difficult that whichever one is the most difficult winds up being fairly subjective.

Most annoying parts:

Crawling up a slope in D-Day, only to have teammates rush up behind me, drag me up the slope by running over my prone body, and then die before I could get back into cover.

Having to restart a checkpoint because a teammate runs in front of my gun as I'm firing, or runs straight toward a grenade I just threw.

Having to redo the last checkpoint on the silo because a teammate nudged me off the ladder and dropped me to my death.

Having to restart the last part of Hill 400 because of some weird glitch that prevented me from getting through the mortar teams. I didn't realize this part was glitched for a while, and just kept running around and dying, trying to find the final mortar team(s). This was the only part of the game that really pissed me off - then I restarted the section and got through it very easily.

Biggest gripe with the game: Enemy throws back grenades, teammates throw back grenades, but somehow the player lacks this ability.

I imagine I'll play through CoD4 before MW2 comes out. I'm not sure if I will play CoD3 - if I do, it will probably be after both 4 and MW2, since I don't particularly like Treyarch, and I don't like the fact that there are multiplayer achievements.
