Poll: Fable II or Fallout 3

Both Fallout 3 and Fable II are the same type of game. Although they have many differences (plot, game style, makers, settings, etc). They both came out around the same time, so: which do you prefer?

If you have an opinion or reasoning, feel free to post it.

I bought Fable 2 and rented Fallout 3. I wish I had done it the other way around. Fable 2 was fun, but Fallout 3 way more fun IMO.

Fallout just because the sidequest are funner, it is longer, and just because you become powerful doesn't mean you have to look odd.

I powered down my character in Fable just because they begin to look so odd compare to everyone else.

They're nothing alike, Fable 2 holds your hand throughout the entire game and is a lot more colourful for one. Gameplay not very long and novelty in my opinion didn't last very long I found myself only continueing for a few more achievements I could bother with. Your typical kiddy hack and slash, but that is what is expected.

Fallout 3 is much more detailed, and manages to combine FPS very nicely. First time around I would of spent 40+ hours JUST roaming the land and collecting ammo and odd sorts, scanning every nook and cranny I could possibly find and making sure I didn't miss a thing. Then theres the quests, sure the main story doesnt go for long but the sidequests are almost endless. Second time playing now and enjoying every minute of it, in no rush for achievements whatsoever.

I would definitely get Fallout 3. I just couldn't get onto Fable 2, it seemed pretty glitchy as well.

But Fallout 3 is absolutely amazing. I would spend hours on one dungeon just exploring.

Get Fallout 3.

Fallout 3 and its nearly unlimited exploration makes it better than Fable 2 in my opinion.

Fallout 3 would get a 9/10

Fable 2 would get a 7/10

Looks like Fable 2 isn't getting much love :P

Personally love Fallout 3, just the feel of it and the fact it sorta carries on from the previous titles is just great

fallout by a mile, fable is a good game but is not really an rpg, it is more of an adventure game and is short and easy to get through.

Fallout is a much more darker tale with a lot to acomplish and do.

tough decision....

Fallout 3 is an amazing game with an outstanding story. Whereas Fable reminds me of Zelda which i loved so much, but in fallout when ur first born and learning to walk it captures the essence of a real rpg, and real gamers will appericate fallout3 more than fable..

I prefered Fable II to be honest. Probably biased since I haven't really got into Fallout 3. Ah well. I like Fable II a lot though, so I doubt I'll like Fallout more. Just my preference though, so don't bite me.

easily fallout 3. Fable 2 was my first 360 game, I absolutely loved the first play through, started a 2nd to get the rest of my achievements and got 1/3rd the way through before becoming incredibly bored upon realizing how shallow it really is.

Fallout 3 kept me going for 150 hours.

Fable to is a very good game but once you have completed it i find it boring to go around and complete it again.
with fallout 3 you can complete it many times ( I'm on my 3rd time) it has different endings and has very good graphics and i like the fact your not restricted to play the story, you can free roam and do the next mission when you like.

Overall:
Fable - rent
Fallout - buy

Most Of the people voted for Fallout, But I do prefer Fable II. I did try Fallout but I just didn't liked It, If I played to it more than once and got more through the game, maybe my choice would change.

For pure wit and charm It has to be Fable theres just something lovable about Albion. I prefer Fable 1 though. On the other hand I also like the style of Fallout very original, I cant choose

Fable 2 blows, Fallout 3 is way out of Fable's league...it's insulting to try and compare the two games. Saying these two games are the same type of game is almost like saying that all humans are the same. We're the same species homo-sapiens but no way in hell are we the same on the inside. I would think that Fable could've been better if it wasn't so linear, there were actually better weapons and armor, the magic system didn't suck ass, oh and a final boss might of perked the game up being that you lvl up all game for NOTHING. Terrible poll.

The appearance altering in Fable 2 was awesome. The story in Fable 2 was also written better. But Fallout 3 takes the cake with V.A.T.S. The advanced targeting thing in Fable 2 is cool, but it is so much more fun to use V.A.T.S. in Fallout 3.

How in the hell was Fable 2 written better than Fallout 3? First off that is 100% opinionated. Second, how do you believe that it is written "better" are you saying that they executed Fables story better than Fallout executed theirs? If so than that's ridiculous, a desolate post nuclear apocolyptic wasteland isn't supposed to have what Fable 2 does, and they do an excellent job representing it. Did you actually play Fallout 3? Unless you're stating that the story itself in Fable 2 is better which leads back to the first statement, opinionated. But in the end you decide Fallout 3 is better primarily because the V.A.T.S. system... I don't know what you expect when you play a game like this ( I have a GOOD idea though ) but to even compare the two games is absolutely absurd.

Fable 2 is way too short and repetitive to hold a candle to fallout 3. Fallout has so many more weapons, and they are actually different, not just a slower swing or more spread.

Fallout 3 is an amazing game and like elder scrolls Oblivian I would just spend hours scouting locations before I actually realised I wasnt really "playing" the game, but Im voting Fable 2 as I can sit with my girlfriend for a few hours on it as she is not amazingly good at any sort of game but fable is so user friendly for beginners she can play it just as well as me.

Only real downside to the fable 2 multiplayer is the lame second player being a henchman and not being able to interact with world...even though the henchmans stats are exactly what that players actual hero's are?!

I liked them both for very different reasons. I don't even really consider them the same type of game, but that is just my opinion. If I had to be stranded on a deserted island with only one, I'd probably pick Fallout 3.

I enjoyed both stories and appreciated their sense of humor. Fable II's combat could be a little frustrating though (trying to aim *here* only to be spun 90 degrees over *there*).

Overall I'd have to pick Fallout 3.

Fable 2.

I love games that are set in the olden days, just my opinion though. Couldn't really get into Fallout 3, I seemed to get bored really fast. But each to their own right
