"One Bizarre Woman" 20
Complete Quest No.1 "One Bizarre Woman" (LV1~3)

To complete levels of this quest, you must use Aya’s or Saki’s Counter Stance attack to kill at least 1 zombie 10, 20 or 30 times in 1 level. A Counter Stance attack is initiated by pushing and at the same time. The only drawback is that performing the Counter Stance attack drains your life bar so it would be wise to wait until you either have a ling life bar or lots of health items in your inventory. This achievement can be earned in any level. Quest levels do not stack and level must be completed before the next level of the quest can be achieved. Achievement will unlock right away during the level when you hit quest criteria.

"Genocider" 30
Complete Quest No.2 "Genocider" (LV1~3)

Levels of this quest are completed by killing 200+, 400+ and 650+ zombies in 1 level. A pretty straightforward quest to complete since all that is required is to kill a required amount of zombies. The final cage match in level 3 right before the stage exit is the best place to farm kills and can be a good place to work on several other quests at the same time. Simply avoid killing the mudmen and the zombies will continue to respawn at a very fast rate. Quest levels do not stack and level must be completed before the next level of the quest can be achieved. Achievement will unlock right away during the level when you hit quest criteria.

"Crimson Makeup" 20
Complete Quest No.3 "Crimson Makeup" (LV1~3)

In order to complete levels in this quest, you have to kill a lot of enemies with Aya or Saki to constantly expose the girls to splatter damage in 1 level. It’s easier to enable Rampage mode several times in one run of a level, then cure yourself with a goddess statue or a fragment to see how much progress you are making. You can achieve this at the same time you are working towards completing the quest, “Crimson Makeup” You can get this in level 3 in the final cage match right before the end of the level if you constantly cure your rampage mode with a goddess statue fragment (They will drop more frequently if you are close to a full Rampage bar.) to prevent you from killing the mudmen. Quest levels do not stack and level must be completed before the next level of the quest can be achieved. Achievement will unlock right away during the level when you hit quest criteria.

"Insane Libido" 20
Complete Quest No.4 "Insane Libido" (LV1~3)

Levels of this quest can be completed by staying in Rampage mode for 3-4 minutes during a boss fight before defeating them. You can prepare for this quest by having a large life bar and having at least 2 bloody lumps in your inventory. You can also complete this in the same level over and over on any difficulty level. When you begin the boss fight, enable Rampage mode by using 2 bloody lumps and allowing 3 or 4 minutes to pass before defeating the boss. You’ll get a prompt shortly after defeating the boss but before the end results screen that you have successfully completed the quest. If prompt does not come up, then you can quickly pause and restart the level. The achievement will unlock after the third level of the quest has been completed.

"Near Death High" 20
Complete Quest No.5 "Near Death High" (LV1~3)

Defeat a boss your girl at one bar of health 3 times to unlock this achievement. You can prepare one of the girls by performing Aya or Saki’s counter-stance move until they are at 1 bar of health, then switch to her partner to whittle down the final boss. Then swap back to the weakened girl and finish off the boss. This can be done on the same level and is easily achieved on the first level on easy or normal. You’ll get a prompt shortly after defeating the boss but before the end results screen that you have successfully completed the quest. If prompt does not come up, then you can quickly pause and restart the level. The achievement will unlock after the third level of the quest has been completed.

"Bloody Sword" 20
Complete Quest No.6 "Bloody Sword" (LV1~3)

Defeat a boss with a full gore meter 3 times to unlock this achievement. You can prepare one of the girls swords before the boss fight with a full gore meter then switch to her partner to whittle down the final boss. Then swap back to the girl with the completely bloody sword and finish off the boss.

"Dance of the Empress" 30
Complete Quest No.7 "Dance of the Empress" (LV1~3)

Aya’s skill bar must be completely full to perform the full combo to achieve all 3 levels of this quest. This can be done in any level and the combo does not have to hit an enemy. There is a slight delay after the third attack to initiate the, “Chaotic Luster Maelstrom” which is a fancy name for repeated left and right slashes. The timing can be seen in training mode and is identified as a white bar under the timing bracket. A bloody sword can slow down the timing if you prefer. You can unlock this in level 1 after the first caged match. Keep successfully performing the attack until the game prompts that you have completed the criteria for successful consecutive sword swings, then complete the level. Quest levels do not stack and level must be completed before the next level of the quest can be achieved. Achievement will unlock right away during the level when you hit quest criteria.

Additional assistance on this achievement can be found at http://www.xbox360achievements.org/f...0&postcount=35

"Combo Death of the Empress" 30
Complete Quest No.8 "Combo Death of the Empress" (LV1~3)

To complete this achievement, you must not just hit, but kill 50, 70 and 100 enemies in rapid succession in one level. Although this can be done on any level, it is easier to complete in level 5. This is easier to achieve when Aya has a large life bar so you don’t have to worry about dying mid-run. I found it easier to use to pop a wheelie instead of using to attack because you can focus on moving from one zombie to the next. Try to run over the dogs that run along your cycle to keep your combo going in between zombie crowds. The quest directly conflicts with, ”Hit and Run” so if the game thinks you’re going for combo hits instead of combo kills, then the game will track one or the other and may not unlock. This will no longer be an issue if the requirements kills/hits is higher than the other as the quest criteria will no longer conflict. Quest levels do not stack and level must be completed before the next level of the quest can be achieved. Achievement will unlock right away during the level when you hit quest criteria.

"The Untouched Empress" 30
Complete Quest No.9 "The Untouched Empress" (LV1~3)

Complete 3 chapters without either girl receiving damage in any way. You will get a prompt in the rewards screen that loads after the level is clear that you have successfully completed a level of the quest and before your prompt to save your game. The achievement will pop after the last level of the quest is completed. You can replay the level 1 on easy 3 times to get this achievement.

"Swift and Beautiful Death" 30
Complete Quest No.10 "Swift and Beautiful Death" (LV1~3)

To complete this achievement, kill level 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 17, 19 and 20 bosses as fast as possible. If you can keep it less than 15 seconds from cutscreen to boss death, then you are leaning towards the safe side and is easily attainable if you have high level girls and are replaying levels on a low difficulty. You get quest completion prompts from the game after you defeat 3,7 and all bosses shortly after killing the boss but before the end level screen. The achievement pops at the same time the third quest completion prompt is shown. Keep a checklist handy of bosses defeated in this matter to prevent confusion.

"Cool Master" 30
Complete Quest No.11 "Cool Master" (LV1~3)

To complete this achievement, you must have a 60%, 75% and 95% cool combo hit percentage out of all attacks performed in one level. The first strike, any regular strikes and misses count against the percentage, as they are not cool combo hits so minimize your strikes unless you’re sure that your timing is down. Damage done on to you does not effect the achievement. This achievement is greatly aided by acquiring the special skill bracelet from the blood mist zombie in level 10 and leveling it to level 3. Its effects immensely open the cool combo window and makes timing cool combo strikes much easier. Having a maxed out reach statistic ensures that you won’t miss as well. You can get the first 2 levels in the first level on normal, (not enough hits land on easy to get a good ratio.) Taunt the zombies in the first caged battle into one group and kill them with one combo. Then run straight to the boss and attack him exclusively from behind. You can get the final quest completed in level 11 against the killer whale boss and only attacking when it has beached itself on the dock. You know that you have met criteria for completing the quest when you get the prompt from the game shortly after you beat the boss but before the end level screen. If quest does not prompt a successful attempt, then you can quickly pause after beating the boss and restart the level. Quest levels do not stack and level must be completed before the next level of the quest can be achieved. Achievement will unlock right away during the level when you hit quest criteria.

"Zombie Piercer" 20
Complete Quest No.12 "Zombie Piercer" (LV1~3)

Requires 5, 10 and 15 consecutive Mudmen kills with hand thrusts without taking damage. Mudmen are the brown zombies that don’t die with regular attacks and are often surrounded by respawning zombies. To perform the hand thrust, you must use Aya (Single sword stance) or Saki, press 3 times, wait for a split second then press and at the same time. (assuming the mudman is right in front of you.)You successfully did the hand thrust when your girl rips out the heart out of the mudman, and he doubles over and dies. If done to mudmen that are close to each other, you may even get credit for killing them in this manner as well if your reach stat is high. If you are damaged at anytime while you are completing this quest, you start again from 0. The best place to do this quest is in level 9 in the underground passage. There are 6 mudmen that respawn every time you leave and return to the area. Quest levels do not stack and level must be completed before the next level of the quest can be achieved. Achievement will unlock right away during the level when you hit quest criteria.

"Technical Master" 20
Complete Quest No.13 "Technical Master" (LV1~3)

Reach the combo level of, “Violent” 1, 4 and 5 times in one chapter. Violent combo rank is not difficult to get with Annna, but you cannot achieve credit for the combo by just shooting one mudman the entire time. You actually have to shoot at a few zombies before unloading into the mudman and complete the combo on a different zombie in order to receive credit for that combo. There is no way to tell if you are receiving credit for this quest other than when you get the prompts from the game saying that the quest level was completed. This is easily done on level 3 with Annna on free play mode in the final caged battle right before the exit. Quest levels do not stack and level must be completed before the next level of the quest can be achieved. Achievement will unlock right away during the level when you hit quest criteria.

"Height of Ecstasy" 30
Complete Quest No.14 "Height of Ecstasy" (LV1~3)

Use your ecstasy attack 3, 6 and 9 times in one level when your ecstasy bar is completely full. One of the more simpler quests that you can easily complete through regular gameplay using Annna. If you need to grind this achievement, use Annna to pump crowds of zombies and mudmen full of lead until her ecstasy bar is completely full, then press and at the same time to utilize her Bullet Frenzy attack. Easily done on level 3 with Annna on free play mode in the final caged battle right before the exit. Quest levels do not stack and level must be completed before the next level of the quest can be achieved. Achievement will unlock right away during the level when you hit quest criteria.

"Rampaging Baneful Blood" 30
Complete Quest No.15 "Rampaging Baneful Blood" (LV1~3)

Enable Rampage Mode v2 in three different occasions, once per level. Only unlockable by using Aya or Saki and you must have a full skill bar to achieve this. Rampage Mode 2 is enabled by going into Rampage Mode on the final hit of your completed cool combo. To make this simpler to do, acquire the splatter bracelet from the blood mist zombie in level 4 and level that bracelet to level 3. (Bracelets gain experience by picking up orbs and completing levels while you are wearing it, even if you are max level.) At level 3 the bracelet prevents any splatter meter gains. Go to level 9 as Saki and prepare her by building up the splatter meter to almost full, where the character portrait is completely red and slowly pulsing. Equip the splatter bracelet and attack the blood mist zombie on that level with a full cool combo. Before the final hit, which is a high jumping downward stab, quickly go into the item screen, unequip the splatter bracelet. If it was successfully completed, Saki will go into Rampage Mode with neon red hair and you’ll get a quest update confirming completion of the quest. Quest levels do not stack and level must be completed before the next level of the quest can be achieved. Achievement will unlock right away during the level when you hit quest criteria.

"Swallow's Dance" 30
Complete Quest No.16 "Swallow's Dance" (LV1~3)

Enable Clear Sight 10, 20 and 30 times in one level without taking damage. Target a boss with , then spam to constantly roll towards them. Although not every dodge will initiate clear sight, it will prevent the boss from hitting you at all if you can press dodge fast enough. When the gameplay slows during a dodge, the game has gone into Clear Sight mode. If the boss successfully hits you, it resets the count back to 0. Best done against the first version of Reiko in level 7 on easy or normal. Quest levels do not stack and level must be completed before the next level of the quest can be achieved. Achievement will unlock right away during the level when you hit quest criteria.

"Counterstrike Flash" 30
Complete Quest No.17 "Counterstrike Flash" (LV1~3)

Utilize Clear Sight to counterattack the enemy bosses in level 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 17, 19 and 20. Target a boss with , then spam to constantly roll towards them. Although not every dodge will initiate clear sight, it will prevent the boss from hitting you at all if you can press dodge fast enough. When the gameplay slows during a dodge, the game has gone into Clear Sight mode and you must press during that timeframe to initiate a counterattack. You know that your counterattack is successful when the damage inflicted to the boss is much higher than the average hit. The killing blow to the boss must be a counterattack to complete this quest. Quest levels are completed after killing 3,7 and all bosses with a counterattack and unlock shortly after the boss dies and before the game goes into the level end screen. Keep a checklist of bosses defeated to prevent confusion.

"Hit & Run" 20
Complete Quest No.18 "Hit & Run" (LV1~3)

Only achievable in level 5. Hit and Run applies to the hit combo and not the kill combo. You must hit 20, 40 and 60 enemies in quick succession to complete this quest. The quest directly conflicts with,” Combo Death of the Empress” so if the game thinks you’re going for combo kills instead of combo hits, then the game will track one or the other and may not unlock. This will no longer be an issue if the requirements kills/hits is higher than the other as the quest criteria will no longer conflict. Quest levels do not stack and level must be completed before the next level of the quest can be achieved. Achievement will unlock right away during the level when you hit quest criteria.

"Rain of Bullets" 20
Complete Quest No.19 "Rain of Bullets" (LV1~3)

Select Annna and continue to shoot either your handguns or Uzi 2000, 3000 and 4000 times in one level to complete this quest. Quest levels do not stack and level must be completed before the next level of the quest can be achieved. Best targets are Mudmen and Blood Mist Zombies as they do not die from regular attacks. Shooting though multiple enemies also count as multiples as well so shooting into crowds speeds up the process. Can come from regular play, but can be grinded quickly in level 3 in the caged battle right before the exit. Achievement will pop right away when you hit quest criteria.

"Arrival in the Abyss" 20
Complete Quest No.20 "Arrival in the Abyss" (LV1~3)

Requires full completion of the story mode at any level before all levels of the quest can be completed. You must play in survival mode and reach level 16, 36 and 56 from level 1. Quest levels are not stackable and must die or quit and save before attempting the next level of the quest. Achievement will unlock right away after defeating level 56.

This is the tool that I wish I had when I was figuring out the timing of the cool combos. Below are youtube videos of the cool combo button cadence. The purpose of these videos is to give players an audio/visual idea of the right timing to press the attack button to complete the difficult cool combo in Onechanbara. Much more effective than reading about the timing in my opinion.

Fantastic guide

I'm going to purchase this game next week, if you could just clear this up for me.

These are quests? Levels?

Are these achievements awarded for completing certain levels, doing certain things within those levels? I understand what I have to do, just not when or where I have to do it

There are 20 levels, called chapters in the game. The quests are "objectives" that you can complete while you're playing the story mode to unlock stuff. Like earning achievements in Gears of War 2. You don't have to do any of the quests to complete the story, but you can go back at any time to complete them when you want to.

To see how to get this go to practice mode with Aya and use her single sword stance (Saki cannot finish the final level of the quest). Hit X 3 times and look at the timing bar and you'll see a spot with a white bar on top of a purple bar. Hit X when the marker is on that and Aya will do a horizontal swing. On each bar after that hit X when the marker is over the white bar and she will swing horizontally back and forth, that's Dance of the Empress.

The best stage to do it on where it will count is Chapter 1. Just clear out the enemies in the beginning and start trying the combo, you don't need to hit any enemies for it to unlock the quest. The timing gets faster the farther into the combo she gets but just keep hitting X at the end of her swings and you'll figure the timing eventually, just make sure you have her skill bar filled all the way up.

What do you do when there are more than one boss (such as Chapter 8) that you fight at once? Do you just counter the last one alive or do you have to counter everyone?

I noticed an error in the Unlock All bonuses for Aya achievement. You listed that the "Dance of the Empress" has to be unlocked, but it does not; I got the unlock all bonuses achievement without even completing one level of that quest.

When I did this quest, I countered all bosses just to be absolutely sure so I can't say that you should only do it to the last one.

You can test it out by only beating the last boss with a counter attack when you are on your third or seventh boss. If the quest completion prompt does not pop up shortly after beating the bosses, then you probably do have to beat all bosses with a counter attack.

If you're constantly dodging, then you should avoid all hits from all bosses anyways.

Got it, I verified and made the correction. "Dance of the Empress" applies to Saki's Completion Bonuses.

I found another way to do this. Accelerate with A and use the triggers to swerve. By the time you've passed the second or third group of zombies, you should have a large enough group of zombie dogs to get the necessary combo level by swerving with the triggers to bounce into them. Keep an eye on the mini-map to see which side a group is coming along side of. You may get stuck on a wall, so don't linger around. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I HATE that friggin' wall...I just kept going full speed ramming everything on easy mode, including the dogs that come up to the side of you. got it very first two tries. The third on I didn't get enough of a combo, but the fourth run through I got it. Just gotta pay attention is all haha. But yeah, just drive into the zombies and dogs without hitting the wall, no need to do a lot of swerving or wheelies or anything.

BTW: Still having trouble with that achievement, Dance Of The Empress. Probably because I cannot pull of that stupid cool combo to save my life, even in practice. I just can't get the timing down. This is going to take a while, isn't it? I'm just having such a hard freakin' time with this it's insane...Anyone know how many times it has to be done in the stage per chapter?

Actually for dance of the empress, it's not the cool combo you're pulling off, it's the one where you slash back and fourth. It's like you're about to do the palm strike, but instead of pushing a direction with the X button, you just press X by itself. In training, there is a thin white window where you start the maelstorm combo, and I think you have to do it for 10, 15 and 20 times. But I didn't count because the timing speeds up as you go up in the combo. The quest completion prompt does pop right away when you get enough swings though.

I finished this quest but managed to muck up chapter 2's boss on the way without realizing it so I did every combination I could think of on the double bosses and finally went through all the bosses again and it unlocked so any notion I had of figuring this out went out the window.

I honestly have no idea wtf you are talking about haha. I feel so stupid, it'd probably something SO EASY that I'm missing.

First of all, is it one sword or two? That could be what I'm doing wrong.

Second, is that what I do?
slash slash slash, pause (as if I'm to do a palm strike as you stated), then x again and just keep pressing x? I don't see a small white window in training other then the one I always press x on and it goes into a cool combo.

If anyone reading this could load a video of it or something, that would really make life easier on me. For some reason I seriously just cannot figure it out, or at least which sword is it? If it's the dual swords for Aya, and it's a 16 hit combo (not cool combo as you stated) then I guess I've done it many a time haha. If it'ss the one in the video above, just minus the cool combo aspect and the spinnning with the swords as the last hit against the blood mist zombie, then I do know what I'm doing haha.

It's one-sword, Saki can do it but cannot finish the last quest so just use Aya.

I can't make a video (my TV is LCD and it is extremely blurry on cam) so I apologize for trying to describe it again but here goes (using practice mode as it's easier for me to describe):

1st X: Aya does downward slash
2nd X: Aya does a slash from left to right
3rd X: From that right Aya spins around and does a 360 slash to the right again

Now if you look DIRECTLY BELOW the timing bar on the 3rd X You will see a teal bar and a white bar on top of a purple bar. Hit X while the marker is on that white/purple bar area. If Aya does a slash from right to left then you got it right. If she does a jumping slash you're hitting X too fast, try slowing it down a half second.

After you get the horizontal slash on the 4th X you need to keep hitting X at the end of her slashes (she will just slash left to right, right to left, left to right, and so on). There is a white bar underneath the timing bar to indicate when to hit X. The timing will get faster and faster the longer the combo gets so it does take practice.

If you can pull off Cool Combos I'd suggest getting the Special Skills Bracelet first, it makes it much easier to do but it's possible without it.

And if anyone actually can make a video please do, this is really wordy to describe.

Great tip on using Saki and the splatter bracelet to get Rampaging Baneful Blood done quickly. Turned what I though would be a real frustration into a 10 minute quest. Awesome job on the guide!

For the Dance of the Empress:

The first image shows the window for the first strike of the “Chaotic Luster Maelstrom." It is the thin white bar that is located under the timing bar.

The second image shows the location of the white bar for every strike AFTER the first one.

If you're having a pretty difficult time doing the “Chaotic Luster Maelstrom” Consider using Reiko. Her “Chaotic Luster Maelstrom” window is HUGE compared to the other girls. The last two pictures show Reiko's first strike window and every consecutive strike after that. Like the cool combo, it all comes down to the timing once again.

I have looked every where and I'm confused. How do you not run out of ammo??? Do you have to fully level up her gun in her stats ???? Does it give her more or unlimited ??????

Sorry if someone else has asked or answered but I could not find it listed anywhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

I don't think you played the game if you think Annna might run out of bullets...

It's like Devil May Cry. She never runs out of bullets.

Thank you very much for this guide and all your hard work. I have the Japanese version of this game and literally gave up on it last year. I put about 25 hours in and had all the quests complete except for 10, 11, 15 and 20. Also had the violent and berserk levels to complete. I figured I would never be able to pull off the cool combos so the game sat since May 08'.

When the game came out here I gave it another shot and reading your posts I realized what I was doing wrong. I thought you had to press X on the yellow marks in practice, I had no idea the bar on the bottom was the timing. After a few trys I was pulling off full cool combos for the first time. And actually killing the blood zombies!

Your videos helped a ton, I kept repeating you in my head when doing saki's cool combo. 1 2 3.....4...5 The trick for quest 15 and seeing everyone else 1000 this game got me motivated to finish it.

So again, thank you! and thanks to everyone else that posted hints.

It's funny because I really thought that 780 was what I was going to sit at until I sat down and figured out the cool combo. I checked out your tag and realized that those last achievements were the last ones I got too. The videos were made specifically for people like you and me who couldn't figure out the cool combo.

You can add 110 points more to my debt.

Yesterday i was freaking mad with frustration on how difficult was to make the cool combo with Saki, needed to Rampaging Baneful Blood Quest.

But then i slept and tonight i was willing to try again. And, surprisingly, i managed to do it rather easily. My blood mist of choice was 12th level.

I had to do it twice on all three quest levels, cause i used the bracelet a little too soon, the final hit wasnt enough to start rampage mode. And i killed him with Aya too, getting his good damn Bullet Bracelet

Now, only one more quest to 1000/1000

But its the craziest one, so i dont have high expectations. I tried the whale level, but its very difficult to pull cool combo off with clean swords, and the beast wont hold still for me to perform the full combo >.<

Jesus, i need help, or maybe need to let it go =)

thanks one more time, mate

edit: so, i gave the last one, cool master, a try before calling it a day. And i managed to get first level of the quest against the whale on hard!

Tried for the second quest level, on normal against the whale again, pulled out a 7 and a 6 cool combo, but missed a few too, so no level.

Is this the better way? I get Aya with double sword and rampage bracelet, so the damage wont stop the combo. Should i use another bracelet? The Skill Bracelet lvl 3 dont seem to help much. How to make the whale dock with open mouth without wasting miss hits?

Oh the pain... Such an achievement whore i feel right now
