I pre-ordered the Dragon Age Origins Collectos Edition last week. Not only does this game look awsome, but that armor is going to look sweet on my version of Commander Shepherd.

i wasnt gonna buy dragon age for the ME2 armor at first. i mean, how good can armor get? well now that ive seen this im gonna have to totally rethink my choice. that armor is sick and DA:O doesnt look that bad either.

just to clarify in order to get the armor do i need to buy the collectors edition, the regular edition or just pre-order a copy of either edition. i want to spend as least as possible since there are LOADS of other games on my wishlist.

I don't have a quote, but I believe you can buy the regular edition and still get the ME2 armor, as long as its new, and not used.

If I read correct, all new copies of Dragon Age will come with the code for the armor on a card inside the case. Not on the disc, or given to you by an employee of your store of choice. This should be going on for at least the first shipment, if not longer.

Also anyone who wants the pre-order items can purchase them seperately.

This info was on this sites news page a few days back. Check that before taking my comment 100%. My memory is a bit iffy on it.

No. Just buy a NEW retail copy and you will be able to download the armor with no problems. You can also use the armor in Dragon Age.

Quote:
Seems like there may be some confusion regarding our pre-order. To clarify, anyone that purchases a new copy of Dragon Age: Origins (original or Collector’s Edition, via pre-order or at launch, digital download or retail) will receive a code to download the Blood Dragon Armor, a set of themed armor that will give the player additional protection in combat. This armor will be available in Dragon Age: Origins on any platform. It can be used in both Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2. The armor is platform agnostic – meaning, for example, if someone buys the PC version of Dragon Age: Origins they will be able to download the armor for every available platform of Mass Effect 2.

The Stone Prisoner download pack featuring Shale will be available at no additional cost to all players who purchase a new copy of Dragon Age: Origins, whether it be on PC, Xbox 360 or PS3, the original version or Collector’s Edition, via pre-order or at launch, digital download or retail.

Pre-order is not required to access the bonus content of the Blood Dragon Armor or The Stone Prisoner.

I pre-ordered my Dragon Age: Origins CE before the armor for ME2 was announced, I was getting the game either way, but the Dragon Armor for Shepard is a nice added touch and sweetens and seals the deal!

That is some bad ass armor right there. I was going to end up getting both Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2, but this just pretty much sealed the deal for me.

Nice find!

Theres one thing I'm a little confused about. Does the copy of Dragon Age have to be on the Xbox 360, for me to unlock the Dragon Armour in ME2?

I was planning on getting both, but Dragon Age: Origins for the PS3, and ME2 for Xbox. So would this stop me from getting the armour?

i would think u'd need to buy DA for the 360 since the ps3 version wont transfer the armor over to mass effect on the 360. then again im pretty sure the armor will still be in DA(ps3) so as long as u have it, it may still transfer over.

if i were u i'd just get the 360 version since it will probably run smoother (like most multi-platfrom games) and its a garuntee that the armor will transfer over to mass 2.

unfortunately it looks like u will have to buy the collectors edition in order to get the ME2 armor. not just a new regular edition as many people from this thread thought.

here's a quote from one of the MODS at the mass effect website:

"We can now reveal that it will be an exclusive set of armor that will only be available to people who purchase the Dragon Age: Origins CE. The armor is NOT platform dependant. If you buy a PC Dragon Age: Origins, but want to play a 360 Mass Effect 2, you will be able to do so and get the armor for whichever system you prefer."

well i guess im not getting the armor. im on the edge about this game but was gonna buy the regular edition mainly for the ME2 armor. but the collectors edition is too much for a game im not crazy about.

im unsure about this game(DA) because
cons:
-its set in the medevil era which for me is a turn off.
-there doesnt seem to be any guns. instead its just swords and arrows
-i hated oblivion and this game seems to have the same tone
-the gameplay looks uninteresting to me.
pros:
-its bioware
-its an rpg
-mass 2 armor

correct me if im wrong about my "cons"

Corrected.

But yeah, that armour looks so sexy, I pre-ordered the DA CE a while ago and can't wait for both games. Although Mass Effect 2 is obviously going to be a billion times better than most other games.

It's really amazing to me how I thought the graphics in the first game were so amazing (other than the random texture issues) and they stepped it up so perfectly for this one.

Looks like people are finally starting to really tap into the power of the 360 hardware...finally.

According to most developers they have said they tapped out the 360's power. EA Europe was the first to come out and said they tapped out the 360's potential and can't go any further with it. Which leads me to believe that maybe the rumors about a beefier 360 coming Fall 2010 are true.

So is it really only on the CE of DA:O. Cause I went to my local video rental place and they had codes in there regular edition. Also, is this limited to only one GT?

yes very cool armor indeed. got this when i bought my new copy of dragon age. also came with dlc that they are charging 15 dollars for on the marketplace. got it on sale for 40 dollars as well. great deal! this is how i think the armor works. you get a piece of the armor towards the beginning of dragon age. you might have to buy it at a shop. then you can collect or buy the rest of the pieces to have the full set of armor. then once you get mass effect 2 that armor will unlock for it if you have a dragon age origins save file with the full blood dragon armor. so the armor is available in dragon age and mass effect 2. im not sure but i think that the blood dragon armor looks different in dragon age than it will look in mass effect 2. thats all i know at the moment but i hope that this info will help some ppl out who have ?'s about how the armor works.
