Oooh crap I'm so sorry, I clicked on the wrong link. This was supposed to be in the "Rate the last movie you saw" thread. My bad everyone.

On topic.... I'm currently listening to Adele, album is titled 21. She has an amazing voice. I got the cd 2 days ago and have listened to it about 7 times since then.

I picked up Wild Orchid Children's album The Wild Orchid Children Are Alexander Supertramp last night...It's awesome.

Anything with members of Gatsbys American Dream is pretty much a delight.

I'm going old school with this album I've been listening to a lot lately.

The Second Stage Turbine Blade from Coheed and Cambria. Coheed is probably my favorite band of all time and this was their first album, oldie but one of their best in my opinion, really should give them a listen if you've never heard them.

Here's a few of my favorite songs off the album:

EDIT
: You're going to have to watch them on youtube because the user doesn't allow embedding sorry.

I've been on a Kid Cudi craze lately. This is one of my favorites right now:
In the beginning of the song, the girls voice is saying "paint the black hole blacker" thought it was a cool fun fact.
Hopefully I'll be going to one of his concerts in April.

Brilliant album! My favourite on that one is Everything Evil; I love that song. Oh how much they've changed over the years!

I'm listening to these two albums quite a lot at the moment:

First is Among the Oak & Ash by... Among the Oak & Ash. Their version of Shady Grove is played on one of the radio shows in Alan Wake, and it's fantastic. I usually like most versions of this song that I hear, but this one's very nice indeed. Great folk album on the whole.

Second is Score to a New Beginning by Fairyland. It's a brilliant symphonic power metal album, along the lines of Rhapsody of Fire, Symphony X, Nightwish, Avantasia etc.

This song should be on Dragon Age II...

Would you say they've changed for better or for worse? I think that their best was right after their second album. The third one got a little more darker and hardcore, it sounded good though. Their forth and fifth in my opinion just aren't that good at all.

At first they changed for the better: the second album had moments of perfection, but on the whole it wasn't quite there; but the third album was incredibly strong throughout the whole thing.

To be honest I haven't listened to much of their fourth or fifth because, like you say, they're just not up at the same level as their first three - which is a damn shame as Claudio is a genius of a songwriter.

There are only about five or six songs combined from their fourth and fifth album that I love all the others are just kinda....there.

If they do another album they need to go back to their Shabutie days. Ever heard any of the music from back then? Very different sound. You'd say to yourself, "Who the hell is this??" In a good way though.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

I've been occasionally listening to this every now and then, it's by far my favorite album of 2010!

I'm not sure what my favorite song is, there's too many to pick from
Though my favorite 5 tracks of the album would have to be:
Dark Fantasy
All of the Lights
Monster
Runaway
Blame Game

And my favorite off-album track would be the official Power Remix feat. Jay-Z!

I've heard a few tracks here and there. Different sound in a way yes, but some of it also reminds me of the IKSoSE3 feel.

Kind of an odd combination (two hardcore, two pop-punk), but I'm happy with it.

As for Coheed and Cambria, I used to be a huge fan (note my username ), but their last album was just a mess... There was only one song I actually liked ("Far"), whereas I liked every song on The Second Stage Turbine Blade and most of the songs on In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth, and everything I've heard by them as Shabutie was fantastic. To me, it just seems like they lost what made them unique in the first place for a more widely appealing sound...

I'm currently listening to the album "Censored Colors" by "Portugal. The Man." I love this album and this band for many reasons. The lead vocalist John Gourley has an amazing voice and definitely knows how to use it. Their music is very accessible, drawing fans from many different genres. Their organization of sound cannot be pigeonholed into one category, although "alternative" fits most closely. I have a deep love for well written lyrics, and Portugal does provide just that. An example of their wordplay is: "I'm not afraid to die,
'cause all these colors will change.

All the low is still low,
and all the high still get high.
how I wish we could dance,
but all these rhythms don't seem to match up,
seem to match up..."

I recently discovered Enter Shikari and have been listening to their album "Common Dreads".

It's pretty amazing, especially the tracks Juggernauts, Walls, and Hectic.

Juggernauts is a fantastic song :P

Anyhow, my time has been consumed with Breaking Benjamin's "Phobia", Skrillex's "Scary Monsters and Nice Spirites", and Deadmau5' latest album, which i can't remember the name of.

I just started listening to Bullet For My Valentine about a month ago, and love true new album. Will be checking out Scream Aim Fire from them real soon. However I am starting to get on an 80's metal kick so I am continuing to rock with Metallica's ... And Justice For All which is probably among my top 3 albums ever. I'm going to start a collection of some Iron Maiden, All That Remains, and Apocolyptica soon as well

If your into the blues you'll love the album Best of the Blues - Gary Moore.
It's a 2 disc greatest hits CD featuring artists such as Albert King, B.B. King, Albert Collins & more. Disc 1 has songs from the studio and Disc 2 is all live.
It's just a badass album you should definitely check it out.

RIP Gary Moore April 4th 1952 – February 6 2011
