I just grabbed two new CD's.

Black Dahlia Murder: "Deflorate" - I'm not sure what to think of this one. I mean, it's a really good, solid album (better than I previously assumed), but it's very different since they got a new guitarist, seems a bit more toned down and like something is missing. Still though, I'd recommend this one if you're a fan of their album "Nocturnal".

This track is my personal favorite,
YouTube- The Black Dahlia Murder - Black Valor

The other one I grabbed and that I'm listening to at the moment is Obscura: "Cosmogenesis" - So far it's really good. Very technical and just all around well put together. Recommended if you're a fan of tech-death metal also highly recommended if you're a fan of the band Death.

This is all I could find,
YouTube- Obscura - Incarnated

The album I am currently listening to is;

A Death Grip On Yesterday by Atreyu

Basically the reason I am listening to this album is because I love the band Atreyu, also to add to that I felt like listening to some of their older stuff, and if you don't know they recently released their newest album Congregation of the Damned.

I've been listening to a lot of Scissor Sisters lately, going back and forth between their two albums: Scissor Sisters (original title) and Ta-Dah.

I've been listening to nothing but metal lately so it's been wicked to go back and throw some Smashing Pumpkins back on.

Adore, Siamese Dream & Mellon Collie pretty much saw me through the whole of puberty. It's like hearing them all again for the first time, sensational.

Because it's just amazing

i've been mainly listening too: Trapped Under Ice, For Whom The Bell Tolls, Creeping Death, Fight Fire With Fire, Ride The Lightning

Fight Fire With Fire has got to be the most fast, aggressive and damn heavy open riff ever!

Also i'm listening to this:

My personal favourite Metallica album though it's a hard cuz Ride is amazing also!

i've mainly been listening to The Shortest Straw, Blackened and ...And Justice For All

i just love the raw, rough, pissed off vibe that the album has obviously because they were pissed off at the death of the amazing Cliff Burton.

Apart from the Brian Eno fest I had last night I've been listening to only two albums really.

This is Emmy The Great's album. Its pretty sweet, its like a more lyrically direct version of Laura Marling. She's got a lovely voice too, one of the best folky albums I've heard this year.

This is Copia by a guy called Eluvium. Its like post-rock kind of meanderings. Very nice and relaxing.

Wicked album, I've got a lot to thank it for musically. It must have easily been about six or seven years ago I heard it and worked out Radio Ballet on guitar. Completely changed the way I played.

Yes i disagree. But that's only my opinion of course. Sehnsucht and Herzeleid are my favs. Followed by Mutter, Reise, Reise then Leibe ist. Rosenrot their worst (Reise, Reise b-side album from what i heard.)

Right now I'm listening to Trivium's Shogun. I'm am just amazed at the quality of this album. Ripping guitars, amazing solos, amazing dueling guitar parts, fast/precise drumming, haunting and just downright amazing vocals/lyrics. It just goes to show you that you don't have to be a veteran musician to put out a 5 star album.
Yeah Burn my eyes is such a brilliant album from start to finish. IMO for some reason i always believed that The Burning Red was down to Road Runner trying to push them in a new direction, which was nu-metal (hugely popular at the time with KoRn and Deftones). Supercharger was a peice of rubbish. But i agree with what you say, they quickly got back to their best with Ashes of Empires and The Blackening.

Seen Trivium in concert not that long ago, but to be honest i was there just to see Heaven Shall Burn. They are a brilliant deathcore/metalcore (whatever people call it these days lol) band from Germany

Counterweight -
Endzeit -

Enjoy

That's not your opinion fella, that is the reason Machine Head slipped into nu-metal. I hate to say it, but I totally agree with what Kerry King said, when he said they sold-out, because they did, but, unlike most sell-outs, Machine Head dragged themselves out of it and were an incredible band again.

I like to call them Germancore. I consider them to be in the same boat as Caliban, at the top of the German Metalcore food chain.

I wish Nile's new album was as good as Annihilation of the Wicked.

As for me, I'm listening to THIS ferocious animal.

My only problem with Meshuggah is that they get SO boring after a while.

Picked up Deadmou5's "For Lack of a Better Name" album, very surprised by how good it was. I loved "Ghosts N' Stuff" and everything else on it stood up on the same level. Going to get "Random Album Title" soon as well now.

Not usually my type of music, but for some reason AFI's Crash Love is getting a lot of listens... I've only ever liked a few of their songs before but this whole album is great (including the 4 bonus tracks)

Also, I really like the cover

I just got my hands on Linkin Park's fan club CD "Linkin Park Underground 9.0."

It's amazing. Although it consists mostly of demos, it does have one song that didn't make the cut into Minutes to Midnight.

Here's that song.

Been listening to loads of diff stuff lately. Since playing Beatles RB I've gotten into them a lot more... call me ignorant but I never realised how many of their songs I knew! Which is most of the ones on their game.

Also been listening to Bigwig, Botch, Architects, Thrice, J5, Dr Dre, GUTG.

And I saw The Specials on Sunday night, which was just epic!

Oh and good call on Black Dahlia Murder up there ^^

Today, I've been listening to "Kill" by Cannibal Corpse. Now, I hate Cannibal Corpse, I really do, I think they're overrated, boring, and really not too good at writing music. However, I fucking love Kill, there's just something about it that makes my adrenaline go crazy and makes me want to go bash someones face in with a sledgehammer. It really is IMO the perfect soundtrack to a killing spree. Personal favourite is the opening track "The Time to Kill is Now", mainly because the first time I owned this record, I had the CD player on full blast when it first got played. The song started and I nearly shit my pants... and so did my mum... and my sister.

"The Time to Kill is Now"
