Achievement Guide V2

Overview

- Estimated achievement difficulty: 5/10
- Offline: 47
- Online: 0
- Approximate amount of time to 1000: 15-25 hours
- Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1
- Number of missable achievements: 3*
- Glitched achievements: N/A
- Do cheat codes disable achievements? N/A
- Does difficulty affect achievements? N/A

Update:

28th August - Writing out walkthroughs for the secret achievements.

Achievement Guide

Big Bang 50
Complete story mode on Easy difficulty

( See ‘Biggest Bang Achievement’)

Bigger Bang 50
Complete story mode on Normal difficulty

( See ‘Biggest Bang Achievement’)

Biggest Bang 50
Complete story mode on Hard difficulty

These Achievements are stackable.
I’d recommend doing the game on normal first, complete the Riddler Challenges and then move onto Hard.

Party Pooper 10
Time to break up this party

(*This Achievement is Missable!)

During the game, there is a scene in which you are invited to the Joker’s party, you must kill the goons outside and also the goons clapping inside.

Freeflow combo 5 5
Complete a combo of 5 moves (any play mode)

See ‘Freeflow Combo 40

Freeflow combo 10 5
Complete a combo of 10 moves (any play mode)

See ‘Freeflow Combo 40

Freeflow Combo 20 10
Complete a combo of 20 moves (any play mode)

See ‘Freeflow Combo 40

Freeflow Combo 40 10
Complete a combo of 40 moves (any play mode)

I got this achievement at the point in the game where the goons are attacking the batmobile, the main thing you should be doing is keep dodging and attacking whilst keeping up the combo, don’t try and work on any individual goon but rather work around the whole group.

Night Glider 5
Glide continuously for over 100m

The easiest place to get this is on top of Arkham Mansion at the highest point and glide down from there.

Rope-A-Dope-A-Dope 10
String up one henchman and drop him to surprise a second (any play mode)

Make sure you have "Inverted Takedown" from the upgrade menu, in the room after the Victor Zsasz encounter, hang from one of the gargoyles and when prompted use the takedown on a passing goon, grapple to another gargoyle, and then when the other goons come to investigate use the batarang on the string of the strung up goon.

Mano-A-Mano 10
Take on a beast in hand to hand combat

For this achievement DO NOT use the batarang to blind the titans.
The simple tactic is to make one of the titans charge at you, dodging that and then progressing to attack the other titan whilst the stunned titan cannot attack you, just repeat this process, till the titans are knocked out.

Catch! 5
Catch a Batarang (any play mode)

To get this achievement, all you need to do is get the remote control batarang upgrade from the upgrade menu, I did this achievement in the batcave, but it’s far easier done outside whilst standing on one of the guard towers, you have position yourself so that the batarang will curl back to you.

Freakshow Rodeo 10
Ride a beast and unleash its power

(*This Achievement is Missable!)

This achievement is attainable by climbing onto a knocked out titan and knocking down 10 enemies. To do this keep using the batarang to stun the titan and when the prompted to climb onto it and knock down the 10 enemies.

Perfect Knight 75
100% Complete

- Beat the game
- Achieve 24 medals on combat challenges
- Achieve 24 medals on predator challenges
- Solve every riddle on the island

Poisoned Ivy 50
Defeat the giant Titan Ivy plant

Impossible to miss through story progression.

'The Poison Ivy / Titan Plant boss battle is part of the main story, so it's unmissable.

Making sure you have fully upgraded your armour, and upgraded your batarang so it causes greater damage will make this battle slightly easier.

The battle is split in to two parts.

PART 1
The first part consists of 2 or 3 sets of 2 vines rising out of the ground, followed by Ivy firing spore balls at your position.

When Ivy's vines are attacking, watch for where the grass lines appear. Standing in the middle means you can dodge (douple tap A) to either side, and while the vines are up use your batarang (tap LT) to inflict a little damage. Try and make sure you are not near the grass, as sometimes you can get caught even if you think you are clear.

When Poison Ivy fires the spore balls, make sure you have the whole width of the ground to run along. Run as she fires the first (hold A), then as she fires the second use the batarang (tap LT) to hit her opened shell, followed by a dodge (double tap A) to make sure it misses and you avoid the third and fourth. Each time you hit her and the sequence ends, she will fire several spores which you should just focus on avoiding; and running back to the side to attack again. This approach meant I didn't lose any health to the spore balls; just to those damn vines!

PART 2
Once she has lost her health the first time, and you have planted the explosives; you will have to attack her again. The game will helpfully give you back some of your health.

At this point, goons will attack you at the same time as the vines.

Try to run around so that the vines attack the goons that follow you around, and leave you in an area free of vines and goons so that you can use your batarang on Ivy. It only takes a tiny bit of her health each time, but you should be aiming to reduce her health by half in this first attack.

If you find yourself in a grassy area, use the dodge (double tap A) to jump over the goons and to safety.

Should you find yourself safe from the vines but with a couple of goons, it is better to focus on killing them and saving your health than hitting Ivy. Also, if you are waiting for a vine attack take the opportunity to attack the goons.

Using this approach should mean Ivy loses around half her health by the time the goons are all killed. The spore attack sequence that follows is exactly the same as previously; and exactly the same run, throw, dodge method can be used. If you can hit her every time, you should find that when the goons start to reappear, she only takes just a couple of hits to beat.

Great start... obviously still needs adding to. Things like the rope a dope, say which level or where abouts. On the combat ones, what are all the moves?

The other thread kinda got created early and then ignored, so keep up the work and expand as much as possible. Also, point out which 3 achieves can be missed

That i did, mainly because i didn't want him to feel like he wasted his time, i did give him credit if you read the credits, the videos are to add visual aid to those who learn better from visual examples.

Regarding Crack the E Nigma, I think you need to make clear that the thread linked to only covers the location-based riddles, not the other Riddler Challenges that count towards completion. The game is a bit confusing in that it counts trophies as riddles, despite there being actual riddles to solve.

In other words, we still need a thread with locations of all the interview tapes, trophies and Chronicles of Arkham.

Biggest Bang 50
Complete story mode on Hard difficulty

These Achievements are stackable, Id recommend doing the game on normal first and then leaving Hard the last thing you do.

I know, its your recommendation, but Hard isn't that Hard at all (missing counter, who cares bout that ^^). Shouldn't be a big problem to finish the game on Hard

I always find doing collectable achievements on the easiest or the difficulty i feel comfortable with more useful, feel free to contribute some tips on hard mode, as i yet to start it.

Any achievements missable in this game?? I'm thinking of starting it today, but I'd like to know if there's any way to screw myself over on anything. I saw a post by Minty saying you can miss 3 of 'em, and another rebutting that and saying you can do that in challenge mode so I'm not sure what you can miss.

No disrespect to the author of the guide, but this is not a Nice - Good -or Great guide. It has no detail what-so-ever. I know the game just came out. But for everyone to be saying that its great - nice or good. .. . pleeeeease. This site has way better detailed guides on it.

As far as i remember, the room was in the south. You aquired the Hack Tool there and there's the Colonel with a puppet behind a glass.

There should be a prisoner, too.

Considering this game just came out YESTERDAY I'd say it's a pretty good guide so far. Why don't you stop being such a douche. I'm sure if you got stuck on an achievement today, this is the thread you'd come to because there isn't an alternative. If you're going to be so critical, why don't you make a full guide, in one day, of better quality and then we'll compare.

Well it could also be his first guide so cut him some slack , i knew about the detailed guides when i made my first one and needless to say i did quite horrible in terms of formatting, the font i used, no roadmap , etc

Unless you can show us up with a detailed guide ... THAT YOU MADE ... then please keep your criticism to yourself

However i do hope the Guide Maker is planning on getting the game , i took a look at his gamercard and he doesnt have it listed ... so that totally has me pondering on the information he put on the roadmap , how does he know itll only take us about 15 hours to get 1000 and how difficult it will be if he hasnt done it himself , skill varies between others

Anyway , nice guide. Good Start ill be using this when i borrow the game from my friend when hes done with it so hopefully its 100% complete by then. I recommend not having the Roadmap information centered though, it just doesnt look right to me. And then dont forget you need to add steps to the roadmap. Im sure you already know this , but just a remainder so you can have an awesome guide from this so people like Uncle Rawkus cant bring you down about it

Telenova's Gamercard
Thanks for the input guys, this is my first guide, so i'm still getting my head around it. I do own the game and i'm halfway playing on hard, i'm using my alt account as the game hasn't offically been released in the UK yet, i don't want to chance it on my main.
