Any place to sell a broken Xbox 360?

After a recent thread on this website, I decided that I am going to attempt to sell my Xbox rather than throw it away.

Does anybody know a place which will buy a broken Xbox with the E74 error?
If so please share.
Thanks guys

Why don't you just strip out the parts that are still worth something and keep them for whenever something on your new console breaks?

What is worth salvaging from inside bar the DVD-ROM drive? You have to know what to do with it to use it in another machine anyway.

He may as well just keep all of it as it is, send it to MS for repair, pay someone to reflow the board or sell it as it is with E74 on eBay.

sell it on ebay, you could make anywhere from $15-60... i have seen elites go for $60+ without hard drives/controllers/wires

Depends if you are just looking to make a few bucks off of it. You could sell it on ebay or buy a kit to fix it and sell a working xbox for more than a broken one and maybe turn a small profit...or just keep it as a back up, that's what I did.

ebay is a fast and easy way to sell your xbox if you know how to protect yourself from scammers - you might make more selling it in bits, in the uk you can go to xboxpcpro.co.uk and they will give you 20 for it

Every console connected device has a certain S/N certification which cannot be used on a different motherboard.

As you can see from my signature, I've dealt with two broken boxes. One (E74) I just sold outright on eBay and got maybe $50 for it. On the second box, I took it all apart and sold the motherboard, fan, cords, housing, and disc drive separate, and I probably got $110 after all associated fees. If you have the ability/knowledge to take apart the Xbox and have the time to sell each item, I'd recommend it.

ebay

but make sure it's listed as spares only.

otherwise people will bid on it hoping they get a cheap xbox.

Try your luck on ebay but watch for the cost to ship it out of the country
