Awards Showcase Submit - Bronze
Total Awards: 1 (more» ...)
Thumbs up Achievement Guide

Fledgling Marker 15
Defeat a total of 5 QIX.

See Master Marker below.

Expert Marker10 Defeat a total of 30 QIX.

See Master Marker below.

Master Marker 15
Defeat a total of 100 QIX.

Clear at least the goal percentage 100 times. Easiest on Section 1. Just keep doing the first four waves quickly, and then dying. Only upgrade your cutter/speed for this, as more shield = more time to die.

Understated Marker 15
Defeat a total of 100 Sparx and Pawns.

Sparx are the glowing red enemies that trace the outside of the course. To defeat them clear the area they are on. Should easily get this while going for Master Marker. Pawns (I think) are the bullets / green squares around the second enemy section 1.

Combat Rookie 15
Obtain 30 points in Ranked Match.

No one seems to be playing online ATM, so right now I have no clue.

Combat Specialist 25
Obtain 300 points in Ranked Match.

No one seems to be playing online ATM, so right now I have no clue.

Precision Instrument 20
Reach a Cleared % of 95% or higher on eight separate stages.

Start off by trying to get 50% of the stage right at the start. Then keep making small rectangles, cutting the 50% you have ALMOST in half. Just leave enough so that it doesn't actually close off. This should close the Qix in a small area. Now keep using the small rectangle method until you have the Qix in a very small spot, then close it off.

Alternatively, get the item that makes the Qix small, and then get the freeze time item and quickly make a rectangle beside the Qix. Then enclose it in a tiny rectangle.

Do this 8 times, on 8 different stages, at any time. This can be done at any time. Also, the smaller the area you get the Qix in, the smaller the Qix will eventually get overtime.

Golden Marker 15
Upgraded every Customize Screen parameter to the maximum level.

To do this you will have to get around 90% for the first seven stages in a section. Easiest to do on Section 1. I suggest upgrading cutter and shield first and then doing speed/luck.

Section 1 Champion 15
Cleared Section 1.

Clear all 8 stages/Qix in Section 1. Simple enough.

Section 2 Champion 15
Cleared Section 2.

Clear all 8 stages/Qix in Section 2. Pretty simple, the final stage has an exclusive Qix, that can be taking out very quickly at the start of the stage usually.

Top Notch Success 20
Gained 2,000,000 points in any Section.

See Truly Magnificent Deed below.

Truly Magnificent Deed 30
Gain 3,000,000 points in any Section.

Easiest done in Section 1. Try to get the highest percentage possible for each stage. 96% and above will provide you with 300,000-500,000 bonus points per stage/Qix. You should be able to obtain around 4,000,000 points if you are damned near perfect. Make sure you get any bonus points you can get inside the boxes, as every little bit helps. Use the rectangle method used in Precision Instrument above.

Other than that, anyone for some ranked? Video review/tips coming soon. More explanation on 'the rectangle method'.

Nice guide.

I managed to find a few ranked matches last night. I can verify that the points you need to reach (30/300) are cumulative. I played against "Yeadude" (the #1 ranked player) and got 7 points for getting second place in each of four matches. I played another match against someone else and passed 30 points. The achievement popped after the match was over and the points were tallied. So you don't need to win or remain in one session or anything.

Does "Luck" actually do anything? I try to upgrade shields and cutter first, then Speed and lastly Luck.

Just go to youtube and type in jezzball. Jezzball is a copy of qix. Use the methods shown there.

Agreed, youtube vids are definitely needed here to clear up "Precision Instrument." Once that achievement is obtained, many more should follow.

Getting 95% is not very hard. It's just a matter of trapping the quix and making them shrink. Or having them shrink immediately by powerup and closing them in. There is a video on youtube made by hairy cabbage showing how to get 3mil.

Is there a way to see which levels I've beaten with 95+%? They don't have to be in one stage (one sitting) do they?

Also, versus mode specs:
10 points for first,
7 points for second,
5 points for third,
3 points for fourth.
Ranking is determined by points. Highest point score wins first.
There's always 4 players (null seats are controlled by a VERY annoying AI.
Total points are kept online (and can be viewed by the leaderboard).

Actually your last part is completely wrong. The winner is the one who gets the final percent to get to or over 90% I know this because i won with 1614 and 9.6 percent.

The ranked matches are easily boostable with just 2 people and no cpu players. One person should create a ranked match with the following settings: Shield 7 / Stage 3 / Cpu Lv Off and then click Session Making. Their boosting buddy should then search for a custom ranked match with those settings, join the lobby and ready up before anyone else joins.

Finish the level as fast as you can and the winner will get 10 points and the loser will get 7 points. Play all 3 rounds and repeat the above and you should both have the 2 achievements in around 30 minutes.
