Braaaaaaaains?

Just a quick question - I read on the guide that I shouldn't collect the Zombie Brains until I need them in order for the achievements...no real problem there!

But...

If I kill the zombies and leave the brains lying around - then save and quit the game, will the brains remain on the floor when I reload the game?

I don't think so, but they WILL be there if you just ignore them for a while, grab the quest and come back to the area. So just get the quest ASAP.

Yea you have to activate this quest by finding it yourself, so you should do this ASAP so you can collect brains while doing the main quests. I didnt know about this until I finished them all, and havent gotten around to collecting them.

But why should you not collect any until the mission begins?
They don't count towards it?

exactly. Brains don't count until you activate the quest to collect them. So, as others have said, follow the guide to locate the leg to give to TK to enable the quest.

This one is best done with a party. Splitting up into different areas of the map keeping one person back to turn in and fight zombies there.

Dammit all...that's what I did; kept picking them up as soon as I fast travelled there. What a waste of time!

You'll want to turn in your brains as soon as you have the appropriate amount collected. Any extra brains you pick up WILL NOT count towards the next brain collecting quest, it must be activated first!

Do you have to do the mission where T.K. is dead or can you just go to Jakob's Cove and unlock it?

Basically near where you killed Pumpkinhead ..... ,Look for a big sign that says "Fyrestone" (or a "piss off" lol") and a cutscene showing his leg will appear .... then go inside and "talk" to zombified TK ... then you'll get a quest called "Brains" and collect 10, then 20, etc.

Not a bad achievement, just annoying that unless you know where he is...its difficult to stumble upon him by accident.

I went my first playthrough without ever finding him. Had to go look up his location to start it and spend the time farming it mission. Once I knew where he was, I make an effort to go strait to him get mission, complete the first part (since its so quick) and then get the rest as I run through. After several times through doing it this way, I get enough brains to have the mission complete before finishing expansion or I'm close enough that only a little farming is needed.

No. Weapons, money, ammo, class mods, grenade mods, etc don't remain on the ground after quitting, why would the brains remain?

Seriously, just get the quest as soon as you enter the area, and complete the first few missions by killing some zombies in the area. Then continue the story. I did this and by the end of the story, all I had to do was the last mission, which was already 60/250.

250 is the last one.

I'm getting quite good at getting the Zombies to drop brains now, I've just finished up the last story mission and I'm at 105/250, then on to the next DLC.

When I did this DLC, I actually finished the entire thing before figuring out how to get the Brains quest line lol. I spent the next few hours farming brains for that stupid achievement Fortunately, I was doing Playthrough 1 with a level 64, so it was pretty easy. It was just really time consuming o_O

Speaking of this achievement, but on somewhat of a side note, can a moderator possible change the desciption for the achievements "House Of The Ned" and "Braaaaaaaaaaaaains!" so that they actually make sense? It confused me like crazy when it said "Completed the House of the Ned mission" for the "Braaaaaaaaaaaaaains!" Achievement. Thanks!

I've been playing co-op with my girlfriend, and when we started this dlc (playthrough 1) it wasn't leveled with our characters (it was ~30 and we were ~42). That made this achievement so much more bearable though! We both used very fast firing guns so we could just get lots of headshots quickly, and were able to do it easily. I highly recommend it if you're on playthrough 2, just go back to playthrough 1 to do this!

What I did was just picked up this mission, then went on with my others while trying to get the brains. Made it a little less boring.

i'm actually quite annoyed, this is the only damn mission/achievement i dont have for this and now i have to go out and buy it again just for ONE STUPID ACHIEVEMENT! i had borrowed the disk with mad moxxies etc. and zombie island and installed it, this was when i had a diff xbox. and i got a newish one and the disc was taken back so i cant friggin install it again. so now i gotta go locate the GOTY disc which is near impossible to find unless online. this blows
