I found this game was a little too easy. Just felt like a very toned down version of DMC...

I found it pretty challenging. But I'm not to good at this kind of games. Always looks like I'm playing Bayonetta with a racing wheel.

True true. Just because there are games harder than this doesn't make this an easy one.

Well, finally I can also put my 2 cent to this.
I'd say it's clearly not a easy 1000 for casual gamers but also not a hard one. Don't be afraid of Hard, Infinite Climax Difficulty & Alfheim Challenges. It's DOABLE once you getting used to the enemies pattern and learned how to dodge & counter actively. Plus use every useful info in this very forum and you'll be on your 100% completion in no time.

So for everyone who is reading this, JUST GIVE IT A DAMN TRY. Bayonetta deserves to get raped by your combos.

Thumbs up

Hard no. but the difficulty it puts it into an average hack n slayers league to full 1K it in about 30-40 hrs with some time and effort. Its very doable for most, unlike Ninja Gaiden & Devil May Cry which btw ive completed

Bayonetta is Fantucking-tastic game and can't wait for the sequel

Getting to 1000 was easier than most games. However, I think it is one of the best games I've played just because it is so much fun!

For some reason i find the story mode really hard and difficult i think its gruelling and challenging at some points, guess it makes a good game though!

Fairly easy. I was afraid that the harder difficulties would be tough, but once you farm enough halos to buy the broken accessories at the telephone booths, its actually a piece of cake. A fun and easy game to play, which is more than I can say for DMC4. I dont mind that DMC4 is hard, its just that the gameplay isnt as enjoyable as past DMCs.

I found Bayonetta easy to 1000/1000. What bugs me is the fact that doing 1000/1000 doesn't mean you did 100% in the game. Basically, you did almost everything, but they should have added an achievement for the extra boss fight (I hope you guys know who I'm talking about, I won't post spoilers here! ).

My gf just picked this game up for me, I sucked at dmc so I'm assuming I'm still going to struggle through it, but isn't the point of getting 100% to prove you are good at the game not just that the game is easy... Just sayin...

I reckon the achievements are only easy in comparison to the game itself and the expectations around its achievement-challenge as opposed to overall game challenge.

With strong ties to Devil may Cry and also similarities to Ninja Gaiden 2 (hardcore-hack-and-slash) the difficulty level would equate to them, which it does gameplay wise but not so much achievement-wise as as the list doesn't utilize everything content-wise. For example not beating Father Rodin cheevo, or purchase everything in his shop, no unlockable characters cheevos. Nevertheless it still poses a challenge to many but leaves some extra challenge for the hardcores and fans.

It was kinda easy, but I've been playing games like Devil May Cry for a long time so it was a given. Newer players may find a bit troubling, especiaully on the harder difficulties.

Same Here. Thought it would be harder to play on infinite but it wasn't at all.
Still some alfheim missions gave me headache ._.

Either I suck or you guys are using some cheep trick because I find this game semi frustrating and by no means would I call it an 'easy' 1000 just because it doesn't take that long to max out. Then again, I don't have my head in a walk-through 24/7 looking for strategies for every fight.

I think the bosses are harder on this game than to dmc4 due to the fact that you cant just hack and slash all the way through.
They have set patterns you have to wait while they attack and you take zero damage of em even if you smashing them to bits.
The games gets a bit boring when your on ur 5th play through due to way to many boss fights and the same bosses over and over again.
Didnt 1000 dmc 4 not that i tired but i felt it was easier maybe because it was a more polished and better game everything just clicked with this it doesn't.
I got a feeling its to do with the boss fights they just don't cut it for me. 5 to a level.

I agree, itīs not very hard. It would have been a lot harder if beating the īLost Chapterī was an achievement, or getting Platinum on every chapter (normal or harder).

In the end what it all boils down to is the player's ability to use Bayonetta's arsenal efficiently.

While I haven't gotten around to 1k'ing this game (I blame Demon's Souls for the delay) Bayonetta is a great game for both veterans and newcomers to the genre mainly due to the automatic system Platinum placed in the game at easier levels.

If you take the time to learn the in's and out's of the combat system and you'll have a much easier time than someone who runs into a fight mashing the & buttons.

Bayonetta was definitely a simpler 1000 than any of the other hack n slash games I've played. DMC4's achievements are on a whole different level so I'm not sure about the people saying its easier to complete.

There is definitely a learning curve if you're new to the genre, but imo this is a good way to introduce yourself to it and work your way up to more complex ones.
