Link to the Rock Band website: http://www.rockbandgame.com
(A really strange official site with almost no information on the game)

More sources of information:
-The OXM Podcast for April 6th (I think?) talks about the game for a while;
not much more than what's been said already....

Check marks when completing a set or song

When in Band world tour when we complete a set or a sond you get a check by it. Some times it a black check and others times it is a orange check... What is the difference? Orange check means you earned fans?

i am pretty sure that the different color checks mean that you completed the song on different difficulties?

Yes...the black check means it was done on easy, bronze is medium, silver is hard, and gold is expert. The instrument on the lowest difficulty determines the check color.

I'm glad they found a surefire system, other than GH's, where the difficulty for the lead determined the overall difficulty.

That's not the way it is...

It's exactly the same way in GH as it is in Rock Band.
