Cheers so you found a way to get 72,000 kills out of this? Im feeling a little embarrassed now as i was rather confident this method could get the 72k

Im a little unsure now but hopefully it can.

I also froze at loading screen on 48k my last save was at 30k.

That pissed me off so much i just left it for the night.

But the bike kills everything it touches, the SUV doesn't of the 50 zombies you hit you'll prolly kill about 30
with the bike (chainsaws) it would be 50.

But suv is better because of the mag and you don't need to walk to get a chainsaw

1,000 kills an in-game hour is good, isn't it? Since the game actually spans 96+ hours plus overtime.

Well i thought u only got overtime if you done all the cases and it's played separately from the main game???

I'm not sure on that, tbh. Even if that's the case, the main game itself spans 96 hours. Honestly though, using the SUV seems like the only genuine tactic when approaching this achievement.

A word of warning though. I got a freeze at loading screen so i recommend ppl save at every 10k.

I lost 18k cause of it.

I had this twice, and on both occasions Leon was running around and I was going from Yucatan Casino back on to the Strip.

Possible glitch? I know that it did this twice, then once I re-loaded and killed him without leaving the area it didn't do it again...

Flippin' Day 4 Food Court Glitch rises again :\

I was going into Yucatan from the Strip. Once again i wonder what goes through the mind of game designers today.

I'm working on it right now, and it's looking pretty good so far. Obviously I'll be keeping the second video, that deals with getting the SUV book and using the SUV to mow down zombies etc, private until I've actually confirmed it works. The first video is more about the locations of the gambling books, the slot machine, and how fast it can accumulate money for you.

I've been doing a little experimenting, and a slicecycle is definitely better at killing zombies, I'm just not sure if the lower durability and longer running time to fix it up each time is worth it. Also, like the SUV doesn't kill every zombie it hits slightly off-center, the bike has a deadzone in the middle that won't kill unless you're going very fast. Which personally I prefer not to, as it makes controlling the thing too risky.

Angry

Epic Fail!!!

I tried it, got the achievement "Z-GENOCIDER 2: GENOCIDE HARDER" but not the other one, why, cause the game ends @ 64.000 KILLS. ENDING D. Time-Limit reached aka Military Arrival. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

So for all you others out there. DON'T WASTE YOUR FUCKING TIME. Keep on grinding. Btw. I mixed it up. 1000 with the motorcross & 1500 with the SUV. Well next try. Shit happens.

Time Savers:

Instead of entering a casino to respawn the vehicle, you save time if you save your game in the middle of the park then reload that save. Grab the buggy that's close by and drive back to the SUV. You also endure less load time.

After you buy the SUV keys, restart story, then all you need to do is get the driving book and get to the SUV. You now have an extra 4 hours before the 72 hour countdown even begins.

BTW, the slicecycle is infinitely better than the SUV and well worth the hour it takes to get it together. With the bike you kill EVERY zombie you run into, the SUV, if you watch your kill count closely, sucks balls. For every 5 zombies you knock over, 3 - 4 will stand up again. Plow though a pack of 50 and you get maybe 10 kills. Admittedly, I'm only level 32 so as others have already mentioned, attack power may increase the vehicles killing power also.

If I restart the story, can I skip the story missions or do I still have to do them?

You've got to complete the quest you get after giving Katey zombrex for the first time. Can't remember what it's called.

If you're going for 72K kills then yes, skip them all. Don't even collect the zombrex, go straight for the driving magazine then the SUV. Rack up 10K kills, leave the area to get the 'Meet the Contestants' quest, kill Leon then use the bike / chainsaws for the rest of the kills. Or stick with the SUV if you think it'll be fast enough.

Climb the speakers, then onto the cage like thing.

SUV is bad but not that bad, attack stat must affect things.

Bike isn't perfect, as said earlier there's a deadzone with the front wheel zombies bounce off. That said its killing power is vastly superior to everything else in the game outside of a Queen. Bike's only last 1k of kills too before coming apart, but that may be enough....

I've noticed the major zombie clusters you get around major doorways don't respawn, and zombies in general thin out a bit after you've run down a thousand of them, so killing 1k may be all you want to do before ducking back into Yucatan anyway.

Thanks, I did climb up there, but saw nothing. Next try.

And for the 72.000 Kills, THIS REALLY SUCKS ASS. I'm gonna wait for the BEST WAY to appear. Opinions are spread all over Dead Rising 2. Nobody is sure, so I will leave this shit for the very last achievement.

Curious observation, reversing with the SUV seems to be a lot more lethal then using the front end.

Yeah, it's not as bad as I say... maybe 20 - 25 kills out of 50 hits?

The bike can last 20K kills if you get 10x bike books meaning you only have to build it 4 times. Credit goes to the poster for the method:

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/f...d.php?t=261666

That is true. But if you save your game in the middle of the park then reload that save straight after, all the zombies have respawned in their original numbers. This method would only be effective with the SUV though as you'd have to build the bike all over again.

Oh, and there are chainsaws in the maintenance room, right on the strip. Credit to mmartynn, I think.

That chainsaw is twice the distance as the rock stage one, the bike book only opens up by doing Case 3 and that path ignores the two biggest clusters, the arena door and the little alleyway that leads down to the safe house bunker.

I saw your post about the chainsaw and wasn't sure how much climbing / jumping was involved. If it's even closer than the one in the maintenance room, that's even better!

You can invite a friend to co-op who has the book in their inventory, they drop it then leave the game. Invite them again and repeat. This allows you to get the book multiple times and without having to do any cases.

I don't know the best method to get this achievement, I'm just throwing ideas out there.

True, co-op tricks lets you get the book, there's still the thinning out problem.

Something I learnt about the bike before giving up again, it needs speed, otherwise the chainsaws seem to just nudge the zombies over.

Here's a completely mad thought, Queens, once they finally appear they seem to be a lot more common in this game then the last. And there are some serious zombie concentrations they'd just decimate.

Do you remember what time the game ends on the 3rd day? Is it 8am? All I know is that I've been running over zombies for 24 in game hours and only have 21K kills.

Nice! Might be worth getting a queen or two when you get out of your vehicle to save then use them on the clusters you mentioned previously.

I think you're right about the SUV in reverse too.

The 72 hours countdown starts after you give Katey her shot, which takes things to 8am.

And you're in the same boat as me in kills, just can't quite make enough kills.

It's DAY 4 - 12 AM. Then the Ending D Cutscene will come. Game Over.

Yeah this is FUCK. 64.000 Kills and all over again. Well you have at least 4 hours in front IF you don't give Katey her shot. So that's a lil plus.

Here's the first video, the one about earning fast money.

I've also noticed that with the SUV, just like reversing seems to be more lethal, swerving into zombies seems to kill them faster too. May be worth trying that where there's a high concentration of zombies, like doors.

I'm also willing to make a video for the bike book way if someone'll help.
