Cotton Alley

That's some serious shit. Are you going to do this or would you rather stick to 190/200?

I only have a few Dark World levels left to 190GS. I took a peek at those levels in Cotton Alley and quit after 1-3 because it was so ridiculous.

Cotton Alley is all perseverance. Just keep playing each level until you nail the patterns. Level 20 is seriously challenging, though.

I was under the impression that you had to finish the cotton alley dark world to get the 100% cheeb. If not, then I guess I've only got nine stages left until that one. :P But it's not really 100%ing the game if you skip more than a dozen stages, is it?

Personally, I'm wondering why there's a bandage on 7-12X. Collecting it counts towards the total, but it doesn't show up on the map after you get it. =|

beat 7-20 par time not long ago.... went to look at the dark world variant of 7-20... you start up top with a row of saws slowly coming down at you. I assume some new blades are in place along the way down as well. It's not going to be easy haha...

C'mon T0b3. I know you can do it. I'm not that great at this game (Made evident by my weakness on a majority of Dark World Levels), but I've managed to bull through 5 Cotton Alley levels (4 of which with A-Rank).

I've noticed, like N+, that this game really tends to get under the skin. Your trigger fingers start to get more antsy and you make more stupid mistakes than normal. Just like N+, learn to take breaks and let yourself cool down, and then try it again. I've noticed significant improvement doing this for both N+ and SMB.

It's the exact same level layout. Except that you start out on top, and you can't stop for more than 3-5 seconds on any level or else the saws coming from top will kill you.

If you can get par time on the light world, you can "easily" beat the dark world.

Rockets. I hate the rockets. Every single level with them. It feels more like luck than skill sometimes.

Just started doing Cotton Alley right now. I thought it was going to be a lot harder than it really is. I had some trouble with the first level but finally par'd it and then blew thru the next few levels.

Only Cotton Alley level I really had trouble with was Four Letter Word (7-20). I felt like the Dark World Variant, Bragging Rights (7-20X) was a tad bit easier.

Needless to say, I've already completed Cotton Alley.

Just got the achievement for beating Cotton Alley. The weird thing is i got it before i beat level 20. I par'd every level except for 16, ill go back and get that later. Still got the Dark World ahead of me too.

Do you need to beat the dark world for the Cotton Alley achievement or just the regular one? Thanks in advance.

Ugh. I'm on 7-20, and I can't get past the last 2 tiny saws at the very end. And as you know, getting that far over and over and not making it only leaves you stressed/mad/shaking and I just need to take a break.

And like that, I got it. Pretty much the time it took me to type that message out gave me enough time to focus in and get it.

Sorry - Just excited!

Cotton Alley was actually one of my favorite worlds. I didn't find 7-20 or 7-20x to be all that difficult, to be honest.

But 7-19x, a stage called XOXO, I despised. That was, to me, the worst and most frustrating level in the entire game.

I actually didn't have too much trouble either. After beating all the other levels in the game, I had enough practice to manage the Cotton Alley without too much frustration.

I have to say my least favorite level was Patience... just so ANNOYING!!!

I completed almost all of Cotton Alley Dark World earlier and finally got the 100% achievement. Out of all of them, I especially disliked Salt Shaker because the movement to let go of the vertical conveyor belt is so inconsistent, I got tossed immediately into the first saw above it a million times. The one I spent the most time in was Bleach, not an ultra hard level overall but it's just one of those where you can do most individual jumps without a problem, but when it comes to doing them all in a row you always mess up on something stupid.

Two questions.

1.Do you need to complete Cotten alley on dark world to get the achievement for completing dark world?

3.Do you have to complete Cotten alley dark world to get 100% in the game?

Thanks. I have done light world but dark world takes the piss lol.
