Walking the plank!!!

I don't know what it is but I struggle soooo bad when you have to do this.Every time I come to a part where you have to do this I cringe,it's basically ruining the game for me,why they changed this from the way in the first game is beyond me

I cant even cross a plank coz i always fall over. Do you hold LT/RT when they appear on screen or do you rapidly press them? I thought the first SAW was bad but this defo beats it with its dodgy fighting and pathetic walking the plank fall over and die!

I really concentrate on the balance.I'll just press the LT RT in a smooth order.I don't know where you are in the game, but I'm at a part where there are 3 planks. The first one is kinda giving me problems but the 2nd is easy because its short but the 3rd one is going to make me stop playing this game!!!!!

best method i use is tapping rt and lt accordingly whilst nudging the thumb stick in either direction slightly twice like lt right right lt left left works for me just a hint

Thanks guys, ive been trying the gently tap LT/RT and move left/right but after 2 or 3 steps i fall over and die. Its the 1st plank you come across in the 3rd chapter. Its really ruined this game >:|

you have to keep your body balanced with LS and alternate steps with LT and RT

Easily the hardest part in the game, because it's a broken mess. Whenever I come to a plank, I turn the game off for the night so as not to smash something out of frustration. It usually takes me about a dozen tries per plank....fun game! Seriously though, this game is a complete piece of crap, at least the first one resembled a real game.

I'm glad to see that I wasn't the only one who stuggled with this part of the game. The only other thing that really bugs me is that everything you do is a stupid button pressing mini-game.

Initially I was ready to quit the game over crossing one of the planks, but then I realized I was focusing on the triggers and not the balancing. Once I started just thinking about balancing as the main priority, and absentmindedly mashing LT and RT without any thought to rhythm or matching the on-screen prompts, I didn't fall off planks anymore.

Thumbs up

Well to look on the bright side the last plank you walk over is the one suspended over the toxic gas towards the middle of the game.I'm at the end of the game and there has not been any since then.

remember one key rule, slow and steady wins the race :P. I had the same trouble with the beam in the start if you tilt the left joystic a little to help regain his balance it really helps. Also when you see him move one foot, jiggle the joystick the opposite way he is leaning anyways hope this helps

God how I hate the plank sections. I have no idea why they would make this part of the game so bloody difficult.

Unhappy Its not just me!!

I thought it was just me I have been stuck on the second plank for a little while now. The very first one with that first guy i fell off that and died but the game continued so whatever but now im ready to break something every time I turn the game on. I dont want to just quit but its starting to take away all desire to play this game

ok so I had the same problem as you guys.

Controls:

is for your balance. ie your characters's body angle.

is for your character's right foot.

is for your character's left foot.

Just take your time. never press the same trigger twice it will make you fall.

Take a few steps regain balance and you should be golden.

Me and my girlfriend also struggled with the 1st plank until we found out that you had to use the LS...

The game was oh so nice and not telling us that part with the stupid flashing lt/rt...
