I'd been cruising the last few days, but had to take today off. I noticed last night as soon as I started the squat punches that my quads were already hurting (and that was the first thing I did yesterday). Back to the grind tomorrow, but I'm pulling 130-140 for the full class Silver and Gold boxing classes. I'm also started doing the jump rope motion during the personal trainer between routines to add a few more calories to the session. I'm hoping to cross the 10K achievement Sunday or Monday.

i got 80-100cals burned in the bollywood dlc. that lady moved too fast and the game would not pick up my movements as correct so i sat it out and got a few free calories. i enjoy the easy zen and boxing gym game though. 20 cals for a 1 min game is about the same as 80 for a 4 minute one. 1400 burned my first day. this game will be completed quick just playing normal.

except for the loop a hoop. does anyone else find this impossible and extremely tiring?

That hoops game surprisingly hurts my back. I'm also lucky to get over 100 points for it. Don't know how I'm gonna get the 300..

My wife actually bought the game so she could use it "the right way". Since the game is in the house anyway I'm going to pop it in the tray and get as much out of it as I can. I personally don't care about the fitness part and just want the achievements in the shortest amount of time so this works good for someone like me. My wife can then have her game back and I'll just move on to something else.

Alternately if my wife had not bought the game, I would have had no problem renting it from Gamefly if I could get the 1000 points in a couple of days. You don't have to "buy" every game you play.

I'm surprised the OP got so much backlash for this - if you don't like it don't use it. Calling him fat, lazy or questioning his ethics without knowing him personally is just ridiculous but I guess that's just part of the charm of the forums sometimes.

I think that "moving" in front of the game to get the actual calorie burn, especially if you want it in a couple of days, means that you'll actually HAVE to exercise.

If you just want the cheevies, why not get your wife to use your gamertag, and then her exercising will get you GS, which sounds like the easiest way to get gamerscore I can think of - someone else doing it for you.

If it took you that long then you're doing something wrong!

Avatar TBE took me 2:30 including loading the game and the cut-scenes

On the subject of the thread though, IF people just want to get the 1030gs from the game (including Bollywood) then it's up to them, but if you buy an exercise game, the point is to exercise.

IF you just want easy gs, then buy the "kiddie" games which take 2-3 hours to complete (Avatar, Jumper, etc), especially since most of these games are cheaper now.

If you look at my played games, I have a chunk of the "easy" games, but I've also spent time on the harder games (1000gs on Halo Reach), so I'm not a complete and total cheevie whore, just a major one

The way I look at it, if you buy a game which is to get you fit, then use it to get fit, don't use it to try to bump your gamer score, because you're just cheating yourself - the Kinect games MAKE you move in front of the TV, they don't mean you can sit there and grind by doing the same part over-and-over, but you CAN grind the exercises, but this will also get you fit!

I'm currently about 600th in the world on calorie burn, after burning around 5,200 calories legit - I wouldn't cheat it because I'd be cheating myself!

Im all for boosting but they have made these games for us podgy pasty gamers to become not as podgy pasty gamers!

Fail
Actually...They made these games for exercise to be more fun, yet it clearly isn't with a lot of these....it also acts as a new instructional tool that may soon catch on. People might start buying games + kinect instead of personal trainers. The technology just needs to be more advanced.

As for why I say you're wrong, is due to the fact not everyone who plays games is a fat bastard with acne. Some of us may be pasty though >.>

Because only a retard doesn't realize that fatter people have more weight to move + metabolism to compensate for their calorie consumption.

Good job.

Just saying...this site was designed (or so I thought) to exchange tips on getting achievements. It's not about fitness tips...and the fact that people are hating on the guy with the tip is just downright confusing to me. Anyone that put Avatar TBE in their xbox lost the right to cap on this guy. Anyone that has ever used a walkthrough or a map has lost the right to cap on this guy and claim moral high ground. (and yes...this is coming from a guy who has run 7 marathons and has used the 400lb method to run through the game after about 4000 legit calories) Why should I be disadvantaged because I am already in shape?

Protip: If you walk, you burn calories.

Are you going to thank me for that? I think not.

There is a limit to retardation.

Also, big whoop. The cardio in this game is pathetic. :|

I think you're missing the whole point of this game - if you want to rent a game for cheevies, you DON'T rent one that's based on getting fit - you rent one that has easy cheevies that you can bash your way through.

Since burning 10,000 calories takes at least a week (if you put it on maximum weight and move in front of it, why would you try to think "I'll be an achievement whore on this game"? You'd do it on an easier game that takes less than 8 hours, not one that takes actual work to do!

Put it this way, if you're going to try to whore a game, do you get FF-XIII which takes 100+ hours, or Hannah Montana which takes 4 (I happen to have both, and haven't got any GS from either, but there you go) - this, like the other exercise game, ISN'T for cheevie whores, it's for people who want to move in front of their TV.

As for this site ONLY being for cheevie whores, I dispute that - I use this site quite often for descriptions on HOW to get cheevies, not just getting cheevies the fastest way possible - look at my GS, I've 1000gs on Halo Reach, which is NOT a fast game to play, but I had to look here for how to get the more difficult cheevies, like "If They Came To Hear Me Beg" (the leap off a cliff to kill an Elite one).

This site is about describing how to get cheevies, but fitness games are there to help you get fit - if I said to you that you could get 26 miles faster in a car than on foot, would you train for a marathon in your car? No, you'd actually go out running!

Yes but why does a work out game enjoy some sort of "most favored game" status from some people in terms of whether or not the game should be boosted or not? I mean the designers could have made this impossible by merely taking the calories burned and multiplying it by the % effective in completing the workout, and awarding that number of calories/points. I would argue this game is an easy achievement game with the aforementioned method. (Can be completed in 5-7 hours) Just because you say it isn't or shouldn't doesn't make it so...and again it's up to the individual to decide how they want to play it. The person that started the thread just provided those that were interested a method to get there quick. (Kinda like following a walkthrough....you may not ever do it...but they are out there and some will use it...and I don't see people hating on the person that provides it...that's all I'm saying.)

As long as the people getting the 10k calories achievement are actually using the game to get in shape, I'm fine. When I work my ass off to get the achievement the right way, I want to know it's not next to some d-bag who hardly used the game for its purpose and just BS'ed his way to the completion.

I prefer P90x for my own fitness style but I think Insanity might even be better suited for Kinect since you don't need as much equipment.

either one would be great though.

I ordered this game so I'll be getting it soon.

What I'm wondering is can you play on one profile with different persons? Or will it recognize your body and tell you to create a new profile when someone else other than me plays it? Would be handy if some other people could play on my profile for some extra calories.

The point of the thread was to help out the community in case maybe someones in a hurry to 1k or maybe they just want to boost it. No reason for everyone to freak out, if u dont want to use it then dont. Tts not that big of a deal.

I'm boosting it and none of you guys can call me out of shape at all considering I play High school Football as a cornerback im in very good shape. Im just in a hurry.
