First of all, a huge thanks to everyone who has stayed positive and been encouraging since I posted this guide. I appreciate that it has taken me an incredibly long time to finish - however I have been incredibly busy with real life, as I am building up to the start of my final GCSE's in a few weeks time and simply have not had the time to update this at all.

Secondly, a massive personal thank you to Extreme Washing Machine, for his faith and encouragement. It means a lot to me that you helped run this in my absence, so thank you.

Next, thanks to whoever stickied this. I thought that it would die when I left, but apparently not, which has pushed me to finish writing it.

Just beat Vollyball on champ by using the Guide button trick [simply press it when the CPU shoots and move to where the icon appeared.

Tried Bowling but i seem to get a strike every other shot while the CPU gets about 9 in a row.

For champion on Volleyball, play co-op makes it soo much easier. We beat champion 7-0 our second try. I recommend this, if possible.

The javelin just takes patience. I tried for 1-2 hours a day over the course of a few days, just throwing down the left side over and over and over. So satisfying when I finally hit it. I was constantly landing within feet of that damn thing.

For Champion track and field, watch the video guide in that thread, if you haven't already. The method for a boost start and boost finish helped me secure a win in Sprint and Hurdles. If you have problems with the other events, let me know which ones.

For the two bowling achievements you have left, just keep trying. I mentioned in another thread that I like to find where I can throw a strike, and then plant my feet there throughout the game so I can keep throwing them. You can also hope to get lucky. When I got both of those achievements, I only scored a 255, but the computer sucked and only got a 234, with two open frames. I couldn't believe it.

Baihu - make sure your arm is not too high when passing past your ear, that should make the javelin fly lower. Remember to side step one step to the right so you are lined up with the sign.

If, by "spoon up" you mean launches really high up into the air, this is how I throw:

I run facing slightly to my right (I'm a righty) with both arms at my side. Right when the ground turns green I whip my arm out to my side, almost as if I'm pitching a baseball, and then throw over my shoulder. If vertical is 90 degrees, and my arm straight out horizontally is 0 degrees, then I release around 70 degrees. Hopefully that helps. It's really hard to explain in words, without video.

Ive been giving x360a a huge break recently with my exams coming up, but as its the Easter hols, I decided I deserved a break. I signed in and noticed new achievements for KS checked the thread and saw it was updated . dm the help etc. I was on this forum for AGES doing nothing lol when I was getting 1250g. Gave up in the end lol @ 1230g. The new achievements should be enough motivation to finally complete the game. I hate to break it to you Smile, but the guide isnt finished anymore :3 :O

Don't even get me started.. I just got back from being away for the weekend to notice this.

I'll try and work on it when I can, but I've got exams coming up too, so the chances of me finishing the new DLC Guide are slim.

Not that I've seen. I haven't seen any for just the standard "main events" except track and field.

Re: New DLC Achievement tips.

Some of the games are better than others for calories (they are rated "low intensity", "medium intensity", "high intensity". Originally, this led me to believe it was all game-based, with some consideration for better score, better burn. But this isn't the case.

If you flail your arms around wildly in every single game (like the soccer ones, or the fruit splatter), you'll burn a LOT more calories than if you play normally. 15+ calories per minute instead of 2-5. The calorie counter still increases even if you play poorly, so your focus should instead be to keep your whole body moving.

Obviously a big difference like this will make sure you definitely finish the harder challenges on time, rather than continuously hoping for a "high intensity" game to pick up lost time.

Also confirmed today that you can just face Celery over and over for the 5-a-day achievement. Still, a good idea to give yourself more than an hour before midnight, since midnight resets the counter even on a single session shorter than 24 hours (confirmed yesterday). However, if you started one challenge before midnight and complete it after midnight, that challenge does count towards the achievement for the following day, even if most calories were in the wrong day.

I just thought I'd let you all know that my Guide's been posted on the actual Kinect Sports page, so you can view it all there - with the ability to tick off what Achievements you've obtained so that you don't have to search through the huge mass of information that's on the first page of this guide.
