Is there a way to boost the Ultimate Team tournaments with 2 people?

I'm just posting here to see if I can get a clear answer. I've been looking around at solutions towards beating the online cups, and I've read in some places that you need at least 8 people, others you need 5, and others that you need 2 in order to fully complete the tournaments for both people. I tried doing the method with 2 people, and the problem was was that I got stuck on the silver, while he was stuck on the bronze. From here, we didn't even try to match up again. If someone is in bronze, is it even possible to match up with someone in the silver? If not, is there a way around it (Hence, still being able to do it with 2 people). Just wanted to see if I could figure it out some way. I also have this as my basic idea for how it should be done.

Bronze

Main vs Dummy 1: Main wins

Silver

Dummy 1 vs Dummy 2 (in bronze cup): Dummy 1 wins
Main vs Dummy 1 (in silver cup): Main wins

Gold

Dummy 3 vs Dummy 2 (in bronze cup): Dummy 2 wins
Dummy 2 vs Dummy 1 (in silver cup): Dummy 1 wins
Main vs Dummy 1 (in gold cup): Main wins cup

Sorry if that seems confusing, but basically if you wanted to do it by yourself, you would need at least 4 accounts... correct? If anyone has an easier way of doing this, I would appreciate it!

With that method, does it even matter what cup the other person (one that's not boosting) is in?

Nope if your boosting account is doing a different bronze cup and you are doing a Gold it doesn't care. It will match up with someone else easier if they are in the same round as you but you can just keep doing the same bronze with the boosting account while you "win" with your main profile.

So just to clarify, if you do the quitting out method that trishthedish posted, you will match up? Or will you match up just by being in a silver cup while another is in bronze cup - just as long as you both select the same tournament to do it in?

Sorry for all the questions - I'm currently in the process of choosing a silver cup for the first game, and don't want to end up stuck there.

It does not matter what online cup your boosting account is doing, they just quit out and you progress wahtever cup you are in with a win.

Sweet - thanks for clarifying that for me, I'll give this one another go either tonight or tomorrow.

I'm interested in doing this, surely it would be super fast now that no-one plays Fifa09 anymore. If anyone fancies it, send me a PM because I won't be checking this thread again.
