It does make things a bit easier if you change the setups I find.

Fair enough, I never touched the settings. Seems like you only need 3 or 4 runs at any challenge to get the Platinum.

Lets be fair, if it was piss easy to get platinum everyone would be moaning about how easy it was. Its supposed to be a challenge, and some people have the knack with driving games, others dont. So take the time to put in a bit of practice and with time and patience, the cheevos will flow! (I for one am narked at the difficulty of 1 or two plats, but I'll just go back later to try again) Peace!

Got all Platinums, didn't find them to hard to be honest. The bobsleigh one was probably the worst, took about 6 goes to get that one.
I used bonnet cam, auto gears & my own set ups.

Just started season 3 and got every Gymkhana session on platinum so far. Some were hard, some were ridiculous. Can't wait to do the so called 'bobsleigh' challenge

Showcase Drifter Achievement/Trophy Guide (Platinum Advanced Manual)

Showcase Drifter Achievement/Trophy Guide (Drift Showcase 02):
Written Guide by NIZZU. Video Guide by NIZZU.
~You do NOT have to use the advanced setup. That's just how I race personally. I like the challenge.
~USE MANUAL TRANSMISSION and keep it in 3rd gear the whole time. You do NOT need speed to do this. By keeping it in 3rd you are giving yourself enough speed to complete this.
~My Vehicle Setup is to maximize as much control as possible with this awful car. You see me drifting off course a lot. This was to gain as many points as I could on the drift itself knowing I could get back on course quickly.
~At the halfway point, you want at least somewhere between 13-14k points and at least 1 minute on the clock. If you don't, I would reset and try again.

I know this isn't the prettiest race but this is for Drift Points NOT BEAUTY POINTS. There is no easy way to get this Platinum but with a little practice and patience you should have no problem getting it. Good luck!

EDIT: I have also included guides for "No-bot Wars" and "Perfect Sprint".

ok i did it with a second to spare i think i used the hand brake twice, just keep the car moving and remmeber all the time u are sliding u are losing time try to brake and power through corners straight'ish so u are puttin down as much speed as u can without the back end losing traction.

Did you change anything in gearratios or just used the standard setting? I tried those all from short ratio to the long ratio but nothing seems to help me go faster anymore.

Don't mess with the settings. Just make sure you nail the corners. The corners are where you lose forward momentum. You need to turn in really early (especially on hair pins) and with as little sideways movement as possible once you've made the turn. If you drift you're pissing away time. If you go on youtube there's a couple of videos of platinum drives and you can see how they nail the corners.

i used the shortest gear ratio and max downforce.
it's all about being smooth ... too much heavy braking and hard acceleration loses a lot of time. the hairpins are where most time can be lost ... slow in, fast out is the key. there is a sequence of left/rights at the top that can be pretty much straight-lined. there are a few corners that can be cut too, which shaves some time off.

Finally got it! Took me another hour and a half but finally finished in 56.876. Only changed the gearratio to the shortest, didn't chnage anything else.

As Budje said, be at the last corner with 50secs. max on the clock. First gate after hairpin approx. 45sec.

Finally!!!!!!!!!!................................. ...............................Got my 1000G, then. codemaster decided to add to more cheevos. Fail!

I used maxed downforce and shortest gears. took my time and eventually mastered the corners. I was flooring the accelerator most of the time.

Exactly! Playing the game at the moment and I love it. Always have enjoyed the DiRT series. It's a nice challenge without being too frustrating.

I'm so not gonna bother getting these. I'm firstly not good enough, and secondly they are ridiculous targets.

Just give it a couple of tries everytime you play the game, eventually you'll get them.
I am just an avarage gamer and I tried everyday and everytime I got a little closer untill at some point I all beat them easily.

You make a fair point, but I get frustrated very easily with what I feel are unobtainable goals. I've got other games or parts of this game that I enjoy more. I'd rather play them then waste a lot of time, and probably my tether, trying to get these, lol.
