Achievement Guide and Roadmap (Complete)


THIS GUIDE IS A WORK IN PROGRESS BUT AS OF 6/26/2011 ALL INFORMATION IS UP TO DATE. FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME WITH QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS. ALSO IF YOU SEE AN ERROR PLEASE LET ME KNOW RIGHT AWAY SO WE CAN FIX IT.

I sit on live a lot but often times I'm not paying attention to what's going on. If I don't reply right away, no worries, I will eventually. Just be patient, I get distracted easily. Contact me here or on live if you wanna set a time to get some achievements or even just mess around. I'm always up for it.

Introduction:


This is my first achievement guide and damn it was a lot more typing than I thought it was going to be. Thanks goes out to: Steve007101 for his Challenge Guide, Venomized and all participants in the Alma Doll thread, Jagermeister TX and everyone in the Insider Trading thread, NyteShade for his thread regarding I F.E.A.R. Nothing! and other multiplayer achievements. jaycee88 for his youtube tutorials(we could always use more if you got them). Everyone else I may have missed, I apologize but let me know and I'll make sure you get added! And now... On with the show!

Breakdown:

You can get most of your achievements during solo play but a partner or a second controller is required to finish the rest(find a partner HERE). You do not need to play any part of the game online in order to get the full 1000 as every mode can be played offline. You will need to complete the game at least once to obtain all of the achievements, at least 2 if you're playing alone because you cannot unlock Fettel until you beat the mission with Point Man. All secret achievements are related to finishing each interval and finishing them with a certain point score.

Playthrough 1 (Recruit/Commando/Fearless)

This is where you'll learn various parts of the game. From using cover and your particular character's special abilities to the various weapons. I recommend playing the game on at least Commando. If you want to go for score achievements from the start you can play on Fearless since you will get an extra 5000 points added onto your score, which negates any deaths you may have had. In Interval 03, you will eventually come across a meat locker, punch the meat to unlock Yo, Adrian!. You can also wait until Interval 08 where the punching bag in one of the rooms will unlock it. This is the only secret achievement that isn't related to the Intervals.

By the end of this playthrough you should at least have: Prison Impossible, Get To The Chopper, Pain In Bulk, Town Hall Beating, Through The Haystack, Trouble Cross, Terminal Victory, Homecoming King, and Mission... accomplished? for each Interval and completing all intervals on any difficulty.

Playthrough 2 (Insane)

By now you should have a pretty good feel for the game. You can choose to play as Point Man or Fettel for this playthrough. Personally I liked Fettel better but there are advantages and drawbacks to both characters. You can kill two birds with one stone if you manage to complete any of these Intervals without dying. Interval 01 is the easiest as you won't fight any tough enemies, just take it slow.

Point Man has slo mo and is your stereotypical FPS character. Shoots guns, melees enemies with a knife and can effectively use cover in conjunction with slo mo. You unlock a sprint kick combination at level 2 which will kill the weaker enemies in a single hit as well as get you to cover a little faster if you're in a tight spot. He will generally keep any weapon you pick up regardless of scripted events. If you're patient you shouldn't have a problem with the majority of the game on Insane.

Paxton Fettel does not have slo mo, but he can levitate most enemies aside from Mechs and fire a blast of energy from his hand, which is about as powerful as a pistol shot. If you are in melee range of an enemy while levitating them, aside from Phase Casters and Commanders, Fettel can instantly kill them with a special attack. However, Fettel cannot use guns or grenades or sprint/jump kick. While levitating humanoid enemies, Fettel has the option to possess and take control of them. This gives him the ability to do everything Point Man can do aside from the slo mo. You have a meter that determines how long you can stay inside the body. Enemies that witness the possession will shoot at you but you will startle them for a second or two. Killing enemies gives orbs that can extend how long you can stay inside of the body. Fettel can instantly kill the person he is possessing for about a quarter of his spirit bar. Should the possessed person die while being controlled, you will lose all of your spirit bar regardless of how full it was and regain control of Fettel. It can take some time to learn how to use him effectively but personally I think Fettel is the better choice for a solo Insane run.

By the end of this playthrough you should have unlocked: Man Mode, Almost Halfway, You've got the Touch!, and That's a lot of Zeros.

Replay Intervals (Mopping Up)

After beating the game on Insane, you can use Replay level to complete the score targets for each interval and the miscellaneous achievements. This is probably when you'll unlock 500 challenges completed and completing each challenge once. The remaining achievements that can be unlocked if you haven't already: Supreme Challenger, Completionist, Spiritually Attuned, Insider Trading, Score Monger, Doll Collector, Extremist, A Precursor, No can defense!, State-of-the-art. Bang, bang!, Footy Foul, Earl of Pain, God Among Men, Art Collector, Head Crab Removal, Little Brother's Helper, and Big Brother's Helper.

The score total achievements are as follows:

Interval 01: 95,000 (Up The River)
Interval 02: 85,000 (Magna Slum Laude)
Interval 03: 95,000 (Cannibal Run)
Interval 04: 105,000 (House Arrest)
Interval 05: 110,000 (Point Taken)
Interval 06: 70,000 (Crossing Over)
Interval 07: 110,000 (Point Authority)
Interval 08: 50,000 (Dream Score)

Multiplayer

The rest of the game are the various multiplayer achievements, which can be done with a second controller or solo. They are divided into Soul King games and Contractions games.

Soul King:I recommend doing these with another player or with a second controller. Set the time-limit as low as possible but keep rounds at 5. Play through the rounds and in at least one of them, possess at least 20 different bodies. You will unlock Unstoppable! and Indecisive! If you like, you can set the time-limits higher and also shoot for Soul Gatherer and Soul Hoarder. You will need to play at least 20 rounds to unlock Monarch.

Contractions:

These achievements can all be done solo without too much difficulty but it makes it a little easier to get someone to help for the crate achievement. To unlock a majority of these achievements play MECHANIZED INVASION on Insane. In one of the corners of the map you will find a Mech. Jump in and go into the corner where it's located, the house will cover you from one side while you can kill the other and occasionally poke around the corner to kill any enemies. Do not collect any crates. After 3 waves you should unlock I F.E.A.R. Nothing! and We'll Try Again Tomorrow! as well as Dead Blind if you get the deep fog. You probably won't make it to wave 20 solo though. I recommend a group of 4 on the same map on recruit difficulty to unlock Hanging 20. With at least 2 players, start a match on THE COMMUTE on recruit and while one protects the other, one of you go out and collect all of the crates you can and bring them back to unlock Handle with Care. You need to have PERSONALLY carried in 30 crates to unlock the achievement.

Story Achievements

Prison Impossible - 10
Complete Interval 01

This is a storyline achievement and cannot be missed.

Get To The Chopper - 10
Complete Interval 02

This is a storyline achievement and cannot be missed. You will fight a mech towards the end of this level. There are 4 rocket shots in each of the houses on the right side of the street. You'll need at least 3 to kill it, assuming you don't throw grenades or fire bullets into it.

Pain, In Bulk - 15
Complete Interval 03

This is a storyline achievement and cannot be missed. Beware the knife throwers and the exploding cultists, they will do the most damage and the melee ones can be avoided pretty easily.

Town Hall Beating - 15
Complete Interval 04

This is a storyline achievement and cannot be missed. You will fight a mech towards the middle of the level. There are rockets located in the area and enough grenades to take it down quickly. Remember they are stunned by shock grenades!

Through the Haystack - 20
Complete Interval 05

This is a storyline achievement and cannot be missed. You will fight a mech in the middle of the level and it's easiest to just move around the pillar in the middle shooting it/throwing grenades as it's rockets really hurt if they hit you. At the end you will fight a Phase Commander, chain melee attacks on him or levitate and melee him as Fettel to bring him down quickly. You will fight some soldiers and then another Commander, rinse and repeat.

Trouble Cross - 20
Complete Interval 06

This is a storyline achievement and cannot be missed. There is a mech section for the last half of the level. You can hop out of the mech and get back in after it cools down for full health. Otherwise just use the buses as cover to kill everything, overall not too difficult.

Terminal Victory - 25
Complete Interval 07

This is a storyline achievement and cannot be missed. You will fight 3 Phase Commanders in this level. 2 at once towards the end, if you can get one into one of the side rooms alone, string melee attacks or levitate and melee them to kill one quickly, then repeat for the other. There is a shield in one of the side rooms if you're Point Man. You will get into a mech at the end and fight 2 more Commanders, but they get destroyed if you're using both your rockets and laser attacks.

Homecoming King - 25
Complete Interval 08

This is a storyline achievement and cannot be missed. In the fight against Wade, shoot the glowing part of the mouth when revealed and hide behind the rocks when you see the sky turn red and Alma screaming. 3(6 if in co-op) Ghost Soldiers will be summoned. Just kill them and continue. This fight is easier as Point Man for the slo mo.

Mission... accomplished? - 50
Finish the Campaign on any difficulty (all Intervals complete)

Unlocked when you complete all 8 Intervals on any difficulty. Should unlock after your first playthrough.

Man Mode - 100
Finish the Campaign on INSANE difficulty

Unlocked after finishing all 8 Intervals on INSANE, which is unlocked after clearing the game once or through co-op with a friend who already has.

NOTE: You must personally complete all 8 intervals without changing the difficulty. It's probably better to do it all in one go as there have been reports of the achievement not unlocking for some. This could be due to dropping in and out of a co-op game. The host should be fine but whomever is joining, take note and make sure you're still playing on INSANE if you can't finish the game.

INSANE is not extremely difficult, you need to use cover as much as possible as standing out in the open too long will get you ripped apart. You will probably make it through most of the game without a problem though there are some problem areas. Most notably in Interval 05.

For the mech fight in Interval 05, you should save as many shock grenades as you can so when it lands you can stun in and unload most if not all of your ammo into it. From there throw some extra grenades and dance around the middle pillar to destroy it, even a few shots from it's rockets will kill you. This fight is much easier as Point Man than it is as Fettel.

For Phase Casters you can levitate them as Fettel and 3-4 melee attacks at close range will bring their shield down so you can possess them. Which I recommend since you get a targeting indicator for other enemies and an explosion upon death which will kill most anything. As Point Man you just have to unload a lot of bullets into them before they get brought down.

You can string together melee attacks as Point Man on Phase Commanders, they won't always flinch but usually you will regen your health before they'll attack you again. As Fettel you can do the same thing as on Phase Casters and it will make them giant cakewalks. You can also possess them for a bigger explosion and as far as I can tell a little more damage threshold.

Against Wade in the horror sections, 2 hits is enough to kill you but this shouldn't really make a difference before Interval 07. You just have to make sure you're shooting at the red and black smoke as it gets close to you, enough rounds should push him back so he won't damage you.

For the last fight against Wade as Point Man, you should save your slo mo for when the mouth opens and his weak spot is revealed since the Ghost Soldiers are just the same as any other soldiers and you shouldn't need slo mo to kill them by this point. As Fettel make sure you possess at least one and get the AR. It may take a few tries before you're accurate enough to bring him down before he kills you as he hits very hard on Insane. Remember to avoid the fire!

Campaign Achievements

Extremist - 20
Complete any campaign level on INSANE without reloading checkpoints or going into Last Stand

It's probably easiest done on Interval 01 as Point Man. Take your time and recharge slo mo as needed to kill everything. You can often sit back at the beginning of a room and let the enemies come to you. Remember you cannot die and if in co-op you cannot go into Last Stand. So play it safe and be patient. Also could be easily done in Interval 02 if you're pro at avoiding exploding Cultists. TWest72 and friend have created this video guide:

A Precursor - 5
In the Poker Room of the Prison, kill all 3 enemies with headshots before slo mo ends

In the first Interval as you progress, near the beginning, you will hear some soldiers talking about a poker game. Kick down the door by going close to it and hitting your melee button and you should enter slo mo. Regardless of which character you're using, you just have to headshot the 3 soldiers sitting while in slo mo and the achievement will unlock. jaycee88's video tutorial:

Find something worth punching!

There is a meat locker located in Interval 03, melee the slabs of meat a few times to unlock this. You can also melee the punching bag in Interval 08 to unlock it. This video by jaycee88 shows the location of the punching bag in Interval 08:

Interval Score Achievements

For these achievements, you must rack up a certain score in each of the Intervals. You do this by getting kills, completing the level quickly and completing challenges. Always grab the psychic link bodes as these are 1500 points a piece and it does add up. Finding Alma dolls also helps a great deal as you get an extra 5000. The time isn't as important but if you can complete a level quickly, it's better to do so. Your difficulty will also increase the number of points gained. Playing on RECRUIT will give you no bonus, COMMANDO will give you 5000, FEARLESS will net you 10000 and INSANE will give you a respectable 15000. If you can beat a level without dying, you will get an additional 5000 so I recommend playing on at least COMMANDO to negate any loss from dying.

Always jump into cover and aim from there, you'll be working on 3 different challenges at once. Always aim for the head and use only one weapon at a time if possible. If Point Man, slo mo kill everything if possible and let your entire meter drain from full to empty 3 times. If Fettel, get 20 blast kills and try to maintain your possession of a single body as long as possible as this racks up a lot of points.

As far as characters go, Fettel has an easier time racking up points as he can do most of what Point Man can plus you complete challenges while possessing another body! He also has a nifty 10000 point challenge for killing 20 enemies with his Fettel Blast. See each individual Interval for tips and tricks.

Up The River - 15
Attain a total of 95,000 score on Interval 01

This is more practice than anything. Practice getting head shots and aiming from cover. There are no real tricks, but you should be able to complete all 3 weapon challenges on this level as well as kills from cover and time spent in cover.

Weapons: Pistol, SMG, Shotgun

Magna Slum Laude - 15
Attain a total of 85,000 score on Interval 02

More or less the same as Interval 01 except a Mech and two extra weapons are thrown in. You only have 4 rocket shots so if possible try to kill soldiers with the explosion to get an extra 5000 points. At the end of the level when you fight the Caster, you can let him continue to summon enemies to help reach your kill totals if necessary. He will stop after a certain number though.

Weapons: Pistol, SMG, Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, Sniper Rifle

Cannibal Run - 15
Attain a total of 95,000 score on Interval 03

As the melee cultists come out, pay attention! This is one of the easiest and quite possibly the only place in the game you'll be able to get the 10/20 kills without being damaged challenges done. Make sure you have a gun and slo mo kill or keep them back with Fettel blast. It's an extra 15000 points and does help. Shoot the explosives to get another challenge. Towards the end you will fight a small squad of soldiers but the majority of the enemies here will be the cultists. You won't have much of a chance to use cover but if you want the extra points, just aim from cover at the very end after you fight the soldiers.

Weapons: Pistol, SMG, Shotgun, Dual SMGs

House Arrest - 15
Attain a total of 105,000 score on Interval 04

This is the first level with a good mix of enemies that includes cultists, soldiers and "super soldiers". You can get 10 kills without dying inside one of the homes since all of the enemies in there are melee/exploding cultists just pay attention. When you get into the mech, make sure you melee 5 enemies and kill 20 without leaving the suit. Other than that, continue to do the same things you've been doing and you'll prevail.

Weapons: Pistol, SMG, Shotgun, Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Rocket Launcher

Point Taken - 15
Attain a total of 110,000 on Interval 05

This level has a mix of Cultists and both soldier types. There is a mech halfway through the level but the first time you will fight one without a rocket launcher option. If playing as Fettel, there will be an unlimited supply of soldiers spawning during the mech fight so you can farm weapon kills to your hearts content. Just before the mech fight you will also fight a Caster, so you can gain farm some weapon kills before you decide to kill him. You can obtain a Needle Gun at the end of the level but there aren't enough enemies left to complete the challenge so don't bother using it but for funtimes.

Weapons: Pistol, SMG, Shotgun, Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Riot Shield, Laser Rifle, The Penetrator

Crossing Over - 15
Attain a total of 70,000 score on Interval 06

From this point on you will fight no more Cultists but instead demon dogs. They are much deadlier and can swarm and take you down quickly, it is possible to get 10 kills without being damaged but it's much harder. You will fight 2 Casters before the mech sequence and using their ability to summon more soldiers helps a lot. Make sure you melee some enemies during the mech sequence and again get 20 kills without leaving the vehicle. You can get rocket kills as well but it will require you to get out of the mech. There isn't much time for cover so use it as much as possible.

Weapons: Pistol, SMG, Shotgun, Assault Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Laser Rifle

Point Authority - 15
Attain a total of 110,000 score on Interval 07

You will fight a more balanced mix of Demon Dogs and soldiers, including 5 Phase Commanders and a Caster by the end of the level. You have plenty of opportunity to reach your weapon kill totals as well as cover. This is the only level where it's possible to get all the kills you need for the Needle Gun challenge. Grab it early and don't let it go. Towards the end of the level you will reach a gate that will slowly open and Demon Dogs will continuously spawn until it's closed from the other side. There is a spot in the corner of this room where you can hide and kill dogs without them being able to reach you. Not only does it make this normally tough section easier, but it's possible to get 20 kills without being damaged as well. Keep doing what you've been doing and you'll have it.

Weapons: Pistol, SMG, Shotgun, Dual SMGs, Sniper Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Laser Rifle, The Penetrator

Dream Score - 10
Attain a total of 50,000 score on Interval 08

This is going to be the easiest of these achievements. Pick Point Man and play through the level as normal. Make sure to try and shoot back Wade when he tries to attack you 3 times to complete a challenge. When you fight the boss, slo mo when you can see the weak point as if you manage stagger him 3 times before Alma screams you rack up lots of points. Also slo mo killing the Ghost Soldiers all at once, with headshots will give you extra points. Repeat until the boss dies and you'll be all set. Don't worry if you don't do it the first time, you'll have to come back a few times to complete all of the challenges for another achievement.

Weapons: Pistol, SMG, Shotgun, Assault Rifle, Dual SMGs

Multiplayer Achievements

All of these achievements can be done solo or with a second controller. You do not need to be on Live to unlock these.

I F.E.A.R. Nothing! - 15
Finish a wave of Contractions on INSANE without anyone going into Last Stand

This can be completed solo/split-screen/on Live. For the easiest method, choose the map MECHANIZED INVASION. There is a Mech in a corner of a map near a house. All you need to do is get into the Mech and back into that same corner. You can use the house as cover and laser beam most enemies as they come. You'll be able to see them coming and this should prove no challenge whatsoever. Just keep your team behind you and it'll come easily.

Dead Blind - 10
Spend an entire round of Contractions in deep fog without going into Last Stand

Sometimes there will be a fog blanketing the map. Just don't let anyone fall into last stand while the fog is down and the achievement will unlock. Again go to MECHANIZED INVASION and use the mech to trivialize this achievement. Difficulty does not matter.

We'll Try Again Tomorrow! - 15
Survive 3 waves in Contractions in a row without anyone bringing back a crate

This again can be done easily on MECHANIZED INVASION using the same strategy described above. Just survive 3 rounds without anyone bringing a crate back to the house. Difficulty does not matter.

Handle with Care - 20
Return 30 crates in one game of Contractions

Get at least 2 players and go to the map THE COMMUTE. There will be 3 crates spawned right outside of the house, it's a very small map so they should not be hard to find. Just bring back 30 of them PERSONALLY to unlock the achievement. If you do this with friends, they will not be able to unlock the achievement unless you plan to play the 20+ rounds required(10 rounds per person).

Hanging 20 - 20
Complete wave 20 in Contractions

Probably easiest done with 4 players on the map MECHANIZED INVASION using the mech strategy described above for I F.E.A.R. Nothing!. Difficulty does not matter so would be easier to do this on recruit.

Indecisive - 10
Possess 20 different enemies in one round of Soul King

Start up a game on any map and just press to possess different enemies until the achievement unlocks. As simple as that.

Soul Gatherer - 15
Attain a total of 6,000 Souls in one round of Soul King

Get a partner or a second controller and start up a round of Soul King. Set the time limit as high as it will go and just run around killing everything. Make sure not to die or you lose your souls! Try to kill the enemies that give you the most points. Once the round is over and you have over 6000 points. Pop!

Soul Hoarder - 20
Attain a total of 25,000 Souls across all rounds of a Soul King match

Apply the same strategy as above, you just have to get 25000 across the entire match and you'll have it. The types of enemies change per wave so you may get more or less some rounds. Overall it shouldn't be difficult.

Unstoppable! - 15
Win all 5 rounds of a 5-round Soul King match

Set the time limit low and to 5 rounds. Stand around and look pretty until the end and kill something to get a score or actually play a game against people. Just make sure you win all 5 rounds!

Monarch - 20
Win 20 rounds of Soul King

Just win a total of 20 rounds of Soul King. Set the time limit low and play a few matches. Can be done solo, since you'll automatically win a game for being the only player.


Miscellaneous Achievements

Almost Halfway - 10
Attain Rank 10

See You've got the Touch!

You've got the Touch! - 25
Attain Rank 21

Can be gotten from Campaign/Multiplayer games. Each rank unlocks perks for campaign which can make your INSANE playthrough easier. Earn more experience by completing challenges in each Interval. Overall this achievement isn't very difficult. If you're playing the campaign first, you should unlock it sometime during your INSANE run assuming you don't replay too many levels.


That's a lot of Zeros - 50
Attain a total of 250,000 points through challenges

Should unlock naturally as you complete the campaign. Just keep doing challenges until it unlocks.

Spiritually Attuned - 20
Make 100 Psychic Links (Share or Steal)

Find 100 glowing bodies and perform a psychic link. This can be done solo or in co-op. Repeat 100 times to get your achievement. You can check your progress under Scoring->Rank/Challenges from the main menu.

Completionist - 50
Complete every challenge at least once

See the challenge guide (HERE) for a guide to every challenge. Most should come naturally but this thread has good information for the harder ones. Some do need to be completed in a co-op game and you will need to play as both characters. You can check your progress under Scoring->Rank/Challenges from the main menu.

Supreme Challenger - 25
Complete 500 total challenges between all categories

Simply complete 500 challenges. Each psychic link counts as one. You must reach a checkpoint after completing a challenge for it to save your progress. If you should die/reload after completing a challenge it will not count and you will have to do it again. You can check your progress under Scoring->Rank/Challenges from the main menu.

Score Monger - 30
Complete 30 challenges in one Interval

I recommend playing as Fettel as much of his challenges are easily done together, he also can do all of the weapon challenges. Make sure you always aiming for head and in cover when you're shooting at enemies. Try to maintain a single possession as long as possible and make sure you find all of the psychic link bodies! I think I got it done in Interval 03 because of how easy it was to get the 10/20 kill without being damaged challenges. You can check your progress mid-Interval by pressing the button.

I'm not a Doctor, I'm a Medic! - 10
Perform 50 revives in any game mode

When one of your teammates goes into Last Stand, simply revive them 50 times total through all playthroughs and games to unlock this achievement.

Insider Trading - 15
Possess every type of possessable enemy

This achievement must be done as Paxton Fettel. We are not sure as of yet if you need to possess every enemy with every weapon type but it's safe to assume you do. See this thread (HERE) for more information, but these are all types of possessable enemies:

Find the Alma Doll on every Mission

There are hidden Alma dolls on every Interval that are worth 5000 points when collected. You should find these as you are doing the Interval score achievements as the extra boost helps. The thread located (HERE) has more information as they can spawn in different places every time you play.

Kill Achievements

Earl of Pain - 10
Kill 1000 enemies by any method in any game mode

Simply kill 1000 enemies in any game mode. Should come naturally while completing all other achievements.

No can defense! - 20
Kill 100 enemies with Jump Kick or Slide Kick

Easiest done as Point Man but can be done possessing a soldier as Fettel. At rank 2 you will unlock slide kick, sprint and melee to perform the action. You will kill most weaker enemies in a single hit. Jump kick is just jumping and pressing your melee button, should also kill most weaker enemies in a single hit. Do this 100 times to unlock the achievement.

State-of-the-art. Bang, bang! - 20
Kill 10 enemies in a row with Sniper Rifle headshots

Can be done as earliest as Interval 02. Easiest done as Point Man due to the slo mo ability. Headshot 10 enemies in a row with the sniper rifle to unlock this achievement. jaycee88 has a video tutorial for this achievement:

Art Collector - 15
Pin 100 total enemies with the Penetrator or Leaper knives

I believe the achievement description is flawed in that you don't have to actually pin enemies against a wall, just kill them with the weapon. You can obtain a Penetrator on Intervals 05 and 07. As Fettel, you can possess Cultists with knives or pick up one on the ground and kill enemies, it does not matter how you obtain the knife, it all counts. Kill 100 enemies in either way and the achievement will unlock.

Footy Foul - 10
Kill 2 enemies with 1 Slide Kick during Slo Mo

Must be done as Point Man or in a co-op game. You unlock the slide kick ability after reaching rank 2. Line up 2 enemies, turn on slow mo and slide kick the both of them in one go to unlock this achievement. Our friend jaycee88 has created this guide:

God Among Men - 25
Kill 250 total enemies during Slo Mo

Must be done as Point Man or in a co-op game. Turn on slo mo and kill 250 enemies. Most likely will not come from your first playthrough so you may need to play a few intervals afterwards to unlock this achievement. I believe Fettel kills during slo mo count.

Little Brother's Helper - 15
As Point Man, kill 100 enemies suspended by Fettel

Must be done with a second controller or in a co-op game. Suspend 100 enemies with Fettel and kill them with Point Man. Possible to unlock during the course of a co-op game but it depends on you and your partner's play style.

Head Crab Removal - 10
20 kills with a crowbar

Must be Fettel. This achievement can be done as early as Interval 03. Find a Cultist with a crowbar and possess him, then get 20 kills with the crowbar. Can also be done in a game of Soul King if you can find a crowbar. jaycee88's video tutorial:

Big Brother's Helper - 15
As Fettel, suspend 100 enemies that Point Man kills

Must use a second controller or be in a co-op game. Levitate 100 enemies while Point Man kills them. Note that Fettel can levitate enemies from cover. Can be done in a single playthrough but it depends on you and your partners play style.

well looks like a good guide. (was writing one, but just gonna let you polish yours hehe)-

But no man mode is not bugged as mentioned above, also by other users,.

As to my understanding you just cant switch difficulty at any time before completing the game. Can have a player join and "un"join at any time as long as you continue your playthrough on insane.

Also for monarch. . .. Not sure if this is what you mean. . . but you can do this alone. No need for a second player as you automatically win every time without a other player.

Another suggestion for Insane on interval 7 at the spot with the gate and the dogs..
Take the riot gear. Crouch and melee like crazy. Didn't get hit once that way. Helps if you're trying to keep a streak going.

I wouldn't say missable just because you can reply Intervals and it takes about 5 minutes to reach the punching bag in Interval 08. I always thought missable meant you had to start an entire playthrough again to get it.

If you can find a strategy that isn't already described within the guide let me know and I'll try it. But so far Mechanized Invasion and the mech is one-size-fits-all.

really think you should remove the achievements listed as glitchy. Your decision of course.
But they aint glitched :S
Me and a few friends got them all fine. Its a player error rather then game error.
Which in turn would make some users maybe turn away since they dont think they can get all achievements.

Just my thoughts.

**Man mode update**
played through insane mode yesterday co-op with buddy of mine and it was my first playthrough (meaning i didn't have insane mode unlocked yet)
insane achievement didn't unlock when the boss died.
i replayed the first level solo on insane and once the level was completed it popped the insane mode achievement.

Alright, updated glitchy since I've received multiple messages confirming they aren't glitched. I'm still shaky about Insider Trading as I needed to possess an axe Cultist and then a crowbar one before mine unlocked.

So it could be cultist, soldiers, soldiers with the metal face plate, phase caster, phase commander? something like that
