Normal vs. hard one thing that makes you think about this game.
I was able to easily get S ranks on every Hard missions, but I can only get A ranks on normal missions. I find it funny how easy it is to get a S rank on hard, but how difficult it is to get it on normal. Who else agrees with me?
Lego Batman 2: 100,000 Achievement points
TES V: Skyrim: 90,000 Achievement Points
Halo Wars: 80,000 Achievement Points
Fallout: New Vegas = 70,000 Achievement Points
Alan Wake = 60,000 Achievement Points
Magna Carta 2 = 50,000 Achievement Points
Phantasy Star 2 40,000 Achievement points
Fallout 3 = 30,000 Achievement Points
GTA IV = 20,000 Achievement Points
Madden 08 = 10,000 Achievement Points
Achieved 100K GS on lego batman 2's 100% completion achievement

The leap from Normal to Hard missions seems to be very minimal. Usually they just throw in a few more enemies and it seems that damage received is boosted slightly. Missions barely take any longer to complete if you have a good Mech setup.
I'm thinking that the developers added much more room as far as time, damaged received, etc in order to acquire an S rank on Hard. Thus it is actually easier to get.
