Master Pioneer 50

Find all of the Target Markers on every mission on ALL four difficulty settings.

This is arguably one of the most time consuming and frustrating achievements ever. You will need to find every target marker in the game on every difficulty, and their locations are different on each setting.

Use this site to find them:

http://tinyurl.com/266apv

The site is translated from Japanese, and the screenshots do not work on the translated site, so use the original site to check the screenshots:

http://www.xbox-c4.com/pc/xbox360/planet/target.html#m1

One important thing to remember is that the target markers you've collected throughout a mission are only saved when you get to a checkpoint. So if you die, you will need to get any target markers you found after your last checkpoint.

Extreme Soldier 150

Complete the singleplayer campaign on Extreme difficulty. To unlock this difficulty setting, you will need to beat the game on any other difficulty first.

WARNING: This achievement should not be attempted by anyone with high blood pressure or a heart condition. Unlike the bag of Doritos in your kitchen or any of the other countless products out there branded with the term XTREME, this really is as extreme as it gets. You will die. A lot.

Before you attempt this achievement, there's a few things you should know. First, the data posts you saw on all the other difficulties are gone. Your T-Eng also drains much faster, which means you'll need to move through the levels quickly. Enemy attacks will hurt you a lot more, they're far more accurate, and you usually will not be given a VS in boss fights. In order to beat the bosses, you need to perform near flawlessly.

For strategies for the bosses, refer to my guide here:

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/f...ad.php?t=17069

Also, if you plan on getting the Master Pioneer achievement, make sure you get all the target markers while you go through the missions. You will not want to play through Extreme again to get the markers.

Worm Hunter 50

Kill the worm in Mission 03 on any difficulty.

This is not as difficult as it initially seems. It is best to do this on Easy.

To kill the worm, grab a rocket launcher before you move out onto the ice plains. Do not take a VS, as it will be destroyed as soon as the worm appears. There are two ways to kill him: shoot a rocket down his throat when he lunges at you, or destroy the T-Eng spots on the right and left sides of his body. The former is a little tricky, but when you learn his attack patterns it's simple. If you choose to destroy the T-Eng spots, use your machine gun or the rocket launcher so you can stay mobile while you're shooting. Also, you will need to destroy the T-Eng spots on both his head and his tail.

The worm has two different sets of attacks, one for the head and one for the tail. You don't need to worry much about the tail; as long as you keep moving the bombs he shoots will miss you. But when his head pops up, put as much distance between you and him as possible. If you get too close, he will kill you instantly when he lunges at you.

You'll know when you've killed him when his head pops up and falls to the side. The worms will keep coming after you've killed him, so move to the boss as soon as you see him fall. In order to unlock the achievement, you need to finish the mission.

Moth Hunter 50

Kill the moth in Mission 05 on any difficulty.

Just like the worm, it's best to do this on Easy.

When you start the mission, climb the side of the mountain until you get to the top. Grab the VS Laser Rifle, and wait for the moth to circle the mountain directly above you. Charge up your rifle, and shoot him in the stomach when he flies over you. After you hit him 2-3 times, he'll circle around the mountain one more time and crash into it. Complete the mission to unlock the achievement.

Multiplayer Achievements:

Ace Medal 30

Come in first place in 10 Ranked Elimination games.

This is the hardest of the medals to get, because you need to come in first place in 10 deathmatch games.

The easiest way to get this, is to look for Elimination games on Frozen Wasteland or Training Facility with the Rifle set as the initial equipment. These levels are best for this because they both have the PX-150 in them. In the training facility, the PX-150 spawns on both sides of the map in the corners. On the Frozen Wasteland, they spawn in the metal pit at the base of the tower in the center of the map on most layouts. Get to one of these VS's as soon as you can, and find a shotgun. If you can't find a PX-150 on the Frozen Wasteland, just grab one of the other VS's.

Once you have a PX-150, all you need to do is find the people trying to snipe, and use the saw to kill them. If you can find a shotgun, that's far more effective, but it's not neccesary. Just keep circling the map, killing anyone you can find, and you should have no trouble dominating the match. When you run low on T-Eng, get to a data post and move your VS directly on top of it so the VS is blocking anyone from sniping you. Hop out, grab the data post, and jump back in.

When you get the strategy down, it'll be easy to get your medals. I got about 40 medals using this method. This is also the easiest way to get your Chain Killer achievement.

Elimination Medal 30

You must be on the winning team in 10 Ranked Team Elimination games to unlock this achievement.

This is fairly self-explanatory, and comes down to luck more than anything else.

Conqueror Medal 30

You must be on the winning team in 10 Ranked Post Grab matches to unlock this achievement.

Just like the Elimination Medal achievement, this also comes down to luck.

Hunting Medal 30

Win 10 Ranked Fugitive matches to unlock this achievement.

The Fugitive will always be the host.

The easiest way to do this is to create a match on Pirate Fortress with Rifles or Shotguns as the initial equipment and set the number of hunters to 1. Just run around the map activating data posts and killing the hunter when you can. Each match should only take 5-10 minutes, and as long as your score doesn't hit 0, you'll win the match and get the medal as well as 3000+ points.

Grand Slam 30

Win a ranked match in each of the four game types to unlock this achievement.

Chain Killer 50

Kill 10 people without dying in any ranked match to unlock this achievement.

Refer to the Ace Medal achievement for the best method to get this.

Head Hunter 50

Get 50 total headshots in online ranked matches to unlock this achievement.

The quickest way to get this is to play Elimination matches with the Rifle set as the initial equipment.

Online Master 50

Get your level to 50 online to unlock this achievement.

There are two good ways to get this achievement. If you're good, you can just play elimination matches. I got to level 50 fairly quickly with an average of about 15,000 points in Elimination matches. If you can't get good at Elimination, the alternative is to host Fugitive matches with 8+ people and survive. The more people in the game, the more points you'll get at the end.

Online Century 50

Play 100 ranked matches online to unlock this achievement.

Pretty self-explanatory. You'll probably unlock this long before you get the achievement for reaching level 50.

not sure if the guide in the forums is exactly the same or different then the guide in the guides section, but it was an overall a good guide but there were some typos and inaccurate info, like on the boosting tip, ur friend must suicide TWICE and the winner can only get get the 4100 IF THE WINNER CREATES THE MATCH! and u get around 4100 to 4600 for the win, the base is 4100 but every data post is an additional 500 and u almost always spawn right next to one so they r worth it to get, hopefully a mod will see this and be added to the guide, thanx

This guide and the one posted in the guides section are completely different.

I don't condone boosting, and I wouldn't give advice for it in any guide I write.

If you have to cheat to get an achievement, it's not really an achievement, is it?
