Talking X-Gene trick (read on - hard to explain in a sentence)

Okay, I discovered this at the first X-Gene I found, after meeting Toad. When I first found it, it was for Toad's poison aura. I quit before it saved and reloaded, continuing right before the X-Gene, and grabbed it again, but it was a Colossus gene this time. I did this again and it changed back to Toad, but a fourth time gave me a Psylocke defensive gene. A fifth time gave me a Pyro gene.
You can just keep doing this until you get the gene you want.

Or you can finish the chapter. Replay it and have both of them.

Edit: After awhile you will start to get XPmutators instead of Xgenes.

Or you could keep replaying one of the challenges from the load game menu and keep getting x-genes that way, along with XP. Finished my Juggernaut and Avalance sets this way. Still waiting for that damned Quicksilver utility x-gene though.

Didn't realize you could do that until after I posted this.

The X-Genes are supposed to be "random", so when you reload w/o saving, the X-Gene is usually something different than before.
