Dragon and Vampire attacks on cities

I downloaded all the DLC for Skyrim, but restarted the whole game again...i have 100 hrs in the game now but i have still not started any DLC

The amount of Dragon and Vampire attacks are getting out of hand(especially Winterhold, that place is an asshole magnet),and they keep killing my named NPCs which i hate....i do reload as often as i can,but some NPCs get killed without me noticing

I hate named NPCs getting killed, kill the guards sure...but not the named NPCs!!

I've already lost Birna and her drunken brother in Winterhold(so i had to start 'Ashore in a Sea of Ghosts' another way),and had to reload many a time in Whiterun or Solitude...oh,yeah Vampire Dogs=Bastards

it gets to a point that wherever i go there seems to be an attack...i had three Vampires or their Thralls at Winterhold, when i killed them...2 dragons started to attack at the same time(1 Elder,1 normal)..i do believe i had this face on when it happened>>>

if i finish the main quest, will the dragons lay off a little?

same with the main quest of Dawnguard, will the Vampires cease attacking?

I've had many questions about 'The Amazing World of Gumball' gamerpic,it was part of a competition on the XBL UK dashboard a couple of years ago(download to enter kinda thing),and they don't seem to be available for normal download at all,and the competition(which i didn't win)has obviously ended

I'm not sure about the Dragon attacks, cause I get attacked pretty constantly in Winterhold and Dawnstar by those Dragons. The vampire attacks do stop if you side with Dawnguard, I'm not sure about the vampire side.

Vampire attacks do slow down even if you are on the vampire side. I lost a few npc and one favorite in Whiterun.

You don't even have to finish the main quest completely, just progress a certain way through and they will lay off the cities. They will still be as frequent when travelling outside of the cities though.
