Post Achievement Guide

Player of Games - 5G
Play all four game types at least once each

Just play all four games. This can be done in single or multiplayer.

Game Swap - 5G
Playing online, play at least one game of all four game types in the same session

Set up a player match with a friend, then play a game. Then start another game and press X to swap games. Play that one out then start the next game and press x again. Rinse and repeat till you play all four games. If you have not already got it you will get the 'Player of Games' achievement while doing this one.

Play 5 - 5G
Play online for 5 games

Play 5 games online. It can be any games but it is easy to get this one while you are getting 'Game Swap' achievement. Just play another game afterwards.

King Me! - 10G
Get a king in Checkers

Play checkers and get one of your pieces to the other side of the board to turn it into a King.

Five Kings - 10G
Play Checkers and in any game get five Kings

Just play checkers and get 5 pieces to the other side to turn them into Kings. This is easier to do with a friend over Live in a player match.

Mancala Master - 20G
Win a game of Mancala with 27 pieces or more

The best way to do this is with a friend over Live. It can be done in about 6 or seven turns, but may take some practice. All you have to do is plan your pieces whereyou do not send any pieces to thier side if you can help it. Have them start from the left selecting the dishes in order. This will pile up the pieces on the end dishes. The most of the pieces will be moved to your side. When they have no more moves you will all the pieces on your side by default. Again this may take a few tries.

Mancala Warrior - 20G
Play online with a friend and win 2 Mancala games as white and 2 as black

Jusy as it says. Win two games as white. On the third game press pause. It will have an option to swap sides. Do so and it will start a new game with you playing black. Then just win two more games.

Four Corners - 30G
Capture all four corners in any game of Reversi

This one is best done with a friend. You must plan with your friend moves that will allow you to get a piece of your color in all four corners of the board.

Chess Champ - 25G
Play online and win 10 Chess games

Win 10 Chess games online. This can be done in player matches.

Overkill - 20G
Win at Chess while taking every one of your opponent’s pieces except for the King

I did this against the AI, but it is easier to do with a friend over Live. Just take every piece before you checkmate the King.

AI? Yea Right! - 20G Beat the AI at all four games

Just win a game of all four types in single player. There is no shortcut to this. I will give a few pieces of advise though:
Checkers: If a piece is available to take, you have to take it. Keep this in mind as it works the same for the AI. Try to set it up to where you give it a piece, but you take two in return. Also try to have a back up to your pieces in the middle. I let the AI take the first piece and it was down hill for it from there.
Chess: There is a way to checkmate in 4 moves that worked on the AI. Move the pawn in front of the King. Then move the out the Queen and Bishop. You want them both lined up to the pawn in front of the bishop next to the king. On the fourth turn Take the pawn with the Queen. As long as the AI did not move pieces in the way of your pieces before you move or out of the way of the king you will have checkmate.
Mancala: Try to make it where the last piece you move either lands in the capture dish or on an empty dish next to a dish of the AI's with alot of pieces in it. Other than that practice.
Reversi: Practice. This was the hardest one for me to beat. Keep in mind that the AL will take the move that will always give it the most number of pieces. Try to use this to your advantage.

Winner of Games - 30G
Win a ranked match in all four game types

You have to win a game of each type in ranked matches. If you can get with a friend to do it great. Just remember you have to actually beat your friend for it to count. If you can't get a friend to find your ranked match, all I can offer is a good luck.

Nice guide. I'm very confused on the chess part. I'm not quite sure if I did it the way you explained, but I got it anyways.

Quick notes:

Mancala Warrior: When you pause and switch sides, you get a loss even if you win so it technically takes 5 games to get the achievement unless you completely quit out after the first color, recreate the room as the second color and then win two.

Winner of Games: Even though you get wins when your opponent quits, those wins don't count for this achievement. You have to beat your opponent completely for this to count.

Actually when I did it with my wife over Live it asked if she agreed to switch sides. This was done before we took any moves. She marked yes and it ended that game and started a whole new one. This was also mind you on a player match.

The hardest for me to beat against the AI was Reversi. Man it tore me up about a dozen or so times before I beat it.

Not sure if anyone needs more info on the 4 move checkmate. But if so, here is an illustration with directions I made.

1st move: Pawn "A" to space "B"
2nd move: Bishop "C" to space "D"
3rd move: Queen "E" to space "F"
4th move: Queen "F" to space "G"

I'm not the greatest at Reversi either, but it helps me to not always take the move to earn the most pieces, but to set up for moves that block your opponent from getting a lot of pieces. If possible try to control the edges of the board.

Solid guide. Was waiting for one and the only part I need help on really is winning with 27 or more pieces in Mancala. To me it kind of just seems random and I guess you pointed that out.

Reversi tore me up as well. I was getting blown out. But a easy thing I noticed and first time I tried it I picked up 4 corners with ease and just shut out my opponent on LIVE without filling in all the squares. Try and avoid getting close to the edges and corners. If you can take control of the edges and corners then the rest will take care of itself. You do need to look ahead at the middle pieces to see what will give your opponent the fewest pieces and keep you in good position to pickup a good sum. As long as you avoid the edges and corners and wait for your opponent to give them to you to control it's a pretty simple game.

Haha, sorry, didn't see dtolley said the same thing, but good to see it is a good strategy to use for those of you who are struggling at Reversi.

I usually move the queen two spaces out in the spot that is right above the pawn that is above the bishop marked with a 'C'. The reason is it keeps the AI from moving the pawn that is in the black square next to 'G' up one space and block the queen.

To each his own. I have a few tactics I like to use if this move is countered, and they require that the queen is on that side of the board, that's why I prefer to move the queen to that spot instead. By the way, I don't think that I have mentioned, very nice guide, keep up the good work.

As you are new here I will keep this short and sweet.
Guides are wrote to help people get the achievements as fast and as easily as possible. Yes you can get them by yourself, which I did, but I wrote it for people that may not be a gaming god such as yourself.
I guess you never heard the saying if you can't say something nice..........

I had an idea that would help me a lot.

If anyone made a video of them beating the Ai at Reversi, that would be so great. The computer will make the same move every time, so if one were to mirror the video, we could all get the achievement.

Sounds like a great idea. I just do not have the ablity to do it. If someones does that would be great. I know it took me like 20+ tries to beat it.

I didn't get an achievement in chess. I took all his pieces, then got the King into checkmate, or stalemate, whichever one, yet, I didn't win anyway.....what's up with that?

I cant beat the computer AI at Reversi, Mancala or Chess...

Any online apps that might help me out, for example a place where I could play against a super awesome computer opponent and mimic his moves on my xbox, while I pretend to play as the AI on my computer...

Makes sense right?
