T Push-Ups???

Can anyone provide a method of how to best accomplish the T Push-Up so that the Kinect recognizes it?

The game says get into a plank position with your head facing the Kinect sensor. Lower you body and then raise. At the top of the raise, twist your upper body and reach one hand to the ceiling, then return to plank position.

It seems that the Kinect does see me in plank position and it does see me lower to the ground and raise back up, but it just won't recognize when I twist and reach for the ceiling. I even over-reach, but it still doesn't recognize it.

I have adjusted the Kinect sensor (lowered it to about 16 inches off the ground) so that it does see me on the floor, but still no luck with the twist and reach recognition.

Any suggestions?

This game has never recognized me doing a regular push up, but I found that doing them on my knees works well. Same with the T-push ups. Don't go too fast either, I found that keeping a steady cadence while listening for the in-game tone is the way to go.

My sensor is on top of the TV, I also use every light in my living room [overhead especially].

I was finally able to get the Kinect to recognize the T-Push-Up... what a major pain!

This was my set-up: My Kinect was 2 1/2 feet above the floor, I planked at 7 1/2 feet away from the Kinect, and I planked at about a 45 degree angle to the right. As long as my hand went directly above me, it caught it.

I have the same problem. I failed this move (only one) because it only picked up 1/2 to 1/3 of my reps. Frustrating! Kinect is on top of tv about 4.5 feet off floor and I'm centered in the octagon?
