Depressed after beating Deadly Premonition

I popped the game in a few days ago... was ABSOLUTELY hating the beginning of the game (could have been the worst thing I have ever played).. I kept playing and found myself getting emotionally involved with the characters as the story progressed. The story got so good I ended up beating it in 2 days.. The game was absolutely amazing, the controls were garbage (OF COURSE) but I don't think I have ever enjoyed a game as much as I have enjoyed Deadly Premonition.. The game is so deep on so many levels, especially with York and Zach.. this has easily become one of my favorite games of all times, even though I feel SUPER depressed upon beating the game.. haha

I felt the same way after I beat it the first time. After going through it again on normal and hard skipping cutscenes, I can definitely say the story is the best part of the game. If it had better controls, I honestly think it would've won a GOTY Award somewhere, but as-is it would be incredibly hard for a reviewer to overlook them, regardless of how amazing the story truly is.

Haha. I know what you mean dude. I actually enjoyed playing through this game 3 times. I know, it sounds crazy. I would definitely play any sequels/prequels/spinoffs of this game. What do you think Zach?

I tried playing this and felt like I was on acid. Plus the controls were backwards to me.

I just picked this up yesterday at a local flea market for like $5.00 dollars, lol. I started playing it and I agree with you. At first, I thought the game was horrible. I was simply playing it because the strangeness of it was intriguing, but now I find myself becoming addicted. Lol. Goes to show, never judge a book by it's cover.

However, I will say the strange story is what makes this game. Otherwise, the controls are terrible... but I'm trying to get used to it.
