This guide is the property of myself, the x360a community and x360a.org and is not to be reproduced without my written consent.
Also keep in mind this is my first ever guide, all feedback is appreciated I'd love to make this better as well as more guides in the future.

+Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 3 (2 Arcade, 1 Story)
+Number of missable achievements: None
+Do cheat codes disable achievements? No Cheats

Offline:

History Repeats
(5):
Battle in SOULCALIBUR V for the first time (excluding training and VS battle).

Just boot up your SOULCALIBUR V and play a match in any mode except training and versus and you’ll land this achievement.

A Soul Coalesces
(5):
Edit a player license.

To edit your player license, make sure that you’re at the Astral Home (Menu Screen) and press the start button. This will bring up the option to edit your player license. Make sure to edit each section and the achievement will pop up afterwards.

Path to Glory
(10):
Quick Battle: defeat 50 warriors.

See “Sudden Temptation”.

Road to the Duel
(20):
Quick Battle: defeat 150 warriors.

See “Sudden Temptation”.

Sudden Temptation
(40):
Quick Battle: defeat all warriors.

In quick battle you will come across various opponents with various styles and titles. Some of these players are ghosts of developers or top SOULCALIBUR players. Now this will be quite the challenge for some as the ghosts are extremely cheap in the higher ranks and it will take time to understand the mechanics of the game to better prepare you for A1-5 rank opponents. There are 240 opponents, once defeated you will earn the achievement.

Perfect Trainee (20):
Arcade: clear Asia route.

When in arcade mode you are given various routes to choose from, just select the Asia route and complete it to earn the achievement. This will also earn you Kilik upon the completion of the route.

Purge of the Holy
(10):
Story: clear episode 1.

See “Home is Faraway”.

Shields Come Together
(20):
Story: clear episode 8.

See “Home is Faraway”.

Resurrection of Order
(30):
Story: clear episode 16.

See “Home is Faraway”.

Home is Faraway
(80):
Story: clear final episode.

There are a total of 20 episodes in the games Story mode, these episodes are nothing to difficult and all you have to do is clear all 20 episodes to earn this achievement.

War Veteran(40):
Arcade: clear any route with difficulty set on hard.

This achievement isn’t too hard if you’re use to fighting games but at the same time even if you aren’t its quite simple. I find the easiest route on hard is the Asia route as you are able to ring your opponents out in pretty much every stage in that route quite easily. Good choice of characters when doing this route would be Mitsurugi, Nightmare, Siegfried, or Hilde.

Usurped True Name
(20):
Quick Battle: win against 10 players with titles and use the obtained title on the player license.

To earn this achievement, play quick battle against 10 different opponents. This will earn you 10 different titles, once you have that go to your player license and change your title to one of the titles you have earned.

Pursuit of Obsession
(15):
Quick Battle: defeat Harada TEKKEN.

Now meeting Harada TEKKEN in quick battle naturally would take some time, however if you change the search criteria to (Area: Japan, Opponent Strength: Advanced) you should be able to see his name appear almost instantly, if not do a couple refreshes here and there but you should see him within no more than 10 refreshes. Now defeating Harada is very difficult as he uses the style of Devil Jin from the Tekken series and is pretty much capable of spamming all his moves into an irritating juggle.
I have a video how to beat him my in last post.

Skills for Duels
(50):
Legendary Souls: win with brave edge.

To earn this achievement you must finish the last round of a match with a brave edge in the Legendary Souls mode, this will not be easy as Legendary Souls mode isn’t an easy mode to take on.
Tip: The easiest character for brave edges is Alpha Patroklos' (2aA+B+K)

Passionate Artist
(20):
Creation: create a character with full-on coordination (used everything except for height).

When making a character after adding all the desired parts that you want, change the colors of your attire parts to the exact same color (same hue, and saturation throughout), then do the same for your weapon colors and weapon stream color and you should earn the achievement.

Colorful Illusion
(10):
Creation: take a thumbnail by manually setting a decoration frame and background.

When you have done all you needed to on your created character, take some time to make a custom character thumbnail, it’s really simple and there’s a variety of backgrounds and images to choose from when doing this. Once all that is done you will earn the achievement.

Fetal Soul
(5):
Player level reaches 5.

See “Soul Fulfilled”.

Throbbing Soul
(15):
Player level reaches 50.

See “Soul Fulfilled”.

Soul Fulfilled
(30):
Player level reaches maximum.

As you progressively play the single player modes you will earn player points that level up your player profile, win or lose you do get some amount that goes towards leveling your character. As you level up you will earn titles and additional costume parts. The maximum level is 99 once this is achieved you will earn the achievement.

Stalwart Barbarian
(10):
Perform a wall hit 50 times.

A wall hit is when you hit you opponent against a wall, once you do this 50 times you will earn the achievement. This can be earned in all modes except vs and practice. You can however boost with friends.

Adored by Heaven
(10):
Perform 20 grapple breaks.

A grapple break is when your opponent goes to grab you and you repel the grab with either another grabble or a move which breaks the hold. Once you perform 20 of these you will earn the achievement. This can be earned in all modes except vs and practice. You can however boost with friends.

Like a Flowing Stream
(10):
Successfully perform a just guard 5 times.

To do a just guard you must press and quickly release the guard button at the moment in which you’re opponent attack you. If done correctly your character will move faster than they would from a normal guard giving you a slight advantage for a quick attack. These works on unblockable attacks as well. Perform this 5 times and you’ll earn the achievement. This can be earned in all modes except vs and practice. You can however boost with friends.

Momentary Pleasure (15):
Successfully perform an impact 100 times.

Performing an impact is simply put as a “Guard Impact”. To do a guard impact hold back in the directing you aren’t facing and press a+b+k just a little before your opponent lands an attack, if done correctly you will deflect their attack and this green burst will show. Do this 100 times and you’ll earn the achievement. This can be earned in all modes except vs and practice. You can however boost with friends.

Tip: Some characters such as Xiba, Maxi, have auto GI's that don't require critical gauge. Others such as
Siegfried/Nightmare (during their critical edge)

Black Sword of Death
(10):
K.O. with critical edge 30 times.

A critical edge requires you to have the critical gauge at 100%. Once full to perform a critical edge you must input two quarter circles forward and a+b+k, this will result in your character performing a special attack. K.O with these 30 times and you’ll earn the achievement. This can be earned in all modes except vs and practice. You can however boost with friends.

Hands of the Abyss
(10):
Win by ring out 50 times.

This is pretty easy just play matches as you would normally but aim for ringing your opponent out, once you do this 50 times you’ll earn the achievement. This can be earned in all modes except vs and practice. You can however boost with friends.

Parrier of Swords
(20):
Perfect win 50 times.

A perfect win is a win without taking any damage at all in a round. Simply get 50 perfects and you’ll land the achievement. This can be earned in all modes except vs and practice. You can however boost with friends.

Wind of Battle
(10):
Reach over 87,600 m in total movement distance in battle.

There’s no real need for a guide here, but as long as you move your character in matches this achievement will eventually come.

Alluring Kaleidoscope
(10):
Land a brave edge 100 times.

A brave edge is a an enhanced version of some regular moves. Brave edge’s require 50% of the critical gauge and unlike critical edges the button inputs required to the moves vary from character to character.
Tip: The easiest character for brave edges is
Alpha Patroklos' (2aA+B+K)

Gale Forces
(20):
K.O. the opponent 25 times with an attack after a quick move.

A quick move is when you quickly double tap the directional pad in a way that you are capable of quickly sidestepping. Once you see a dash of streams follow your character you know you have done it correctly. All you have to do is quick move before landing the final blow. Do this 25 times and you’ll earn the achievement. This can be earned in all modes except vs and practice. You can however boost with friends.

Never Ending Effort
(10):
Land an attack 20,000 times.

As you progressively play the game and go for all the other achievements you will land well over 20,000 attacks. Once that is achieved you will earn the achievement.

Footprints of Soldiers
(10):
Defeat 100 male characters.

Defeat 100 male characters throughout any game mode except vs and you will net this achievement.

Give in to Temptation
(10):
Defeat 100 female characters.

Defeat 100 female characters throughout any game mode except vs and you will net this achievement.

Fancy of a Mad King
(15):
Guard burst 30 times.

A guard burst is when you destroy your opponents guard and it gives you a slight opportunity for an attack. Do this 30 times and you will earn the achievement. This can be earned in all modes except vs and practice. You can however boost with friends.

Lively Pub
(5):
Change the BGM in options.

When in the main menu, go to option then stage music settings. Change the song of one of the stages and the achievement will unlock right afterwards.

Online:

Beginning of Destiny (5):
Register 3 rivals.

Registering rivals is quite easy, at the end of an online match simple press the "Y” button which will show you your opponent’s license, from there press the start button to register a rival. Once you register 3 you’ll earn the achievements.
Tip: You can also just go to the leaderboards and select 3 players at random to add as your rival. Thanks CyberEvil.

Proof of a Fighter(15s):
Win consecutive matches on Xbox LIVE.

To net this achievement, all you have to do online is win 2 matches in a row. Seeing as it says XboxLIVE you should be able to boost this and acquire it in player matches.

Mercenary of War(20):
Fight 30 times on Xbox LIVE.

See “Hero Carved in History”.

Strategist of War(25):
Fight 75 times on Xbox LIVE.

See “Hero Carved in History”

Hero Carved in History(50):
Fight 100 times on Xbox LIVE.

As you progressively play online this achievement will come. This can be boosted with friend online in player matches or you can go on and do it solo =p

Carry Out Your Beliefs(10):
Win 5 times in one style on Xbox LIVE.

When online, play as the same character 5 times and win and you will get this achievement. This achievement can be boosted with a friend if need.

Courageous Warrior(25):
Win 20 times on Xbox LIVE.

See “Conqueror of the Arena”

Conqueror of the Arena(100):
Win 50 times on Xbox LIVE.

This may be difficult for some but at the same time shouldn’t be all too difficult. As the achievement states go online and win 50 matches, I would suggest going online with a character that you are very familiar with when going for the achievement. You can also boost this with friends.

Synchronize DNA(5):
Use Ezio in a player match.

Play a player match with some of your buddies or join a random one in session, once in the room play a match to its complete end with Ezio and you’ll earn the achievement.

Awakened to Violence(10):
Reach E4 rank in ranked match.

See “First Step of a Legend”.

Reason to Fight For(20):
Reach E1 rank in ranked match.

See “First Step of a Legend”.

First Step of a Legend(30):
Reach D1 rank in ranked match.

When playing online you will earn player points towards your license, win or lose you will get some amount of points towards your level progression. Once you reach D1 you'll earn the achievement. This can be boosted.
Note: Once you reach the rank of D5 you will start losing points for a loss.

Sings Own Praise(10):
Upload a replay of your win.

To upload a replay of your win, when you select the XboxLIVE menu you will be brought to another screen with a set of XboxLive only options. From there go to replays, then press the which will bring you to your “Battle Log”. The matches that you have in your “Battle Log” need to be saved in order to be uploaded and to save them all you need to do is press , and select a location where to save it. Once that is all said and done all you need to do is press the or look for the “My Battles” sections of replay and then hit “” to upload your replay.

Notes on Rivals(5):
Play back another player’s replay.

To earn this achievement, open up your rivals player license and then hit the “X” button to download a replay from them if they have any saved. Once downloaded you can go to the replay viewer and watch it over to earn the achievement.

Mask Another’s Memory(20):
Arcade: clear a leaderboard route with a record better than your rival.

Getting the achievement can be a little tricky or tough depending on who your rival is. In order to get this achievement your rival “MUST” play the arcade mode and has completed the “Leaderboard” route. Once your rival has a time set for the leaderboard route it’s just a matter of beating their time to earn the achievement.

No-hitter(30):
Ranked Match: win 10 times with Ezio.

While going for “Conqueror of the Arena” the arena take on a couple of matches as Ezio and win 10 of them playing as him to earn the achievement, this shouldn’t be all too difficult as Ezio’s moveset is filled with a ton of surprises that can throw an opponent off guard.

I would really recommend a smaller font. With the larger font, it's a little off putting and distracting. The Pants Party makes pretty damn good guides. I would try and be on the guidelines, such as font size, color, etc... It's good to make the guide look neat and clean.

Heres a link to one of his guides:
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/f...d.php?t=330364

Also on the Online Achievement [Notes On Rivals] Make sure to separate the achievement description and the guide on how to do so apart. So far though not bad keep up and update us and the guide will be great!

I just had a very long post written up and then my router dropped my signal as I hit post. Not happy.

Anyway, going to help out a bit since I was already writing a guide and don't feel that this board needs two.

Going down the list, starting at the top:

Only 2 arcade runs needed. One Asia route on Hard and one Leaderboard for the Rival achievement. Don't need 3.

There are 240 opponents in Quick Battle. Once the last is defeated the achievement will pop. Don't just go by your win counter, though, as it will count all matches, not just unique ones.

Usurped True Name is currently worded in a weird way in your guide. You need to win a title, set it, and repeat that 10 times. Not just once after you earn 10 titles. May want to revise your verbiage.

For the Brave Edge achievements, you may be steering people wrong, as every character has useful Brave Edge attacks. I earned my Skills for Duels achievement with Alpha Patroklos' 2aA+B+K attack, for instance. Very fast shoulder rush that almost always connects on a rushing opponent. All Brave Edge attacks are in the moves list under Edge Attacks. May want to reference that to avoid having folks not skilled with Nightmare or Mitsurugi bash their head against the wall needlessly.

Passionate Artist doesn't involve as much as you mentioned. All you need to do is take a character from scratch (Original character, not existing) and put one of each clothing item on them and change the features; except height, which the description mentions. I went right down the list, changed to some random item, and got the achievement. No messing with colors required.

For Momentary Pleasure, the achievement can also be earned by using characters' moves that Auto Guard Impact (GI). Example would be Xiba's Critical Edge, Siegfried's ducking stance, and Alpha Patroklos' A+B. Not every character has them but they do not cost meter to use. Much faster.

For Beginning of Destiny, you actually never need to even enter a match or lobby. Just go to Leaderboards, select three people at random, and register from their licenses there. Little quicker.

For the rank achievements, you are right in that the first couple can be won even if you lose every match, but for First Step of a Legend, that would be false. Once you enter the D ranks, you lose points for a loss. Going to want to change the wording there to reflect this.

Aside from grammar stuff which I'm guessing you just haven't gotten to yet, that's all I have for you. If you need any help, let me know. I'm only missing a couple achievements at this point.

EDIT: I lied. For Sudden Temptation, there are exactly 240 opponents. You were right, so you can remove the parts about not being sure. If you needed to know more about the mode, just fire away.

Actually it can be boosted. I just boosted the 10 wins with Ezio and also got to E2.

Alright cool, im glad for the help. Ill make any of the changes required. However the Passionate artist didnt appear for my brothers and I until it was color coordinated. Maybe its glitched?

EDIT: Usurped True Name is correct,you dont have to earn them one by one and switch just earn 10 of them and then change one. Tested it on my alt.
Momentary Pleasure: I thought I added the auto dude in my guide. Guess I forgot thanks =P

Well I feel dumb for having changed my title so many times, then. Damnit. Ah well, no harm there.

As for the colors part, I know for a fact that I didn't do it, simply because I hate creating characters in any game. I did precisely what I mentioned. Could be glitched, but that'd be a kind of odd one to be glitchy, I think. I know I looked like a rainbow when I was done so there definitely wasn't any accidental coordination, lol.

Looks pretty solid, though I think I may not have been clear enough on a couple points.

You start losing points for losses in Ranked at rank D5, not D1. D1 is the highest of the D ranks. Kind of counter-intuitive so I probably should have mentioned that. Ranks go: E5-1, D5-1, and so on.

As for the Brave Edge stuff, I meant that everyone is going to find certain characters easier than others. For me it was Patroklos and I called out that specific BE because enemies in LS mode are very aggressive and it counters rush down if done right. I didn't mean it was the easiest in the game haha.

I think I'm going to sleep now, too. Only missing the use Ezio in a Player Match achievement, the ridiculous movement one, the maxed out Player level, and play 100 matches on Live. Almost there! Should have this game 1000'd by the end of the weekend. The last couple are a massive grind...

Hold forward and while running press the y button followed by the right trigger. That's an easy brave edge hit with Ezio.

You don't need to view the replay of a rival either. Much like acquiring a rival, you can just scroll down the leaderboards and look at their license for replays.

The #1 ranked Ranked Match person had two replays, and I'm sure most of the top players have some replays to show off, so check towards the top. That's what I did I never added them as a rival (though, you could if don't have 3 yet).

Thanks for putting forth the effort for making a guide!

Nice guide so far, just have a few tips.

When going for the achievement to wall hit an enemy 50 times, the easiest person to use is Ezio Auditore. Back your opponent into a wall and press while standing still. Ezio will perform a grab move where he launches his enemy up and into the wall, counting as a wall hit.

For the achievement to ring out your enemies, you can use Ezio again and push + . He'll shoot his crossbow and it will always knock them off if they're close enough to the ledge.

+ with Mitsurugi against a ledge is an easy way to get ring out's if there close enough, works almost everytime.

Same thing for wall hits if there close enough + , works very well. And the best map to do that on IMO is Torture Chamber (I think that's what it's called).

Perform 20 grapple breaks.

A grapple break is when your opponent goes to grab you and you repel the grab with either another grabble or a move which breaks the hold. Once you perform 50 of these you will earn the achievement. This can be earned in all modes except vs and practice. You can however boost with friends.

Typo? 20 grapple breaks, and you say perform 50.. Hmmm O.o lol, anyway thanks for the guide, it provided some info that I didn't see elsewhere.

If your having trouble with skills for duels i found it best to use natsu and do her hold forward kick and after that do the LB grab if he grapple breaks it do the kick again.

Leveling up to 99, most likely.

Also, I want to mention the fact that all of the button combinations that you need to press for certain moves are also mapped to the triggers and bumpers. So, for example, A+B+K is mapped to the , A+B is mapped to , and so on. It's listed in the control menu in options, so you might want to mention that.

Guys you actually cannot boost the whole way for the 'First step of a Legend' achievement. I was able to boost (and get the Ezio achievement) with a private match until like E2 or E3, but after that they stopped giving me rank points. I also tried making a non-private room and boosting that way, but still didn't work. Does anyone have a solution to this? So far the only way I've been able to 'boost' for this achievement is to literally search for opponents and keep skipping people until my boost partner and I were able to find one another. This would take forever so I hope that there's a better option.

Just found out that if you hit on the main menu and scroll down towards the bottom, it will show you how many perfects, wall hits, distance traveled, just guards, etc. you have. Its a great way to keep track of those grinding achievements.
