Guide Delay

I just called gamestop to see if they received the guides yet and apparently it's not coming out until the 21st? What gives?

Maybe check somewhere other than Gamestop, like an actual bookseller?

I pre-ordered mine from Amazon and it has a dispatch date of the 11th Feb.

Well they said that there was a problem with the printing or something, I checked a few other place in my area and it's the same thing. I just mentioned gamestop because I have one reserved there.

Also just checked amazon, there isn't even a release date on it. Though it has a publish date of February 16, 2012

If you're referring to the "Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning The Official Guide" by Future Press, it is the same on Amazon.com.

They actually put a post up on amazon:

Hi,

First of all, we'd like to apologize to people who are disappointed that the guide is late. Please believe us, we're working night and day to create a guide that has the same high quality standards as any other Future Press guide. We have increased the page count from initially 400 to now 600 pages to make justice to the massive content that the game delivers. We could have easily deleted entire chapters just to be in time (and the guide would have still been decent), but that's not what we do.

The guide will be out in the second half of February, and we certainly hope that it's well worth the wait for you guys. We really appreciate everyone's patience.

Thanks,
Future Press

If that's the case then I suppose it's worth the wait. Guess Ill just take it slow, and play some more FF XIII-2 in the meantime.

I thought guide writers worked hand-in-hand with the developers? A delayed guide tells me they're either short-staffed in terms of writers or the developers must've kept adding stuff into the game up to the last minute.
