Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse Coming In September

Quote:
It appears Family Guy's foray into video games will expand beyond just Family Guy Online. According to online retailer Amazon.com, Activision plans on releasing a new game titled "Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse." In addition to this placeholder art, the retailer also has the game pegged for a September 25th release.

Just in case that page gets pulled down, I screencapped that baby.

Never played a Family Guy game, so I don't know what to expect. If it's anything like South Park's Tenorman's Revenge, it is destined to be a poor game with decent sales because of the name.

Well it's worth a look. I used to have a soft spot for Family Guy, even if it was never as good as South Park. If it's even halfway decent I'll probably pick it up.

No matter what the reviews I tend to by games based on tv shows I like when they hit the 20 dollar mark. Unless it gets great reviews then I might get it earlier but I doubt it.

I have no doubt that this game will be just as good as the show is.

Proper capitalization matters. There is a massive difference between, "I helped my Uncle Jack off a horse," and, "i helped my uncle jack off a horse."

As long as its nothing like The Simpsons Game with the terrible camera angles I'll be picking this up, albeit not straight away.

As much as I love Family Guy, I can't help but be wary of this. Hopefully it's not an awful cash in and is actually something fun!

I played a Family Guy game on my old PSP back in the day. In my honest opinion it wasn't a "bad" game far from a AAA title but a fun time waster. Might be a good rental title.

As long as they don't base the game on the adventures of Brian and Stewie going through time, I'll be happy with what they put out.

I'll probably give it a go just because it is Family Guy, but hope it will actually be good.

Judging by the name it'll be based on the multiverse hoping episode, not the time travel one.

I was kinda hoping they would show something at Comic-Con. Instead, there is a preview, which you can find here.

Prepared to be let down then.... from what I've seen it will be like the episode Road to the Multiverse where Brian and Stewie skip to different points in time so I guess this will follow that formula of different points in time maybe inc Jurassic/WW1 or 2/Egypt (time of the pyramids) etc

Just found this which gives a biy more insight into the game content

Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse draws inspiration from ‘Road to the Multiverse’ – one of the most popular and notable episodes of Family Guy.
Written by Family Guy talent, Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse features an all-new original narrative that is an expansion on the popular episode. Playing as either Stewie or Brian, each with unique abilities and weapons, players will battle their favourite Family Guy characters as they advance through ‘Multiverse’ themed levels in their pursuit to battle Stewie’s evil twin, Bertram, who has returned and is hell-bent on destroying Quahog.
Fans will also be able to team up in co-op multiplayer mode or compete against each other in competitive multiplayer levels – all with a Family Guy twist!

I've pre-ordered from shopto as they have it down for sept =)

It's def out in the UK on about 5 different retailer websites so I would think it's coming to the rest of Europe

If not you could always get it from a UK site if you're not from the UK
